   Nice stop to get drinks with a group of friends. Very chill spot. Food was pretty good and the drinks as well. Would definitely recommend if you’re looking for a spot to hang out with friends and have a chill time.

   The online menu does not match the actual menu. Why? I was told once the rest of our party arrived that they no longer partner with Open Table (yet I made a reservation on Open Table) and they are no longer a part of the STK Steakhouse restaurant which is on the first floor. The rooftop STK is really a poolside/rooftop bar that offers an abbreviated food menu. You order at the bar, get a number, they bring food to you. Want a refill? Go to the bar. Food is decent. We booked brunch here based mainly on idea it was an actual rooftop restaurant before our show at the San Diego Civic Theater. Great place for a drink, but for sure not anywhere to go to actually eat a meal. Unless you’re in the pool.

   This place was horrible. I waited 45 min for a burger and had to send it back because I told them to put no bacon because I’m allergic and there was extra bacon on it.. The waiter was horrible. It was so cold too the heaters apparently weren’t working. Nothing like the real STK. very disappointed

   We showed up on the top deck, there was no receptionist to meet us. We walked around for five minutes before we found anybody. The one employee up there, did not speak English, English was her second or third language and she could not explain the process for service. The meal was second rate, we waited almost 30 minutes for it was overpriced for what it was.

   While the view and atmosphere of the space were awesome, unfortunately we think the restaurant was short-staffed as wait time to be seated was very long, and quite unorganized. We dined here for breakfast and there were very few customers on site - however it seemed only two employees working in the entire place! The bar was wide open but closed (no bartender). The staff was friendly and they really tried - but the slow service seemed unavoidable. Hopefully when the economy picks up the restaurants in the city will be hiring more staff. Food was good, rooftop location was great!

   Went at night. No one was there & Low on staff which is understandable. But drinks were overpriced and food was overpriced. We paid $32 for a plate of fries and two shrimps. Never again.

    Do not book a reservation here. It is just an extension of the hotel’s pool. The reservation wasn’t even honored. Instead we were told to meet the bar staff to get served. And now I’m left with a “missed reservation” from open table… nothing like you would expect from the pictures either.

    1. Got there and it turns out they had a huge event taking over most of the patio. 2. Finally got seated at the “bar” and were told “you have to order over there” only to find out the bartenders were serving everyone else seated but us. 3. For a Friday night they were lacking items to make drinks. 4. 10/10 would never recommend to anyone! Views were nice.

    My cocktail - Jala-atcha was super yummy. The food was good but the truffle Mac was runny & tasteless. The ambiance was great and need to fix the truffle Mac.

    Service was a little slow, food was decent and had to return the truffle mac and cheese for being flavorless. Embarrassingly the waiter said it was the third time that night he’s heard and had to do the same for the max and cheese. Don’t recommended getting that at all. Ambiance was great, food was average, probably will only return for rooftop views and drinks. The drinks were made well but they were definitely light on the alcohol.

    I was looking for a romantic rooftop experience for my husband's 55th birthday. We were traveling to San Diego from Long Island to celebrate our birthdays, and The Rooftop did NOT disappoint! The drinks and charcuteri board were delicious and once the sun set and the giant firepit was lit it was magical. Thank you for a beautiful evening!

    This dinner was amazing! Experience was outstanding!!! I appreciate you y’all, Alejandro was damn good with all his experience guiding us thru out our meal. Tim an the gentleman in the suit thanks once again my birthday couldn’t have been better being out here! Definitely recommend this place an especially will be back again soon!

    Terrible, we didn’t even get to eat as they turned us away as they were apparently really busy even though we had a legit reservation which I showed them. The manager offered no compromise and didn’t even try to push us out to a later time, he just said too bad… so we went to Eddie V’s instead and not only was that meal amazing, but the staff there really went out of their way to salvage a terrible experience with STK.

    This restaurant appeared to be upscale but it is not. Coffee and water were in paper/plastic glasses. No hostess - we were told to find our own table and there were none available. After I said I made a reservation, they pushed two table together to seat us 4 together. The view was nice but it was not a relaxing brunch. Music was so loud after noon, we couldn't hear each other. This is probably a better place for super casual (but expensive) brunch. Waiter was nice and efficient.

    There is no waiter service and my reservation did nothing. There was 1 bartender and we had to wait in line to order from him and then go sit down at a table with our number. This was for brunch at 11am on a Saturday during Pride weekend. The food was good, but the fact that there was literally only 1 person working (no barback, no host, nothing) was inexcusable.

    It was not made clear when I made my reservation that the rooftop did not include the actual STK menu. I go to the STK rooftop in NYC frequently and the entire menu is included there so I expected it to be consistent with the brand in all locations. We ended up just getting an appetizer and leaving and eating elsewhere.

    Went for Sunday brunch. Not crowded at all. No special service just order from the bar. Live DJ but no customers. I would see where it would get annoying when it is windy and no sun, bring a jacket. Food nothing fancy just the view.

    It wasn’t a restaurant. Felt more like a rooftop day party/hangout with bar food. Over priced I felt for the taste of the food. However the bartender made a STRONG good drink. The ambiance was very nice. Seating is first come first serve.

    OMG this place was amazing! Best views and drinks! Food was surprisingly good, simple but overall tasty. Mike the bartender was a fabulous server/bartender/all around customer service person. Super deserves a raise for all he does. Can’t wait to come back very soon!

    We went to breakfast. No hostess, no sign to let you know to go to the bar around the corner to order. Also, should be a sign telling you to go into hotel to get there. Also, if you are not staying there, you dont have a room key for the elevator. Be sure to ask front desk. Food was decent. They just brought food and that was it, never stopped back by. View was good though.

    I'm surprised STK would attach their name to this place. Even though we made reservations, it was open seating. There was limited seating for a party of two. The only table that was available was dirty. I ordered the Panzanella salad which they forgot the most important ingredient; the bread. When I notified them, they came back with croutons so the salad was basically a house salad with croutons. We were offered the STK Bloody Mary versus a regular Bloody Mary and when we asked our server what was the difference; he said ,"basically nothing." The layout looked like a backyard center that was going out of business. For STK being such a good steakhouse chain, there was nothing to tie the name or signature dishes. Such a waste of space and mediocre food.

    the view was amazing, the music was too loud though we could barely hear each other from across the table. also, the menu was completely different than what was posted online, and with that came the prices being DOUBLE what was posted. it was also really cold, they could use more heaters up there. overall, it’s worth it for the view but expect the expensive prices from the regular STK with more casual food. ($15 per drink, $18 for a burger)

    Awesome view. Great service from the waitress. She told me a joke that apparently no one ever gets and I laughed. She was so excited about that and the joke was actually really funny. (Shane no one gets it). The food was amazing. Music was great. Everything was just perfect about that restaurant.

    We made reservations but it turns out you have to wait in line to order food and drinks anyway so don’t know why reservations were needed. We hated the feeling of once we finished our drinks having to wait in line to order again so we left sooner than we normally would have. The food was ok but the menu was limited. It was alright to try it out but definitely would not come here for brunch again. It’s a good spot with a good view though if you just want to have a drink.
