   3 of us ordered an entree that was delivered without a key ingredient. When we asked, it was given to us cold. The 4th guest also had a cold entree. The restaurant made it right, though. They comped our meals and gave us a free bottle of wine. It wasn't the server's fault. He was great. So we tipped on the full meal. The manager was also good, so I can't complain. It was a situation of a bad experience that was completely remedied by the staff. Best we could have hoped for.

   If you are looking for a restaurant with healthy food and quality staff this is the place to go. The servers are very professional, knowledgeable and experienced. The food is healthy, yet flavorful.

   Hands down the best dining experience I've had in Austin. The view reminds me of the Flagstaff House in Boulder. Sit outside, even if cold out, they have heat lamps The food is farm to table, simple and fresh. . Dinner for 2 including 2 appetizers, 4 wines by the glass each was $195 ish. This is associated with a resort, so it can be difficult to get a table on weekends or during busy periods. They must make sure all guests staying at the resort get seated. They may have more capacity then they make available on Open Table. One of the managers suggested calling if nothing available here. I went in on a weeknight in mid December and mid January, and we had the place to ourselves.

   The Preserve is always a great culinary experience. Executive Chef Ben Baker and Sous Chef Blanca Zesati make an amazing team. They consistently execute creative dishes that delight both the eyes and the taste buds. This place never disappoints!

    Travaasa is a hidden gem that is peaceful, quiet, and off the beaten path. Well worth the drive. Great for special occasions, especially an anniversary. Excellent whiskey selection.
