   We have wanted to come for 5 years and eventually got around to it for our wedding anniversary and it was great. Generous portions and a wonderful array of starter and main course specials. Need to book in advance especially for popular times of the day. All the waiting staff are excellent We will not wait so long in future to enjoy this wonderful place.

   Well recommended. Perfect spot to eat but you need to book! Service was excellent. Every member of staff was friendly and pleasant. Food was excellent. Beautiful haddock. Lobster is lobster to me. Expensive and over rated but so much more choice on the menu. We will definitely visit again. Thank you The Potted Lobster!

   Fantastic seafood restaurant. All staff were excellent and the menu and specials board offered lots of options. I had advised the restaurant on booking that it was my Mum's birthday and they wished her a Happy Birthday on arriving and the dessert she ordered came with "Happy Birthday" piped on to the plate which was a lovely touch. Everything we ordered was beautifully cooked and very tasty. Thank you to all for a lovely afternoon

   Great seafood restaurant in the pretty town of historic Bamburgh with lovely staff, excellent cookery & lots of choice on the menu. I had halibut which was delicious & would definitely recommend a must visit x

   Really looking forward to meal but very disappointed. Chowder starter lukewarm and had to be sent back - too much lemon so sour and bread stale. Potted lobster good but toast so hard almost inedible. Mains were fish and chips been advertised as the best ever but chips dry and tasteless, fish batter soggy next to fish and pea purée very runny not pleasant at all. Staff very apologetic but at over £100 including wine it was far below other venues in north and south of England. We were taken in by celebrity reviews- never again.

   Had the fish and chips. The fish was enormous and tasted beautiful but the batter was uncooked on the inside so I was unable to eat it. The chips were dry and on the hard side, so I didn’t eat them either. A different potatoes needs to be sourced. I did tell them but no compensation was offered

   Easily the best fish I've had. Food was beautiful, service great all in all would highly recommend this place to eat

   The food was amazing. I had potted lobster, and my husband had salt and chilli squid with Asian slaw and dipping sauce for starters. We both had haddock and chips with mushy peas and homemade tartare sauce. Although we tried our best, we couldn't finish our mains, although managed the fish. The fish was beautiful and the batter was so light.

    Friendly relaxed environment, good menu with daily special additions beautifully cooked and presented. Good cellar with reasonable prices. Staff were friendly without being over attentive. Cannot wait to visit again.
