The Ridley is THE destination for upscale-casual dining and fresh seafood offerings in Charlottesville, Virginia. Located within The Draftsmen boutique hotel, The Ridley combines convenience and accessibility with an unparalleled dining experience. We were pleasantly surprised by our brunch at The Ridley. The manager stopped by and informed us that they were under new management and chef. We very much enjoyed our meal and service and will definitely return on a visit to Charlottesville.

We were stunned by the noisy Bar, but happy to be seated in the room farthest from it. Our server was lovely, but clearly overextended. Our food was brought by other waitstaff.
Snapper overcooked and dry, but paired with truly complementary sides. The scallops were flawless, as were the fried grit cake and Maque choux. House was out of selected wine.
We’ll be back after all the noisy students have gone home.
Perhaps a barrier between bar and dining? We could barely hear the lovely music.

Ambience was great. Drinks were great. Menu was a little boring, very similar to the restaurant that was there prior, service was decent. 3/5
