   The food was absolutely terrible. This was our first time going there and we couldn't have been more disappointed. I ordered a shrimp po boy. It was served in a hot dog roll with 4 shrimp that were incredibly over cooked. It was awful. My husband ordered the lobster bisque which tasted like a stick of salted butter. Don't waste your money. There are great alternatives in the area.

   Food was delicious and we would eat here again however we were places by a door that kept opening and slamming closed by the waitstaff and guests to go outside. We visited in March so this was freezing cold breeze multiple times during our evening visit. We made a reservation and the restaurant was pretty open, why they put us there even after warning us “it may be drafty” is beyond me. Next time we’ll try the bar

   Great meal at the Reef for sunset, beautiful views, live music and relaxing ambiance. We were well taken care of with excellent service and also "the man with the hat" running the floor. We will definitely return

   Getting ready to shut down at 9 on a Saturday night which was surprising but the service was good and everyone was very friendly and our meals were delicious. We’ve been before and we’ll be back again I’m sure.

   Chris was very attentive to our needs. Food was awesome but on the very pricy side. Unfortunately they did not have the Lobster Mac and Cheese that we saw on Yelp that they were famous for. The lobster with Vodka sauce was excellent but very expensive. We had a great view of the harbor. We will come back in the summer hoping they would have a more expanded menu. Good Dinner especially the people running it were very nice.

    I made a reservation. Came in about 10 minutes early and was asked to sit at the bar and they would get us once the table was ready. Had some drinks, and time was just passing by. We figured that place was full and people were hanging out , drinking and having a good time. Was close to an hour later that we were like they either forgot about us or they are busy. We went to the main dining room and saw about 5 empty tables. I told the front desk that you forgot about us and we left. I live 45 minutes away, I’m not coming back. Ended up eating what was like a frozen bag of nuggets at Applebees like 9:15 at night. Happy Valentines dinner. I noticed on Yelp others have had similar reviews. Might be great food but I didn’t get a chance to try it.

    Candlelight dinner was a romantic setting for dinner. However service was extremely slow. We waited over 30 minutes for our reserved table. Waitstaff were busy running back and forth from the dining room tables as well as the special igloos outside. Dessert took extra long to prepare. Overall experience lasted over 3 hours when we expected 1.5 to 2 hours. Recommend more staff.

    The view is beautiful and next time we will sit at the bar so we can get an even better look at the ocean. The servers were great - efficient and friendly. Our food was good although the clam chowder could have been warmer than just above lukewarm. Overall experience was enjoyable and we will come back.

    We are locals and attend the Reef every once in a while for dinner and we absolutely love their brunch menu . Starting to become a monthly tradition . The service is always hospitable , very clean and enjoy the Sunday Music during brunch that they offer . The food is always delicious and consistent and will keep coming back .

    We had a recommendation to this restaurant for New Year’s Eve Dinne , it was 4 course dinner, not chip, we look the menu before we go . It was a spectacular menu. The service was good but very slow, as we sit we had to chose all the 4 plates, but when it was time to come the entree, it past at least 40 min to the server tell us that the lobster was ended, since others guests arrived after us and had the lobster, it was a descase, we order another plate but it wasn’t what we want. I made a reservation so they must be prepared for all guests. We are not going to return to this restaurant.

    We had a 7:15 pm New Years Eve reservation. After waiting too long to order drinks and then receiving the wrong drinks our waitress informed us that they were short staffed and had a new bartender. My husbands chowder was cold but we couldn’t reach a waiter to return it. His steak was also lukewarm as was my baked lobster. This was $130 per person and definitely not worth it. Very disappointed with overall experience.

    I highly recommend the calamari. Super tender and delicious. We had the shrimp scampi and the salmon. Both were delicious. The shrimp scampi was the right amount of sauce garlic. The garlic really made it! I highly recommend the Reef. Next time we want to rent an outside igloo.

    I had booked a reservation through Open Table for the Winter-wonderland Igloo however when we arrived there the hostess stated that those igloos were not available and we had to choose a different theme. She said we didn’t leave a note for the winter wonderland igloo and so that’s why we could not reserve it although our reservation clearly stated winter wonderland. Also when we got to the igloos there was only one winter wonderland set up to my knowledge and it was taken. When you book these reservations online it makes it seem like there’s multiple igloos of that theme especially this time of year (right before Christmas) and we made the reservation over a month in advance. We chose this place to celebrate Christmas with our families so it didn’t make sense to have to choose between the leftover themed igloos especially when you’re paying $100 to rent it. Other than that the igloos were cool and the food was great. The waitress was nice. The woman cleaning the igloos was miserable. For the cost of the igloos to not even be guaranteed the one you want, I probably won’t return. Cool to do once though.

    The igloo was the best! The shrimp scampi was delicious! The bacon and cheddar fritters were also very good! The waitress did her job very well! We were able to play our own music in the igloo with the jbl they had in there! We loved it and will definitely go back!

    10/10 experience. I went with my girl friends for our friendsmas! The manager came and greeted us with the bottle of wine we ordered, the server cracked jokes and gave us song recommendations/ took pictures of the group! The food was amazing and so was the service We can’t wait to go back

    We celebrated my daughter’s birthday in the citrus igloo. It was so much fun. The food was fantastic. It was hot and delicious. Drinks were great, but the server was the best. She gave us attention, but did not smother. We all had a great time.

    Booked the reef for Friday night 715 dinner … burgers were amazing! Beautiful bar, fireplaces and ambiance .. had igloos outside … inside was almost empty . No idea why. Hidden gem??

    We booked a winter wonderland igloo. They called to confirm our time, informed us of the late policy. We arrived a few minutes early and were told they overbooked the igloo and we needed to wait a half hour. Ok. We wait at the bar. Finally our igloo was ready, yet it was not the one reserved it was a summer theme. We wouldn’t have minded but we paid $100 to have dinner in the igloo not including the cost of the actual dinner. Once seated it took another 32 minutes for someone to take our order then 35 minutes for us to get out food. Food was grossly overcooked but waitress never came back so we ate what we could. I could have been more understanding if they were busy but they didn’t have one guest on either side of the restaurant. Only guest were In The four igloos outside so not busy enough that out service was poor. Asked for the check and it took another 15 minutes Waitress never came back to collect our check so had to leave cash. $240 plus tip for an awful experience Plus on the reservation I told them it was my husbands bday and requested they bring out a cake which they never did.

    We rented the Botanical Garden igloo and it was amazing! It was so cozy and beautiful. We had a wonderful time. Our waitress was attentive and sweet. The manager came to check on us and was very nice. Food was delicious and drinks were great. Would definitely do it again.

    We sat for about 10 minutes in an empty restaurant until our server said I’ll be right there and got us water, then left and came back 10 min later and got our drink order and appetizers. Appetizers came out before my wine which he said the bartender lost the ticket, then took our food order. Luckily the food is so good that it saved the dinner we were having to celebrate my husband graduating the war college.

    Plans were changed we were booked for the igloos but they weren’t ready yet. the server was slow, only one other table was occupied but never refilled water. The shrimp cocktail was great! The Brussels were amazing! It’s a shame both our entrees were not great. Hubby got wagu steak that was full of gristle, and over cooked he asked for med rare and it was more med. I got the vegetarian meal but the quality of the veggies lacked freshness. Our wine was great, saved the day. Oh and no dessert was ever mentioned… it being my birthday we were hoping to have a little something sweet.

    Went for restaurant week menu and their braised beef was out of this world delicious! Actual the entire 3 course menu (clam chowder appetizer and apple peach cobbler dessert) was so expertly made...I will be returning😁
