Delicious food, interesting menu, good wine list. We were three friends dining together - one vegan, one pescatarian and one meat-eater - and all left super satisfied. Get the sticky toffee pudding for dessert!
Can be pricy but oh so good. Have never been disappointed here. Staff is exceptionally friendly and accommodating.
Beautiful restaurant, decor was nice, and the view was spectacular, will definitely need to come back for dinner.
Special Place for ambience healthy delicious food staff well trained casual and gracious our waiter Chase was excellent and personable a place not to miss for history as well as the dining experience
fabulous venue, food and service is wonderful always.
Scrumptious food. Tasty cocktails. Spectacular view. But the wait staff attitude is underwhelming. Might choose “carry out” next time.
Great views, cool design, varied menu with vegan/vegetarian/meat options.
Two Bunch Palms is undergoing a rejuvenation with the restaurant and amenities getting a makeover. We are very happy to see this gem being upgraded to a modern boutique hotel. The restaurant was fun and Michael and the wait staff were very friendly and attentive.
Had the best server that made great conversation! From the minute we pulled up to the resort to getting our car from valet everyone was so nice and welcoming. Although we came just for 'Twine' I will definitely be back!
Great breakfast brunch and amazing views !!
We enjoyed our dinner. The food was delicious. We felt relaxed and we served in a professional manner by our server, Ursula. We look forward to dining at The Restaurant again. Thank you. Alan
Food has always been good, but service throughout the resort his lacking. Trying to act like a 5 star resort with too few service people plus lack of training is ridiculous. We have been coming to the resort on and off for 30 years and its gone downhill. We witness people upset about something throughout our stay. Staff is friendly but thats not good enough.
Magnificent setting overlooking a serene pond and mountains...warm and friendly service. Burgers-traditional and Turkey were delicious and cooked to order. Sides of garlic fries (yummy) and perfectly grilled asparagus.
We were visiting and enjoyed our meal of shrimp and grites, also had the turbot with a very good glass of wine
Our first visit to Two Bunch Palms was for lunch and we all thoroughly enjoyed it. The food is fresh and delicious with many healthy choices. Service was spot on. We’ll be back.
Wanted something away from hustle and bustle of Palm Springs. 20 minute drive brought us to a quiet sanctuary. Enjoyed a healthy lunch on the terrace. Great service.
Healthy options and the best gluten free waffles I've ever had! Definitely recommend the bloody mary. We sat down right away and the staff was very attentive. Will for sure go back.
The host and servers were excellent. The room and view were very nice but the lighting was too dim.
The food was good quality but a bit over thought. The burrata had too much cheese to bread ratio. The salad was drowning in dressing. The black cod was very good. Less saucy and spicy options would be better, but overall the food was good.
New menu just released. So delicious.
Service very uneven. Menu items misrepresented dishes (Bison strip steak: menu said served with fingerling potatoes actually served with new potatoes and grilled asparagus. I am perfectly fine with new potatoes and grilled asparagus, but that is *not* what I ordered). Dinner took 2½ hours for three courses. Food was pretty good, but at $100 per person, it really should be excellent. Steak temperature was correct, beet salad was good—although the arugula was pretty beat up, and 2/3 of our salad plates were chipped, which isn’t a good look. We tipped a mere 15%, which is not something that we *ever* do.
Perfect, thank you very much. :)
always great, whined about it the last time we went but they had an under construction menu. also they turn off open table occasionally, there next essence is in Tokyo
The duck tacos weren’t very good, unfortunately. The bison steak was good, a bit light on the vegetable accompanying the dish. The location is beautiful, but the menu could be improved, particularly in this price range.
OMG a gem! Located in a zen-sational resort, Essence offers you fresh farm-to-table delicacies and a staff that feels like family. We felt blessed to have found this haven of scrumptiousness.
This is a very nice restaurant, the food os great quality and many options for veggie, gluten free, keto and the like. The service is a little bit random. we ate here several nights, some night with great service and others not. But the vibe is relaxed and chill so we didn't mind as much.
Restaurant week dinner with friends. The room is lovely with a beautiful view of Mount San Jacinto. Desiree, our server, was pleasant, courteous, and efficient. The food was unique- duck tacos, bison steak, charred wedge salad- and so delicious. Another winner from Chef Joshua. Delightful evening. Our guests from Modesto,CA loved it.
If you are into nostalgia, legend, or lore, then a trip to Essense at Two Bunch Palms is a must. By California standards, it is historic, if not epic. The meals at Essense are very fairly priced, which is not what one might expect at an establishment with such toney clientele. However, it's Southern California (and the desert, at that), so everyone is very welcome and comfortable. We hope to return quite often!
Wonderful menu, great wine list, and the best view in the Coachella Valley! The staff is amazingly friendly and helpful.
Very pricey overall... Example my husband and I had fish tacos, eggs Benedict, coffee (each person) and a side of fries for $70
Restaurant week brunch- first time there. Beautiful setting and view from the dining room. Staff very prompt, courteous and friendly particularly waiter Augustin and chef Joshua. Food unique, beautifully presented and delicious. Will be back.
Nothing really special about the restaurant or the food. Portions were small - I had shrimp and grits and I was hard pressed to find the grits. Service was adequate, but certainly not great. The facility was stark - looked more like a lodge at a national park than a fine dining room. There could be outstanding views, but the dining room does not take advantage of the possibilities. The price was on a par with a fine dining establishment, but nothing else was.
We like taking visitors to see Cabot’s Pueblo, topped off with a visit to Two Bunch Palms for lunch. We have eaten there several times. The view and the room are lovely and the food is very tasty. But the food now seems over priced and the wait staff is slow.
Excellent food and service. Great venue with beautiful grounds.
The directions link in the app pointed us to a totally wrong address. We were surprised to see guests in bath robes in the dining room. The food was nothing special considering the price. The waiter was kind but inexperienced.
Good food and drink is to be found at this classic venue. This spot could add a nice little piano lounge, and it would fit right in !
Essence, in it's past two incarnations - as a full spa restaurant and then an Asian fusion restaurant when the new owners purchased the spa, was a lovely place to eat in terms of the service and the food. The latest incarnation needs quite a bit of work to find its footing, as the quality of the service staff has declined considerably - perhaps the new owners were too hasty in their renovations?
I had the best avocado toast I’ve ever had at a restaurant. Service was great and ambience was very warm and cozy. We would definitely go back again.
The restaurant is located in the very nicely appointed Twin Palms Resort. The only downside is the mandatory valet parking, as it was cold and windy to wait for the car to arrive.
This restaurant must have a new chef, because our food was much, much better than during our last visit to this spa resort. Too often, a rather isolated resort like Two Bunch Palms pays too little attention to the food offered since it has a captive customer base. But our last meal here was tasty enough that we would consider driving here just to eat.
Had our first bad meal at essence in years of coming here (#avoidthepasta), this is usually one of our most favorite spots. That said brunch (eggs benedict and avocado toast) was superb. All in all a great experience, just have to order better.
