   It’s the kind of experience you’ll rarely find elsewhere, and a phenomenal one, in our opinion. It’s difficult to answer the ‘value’ question, as it is VERY expensive, but for such a unique experience that’s difficult to compare to much else, it was a most enjoyable experience and well worth it!

   Excellent first, second, and third courses. Main course was somewhat disappointing for both of us. Vegetarian main was not very flavorful and the lamb was a bit dry. Hazelnut ice cream torte was fantastic. Service was excellent. Lovely room.

   We had a disappointing experience. The entrees in particular were really subpar and the meal was not worth $340 we paid. Mind you that was without wine! We ordered the lamb and poached salmon. The lamb was tough, lacked flavor and was quite fatty. The poached salmon was not flavorful and served in a bowl with a tomato broth. Who does that? Why? The place needs a facelift as the appearance is not the opulent place that they are advertising. This restaurant is overhyped. Please save your money. You can do better in Williamsburg particularly for the prices that they are asking.

   Expensive experience that did not live up to expectations. One chicken meal was room temperature. Oysters were fine. Steak Oscar was fine. Water glass was not refilled without a request. No real Christmas decorations. Service time between courses was totally unacceptable. Wine pairings were only OK. We spent a great deal of time waiting and waiting. The best thing about the meal was the small bread choices with 3 butters.

   I travel globally and dine at wonderful restaurants and always leave a positive review, thus I am struggling with how to share how very disappointing this dining experience was on so many levels. First, this was my sister's annual birthday dinner that she looks forward to all year as our treat. My husband and I arrived after my sister and Mom and we were seated 30 MINUTES before our waiter acknowledged us and offered to take our drink order. We are very patient in today's challenging times however the restaurant was mostly empty and at this price point we expected better service. The pre-taste on a spoon was a hard dry salty morsel which was horrible. The appetizers were lackluster there were only 3 oysters with a big glob of overpowering lemon custard, cauliflower soup and a salad. My sister doesn't eat oysters and cauliflower soup at this price was lacking. The beef filet was cooked nicely. The deserts were tiny and lackluster. Overall, the lack of service, quality of food was disappointing and out of line and poor value for the price. Both my Mom and sister ordered coffee which was French press and at some point, I mentioned my Mom's coffee was cold and the waiter said it does cool off but did not offer to reheat or replace. As we have friends who dine here we shared our experience thus we decided to cancel future plans to dine here together. I hope our experience was a one off but here at the holidays I would assume Rockefeller would be at their best.

   The Rockefeller Room offers elegant dining with romantic ambiance and excellent cuisine. The Oysters Abby was a wonderful surprise to someone who has eaten oysters his entire life and the expertly prepared 16oz Seven Hills New York Strip steak was served with delicious accompaniments I cannot describe. The wine (Bin #330) was also outstanding. The meal may have seemed a bit pricy to some, but to me it was well worth it. Service was wonderful also.

    A wonderful experience. Multiple dining experiences at the INN over the years, but none exceeded the positive experience this time. The five course meal was very special and our service team was truly over the top! While much has changed at Williamsburg since our first visit in 68, the Inn has maintained its excellence, and perhaps eclipsed its fine reputation with the current service and food level in the Rockefeller room.

    It was our 33rd anniversary and what an extraordinary culinary experience we enjoyed that evening. Each course was better than the next , ending with the grand finale dessert. The decor is stunning elegant Williamsburg and the service was educated and professional, explaining all ingredients. The most impressive was the artistic arrangement of each course. Our BEST anniversary dinner so far!

    One of the best meals ever! Food was amazing and expertly prepared --- the meats were cooked perfectly - melt in your mouth. The staff was quite exceptional. Restaurant is gorgeous. Overall a truly fantastic experience. The best of the best and worth every penny.

    Fantastic service food staff. However they charged for nonsparkling water. Thought it was “regular” water. Surprising. Other chef’s gifts before and after dinner really special. Great experience.

    Could not have asked for a better experience. We came in the day after our wedding to enjoy our first dinner out together. As soon as we arrived that staff was amazing. Very attentive staff from start to finish. We had a 9pm reservation. We where a little worried about the reservation being so late. Some places would rushed us but at no point did we feel rushed. If you are a wine drinker I highly recommend adding the wine pairing. Having the pairing made the food even better and we learned about the wines being serviced. You can’t go wrong here. Everything is wonderful.

    Elegant dining room, excellent service. Three-course meal: The roasted cauliflower and smoked almond bisque soup was delicious (the foraged mushroom were fresh and tasty), the roasted Laughing king oysters were ok (I didnt think the lemon sabayon worked with the warm oyster and I thought it odd that the warm oysters were served on a glass plate), the rack of lamb was ver tender but had way too much fat in proportion to the small amount of lamb, the honey nut squash was tasty. Was disappointed with the dessert - Trio of Delicacies- the lemon cake had no flavor and the tuile wafer was soft (not crisp), the chocolate turtle torte with peanut had the consistency of fudge and was overly sweet, but the worst of all was the panna cotta —- inedible due to too much gelatin added (evidently added to achieve a honey comb appearance from the mold— however ruined the texture and flavor

    Excellent service. Sharon and Angel were attentive and professional. The food was served beautifully and plated well. Everything we had chosen to eat was divine and prepared expertly. We were happy to once again dine at the Rockefeller Room and enjoy the quality which it has maintained.

    This was a spectacular 50th wedding anniversary dinner! The 3-course price fixe dinners included: appetizers -oysters, delicious green salad with ham, eggs, and pickles; main courses: scallops with fave beans, corn pudding, filet mignon with mushroom gravy, onions, asparagus, and potatoes; desserts - a medley of cake, raspberries, honey candy; or a hazlenut chocolate torte. Delicious, delicious, delicious!!!

    $300 for two after food, taxes, and tip... That provided us 2 beers, one cosmo, two house wines, 3 oysters, one cup of soup, two 8oz filets, and two desserts. Nothing exceptional about any of them, but the filets were good. The service was dismal... Sat for 20 minutes before anyone acknowledge us. Finally got our first drinks 30 minutes in along with some bread. While told in advance and at the table that my wife has a gluten allergy, still didn't get any she could enjoy until 45 minutes after seating. Got tired of waiting endlessly to order a second round of drinks, and left the table to get drinks from the lobby bar... An hour and 15 minutes after seating, we got our entree's. Mind you, this prix fix meal so you are stuck with it regardless of how poor everything is. So, two hours passed while we waited and waited before we got our check which we had to beg for.... Total waste of money and time was my take away...

    I did my externship from culinary school there and it was nice to enjoy a dinner there. Chef Travis and his team did a wonderful job and Ryan our server made sure that we were getting everything we needed and explained everything to us.

    Absolutely amazing! We went for our anniversary and had such an enjoyable experience. The ambiance, the food, and the staff made the experience one to remember for years to come! Can't recommend this place enough. It is pricy, but worth every penny!
