The Potting Shed restaurant and bar is located at Dorset Square Hotel, a beautiful Regency townhouse in Marylebone. Open all day for breakfast, lunch and dinner, as well as coffee and cocktails, it serves a brasserie style menu. Think Crispy squid with garlic and lemon mayonnaise; Grilled chicken paillard with Bull’s Heart tomatoes, pickled red onion and rocket, and Affogato.

A garden-inspired Afternoon Tea is served every day between 1pm and 4pm.

For £25, enjoy the Dish of the Day. From Pea and asparagus risotto on a Tuesday to Roast of the day duck fat potatoes, seasonal vegetables, Yorkshire pudding and gravy on a Sunday, each plate comes with a glass of paired wine.

In the bar, Aperitivo Hour is every day from 5pm to 8pm. Each cocktail (£12) is accompanied by a plate of bar snacks.

Met with friends for a pre Christmas lunch. We were able to sit and chat easily which is what we wanted and the food was good as well

A convenient venue with good ambience but the food was somewhat disappointing and the service slow. That was unhelpful as we had made it clear to the staff that this was a pre theatre meal and so we needed to get away in good time.

Food was Ok. And a a bit expensive. An aubergine salad for £22 not good . Steak £25 OK but not melt in mouth, only chips served with it. Thought wine was very expensive plus service charge of 12.5% too much.

Afternoon tea - disappointingly the sandwich bread was not very fresh and the little cakes also were dry. A brownie should be gooey not crunchy. Scones were good and there was plenty of tea.

I love this little gem which is very close to Marylebone Station. Serving staff - both at the bar and at the table - are lovely and friendly. When my friend and I went on this occasion it was a little noisier than usual but it was during the Christmas period and so was very busy. Service and food was still wonderful though.

Lovely environment. Great menu - best chicken I have had in a long time. Excellent bitter chocolate mousse with honey comb. Janey, the head server was spot on with her recommendations. Phil, the bar tender does the best Negronis in London. Lovely Bulgarian waiter.
