The Pub and the People is a bar and restaurant in the heart of Washington D.C. that plays with the political climate of its location in the decor and styling of its dining room and menu. The dining room is decorated with both photographs by local artists as well as political cartoons and satire. There is a spacious outdoor patio for guests to sit when the weather is nice, as well as a large indoor seating area complete with a fully stocked bar.

The menu is made up of mostly American bar food with creative seasonal twists. Current appetizers include pumpkin mac n' cheese, bourbon chicken liver mousse and grilled tuna with avocado, ginger soy glaze and crispy vermicelli noodles. Popular entree options include an array of sandwiches like the crispy pork BLT, seasoned black bean and rice burger and a sumac and chickpea burger.
