   definitely in start up mode , long wait to be served had to grab a random server to kick start the evening . starters were good , main course and feature of venison cold and soggy batter .. a lot of work to do to get to the advertised hype ..

   We were very excited to try The Restaurant at Albert on our girls trip weekend. (We also stayed at the hotel.) While I can appreciate an upscale meal, this was not it. The few tables they have are right next to the hotel lobby and bar without much of a divider so it was fairly loud. Our server was good, but still learning so could have been better. For example, I would expect that when he brought over extra wine glasses for us, he would pour the new glasses as well as refill the ones already in use (we had purchased a bottle). The food was mediocre at best and not at all worth the price. We ordered the red fish and it was extremely bland. The beef tallow fries were okay, but not not great. The sauce they came with was cold. Overall, I feel they are over reaching in both menu and price for the level of service and quality of food. They probably have potential to be great, but just missing the mark. Details matter.

   Predominantly a very large bar scene with a few dining tables. Attempts at avant cuisine main courses were pricey and underwhelming. Desserts were spectacular! I would gladly recommend for dessert but have dinner elsewhere.

   Appetizers and drinks selection was amazing! Sides were also very good. Lamb was possibly the best we’ve ever had. Only disappointment were the three Wagyu ribeye steaks: and they were very thin and felt like a cheap steak at Denny’s. Those three steaks stood in stark contrast to what was otherwise a perfect Dinner.

   We went to the Albert for brunch – while the food was very good, the service was poor. The staff seemed untrained. The ambience was stiff no background music at all. It did not create the kind of experience you would expect for the prices. The decor and layout completely missed the mark with guests sitting too closely together. I might give it one more chance because the food was good, and I’m hoping that they improve the service and the staff training.

   Strong kitchen but serious service issues here - very lengthy delays for almost everything, mistakes on wine availability and billing. Friendly people and really excellent food, but not the experience one would expect from this venue and price point. It seems like they have a brought in a new manager who will hopefully turn this around. Rooting for them, but not there yet.

   Beautiful building. Painfully slow service. Extremely small portions. Flavor just wasn't quite there. Overall an incredibly disappointing experience further hurt by just how much they charged for everything. I cannot recommend this place. Perhaps they can figure it out in another year or two, but for now I suggest they scrap the whole concept and start over.

   Not what we expected given the price point. Had 2 Wagu steaks supposedly cooked medium rare, as per chef recommendations. One steak was more on the medium side and the other was medium-well and tasted like an overcooked piece of meat from the grocery store. Also doubt it was Wagu meat. I have had Wagu before and it usually melts in your mouth and is particularly tasteful. The meat we were served was far from that. Cocktails and service were good but the food was a big disappointment for the money.

   The ambiance was lacking but the food made up for it. Our server was absolutely amazing and helped with our dining experience, guiding us through the menu and recommending dishes based on what we liked. Don’t miss a chance to dine here.
