The Post Chicken & Beer - Estes Park
We start with humanely raised, all-natural chicken, brine it for hours, give it a dip in buttermilk, dredge it in seasoned gluten-free flour, and then pressure fry it to crisp, golden perfection. Our brewers craft incredibly drinkable, food-friendly beers meant to pair perfectly with your meal. Come for the chicken, come back for everything else.

Absolutely amazing chicken!!!
Get the thigh fries without question!
Love the new Post at the Stanley. Only concern is booths are strange size. Smaller booths barely fit 4 and larger booths have little room between seats and table. We will request a table next time.
Also, we made it clear this was a birthday celebration and, unlike most restaurants, a complimentary dessert was not offered.
Loved our waitress. Food was excellent! Our new favorite Post.
The chicken was extremely dry. And most of the food was pretty bland. I was excited to end out Estes trip here but ended up very disappointed.
The staff was incredible! 5 stars for each of them... Found the food to be lacking flavor and for the price, I think something would need to shift there to keep people returning. Appreciated that they are honoring locals by doing some fun new things on weekday nights. Again, bringing the food flavor-wise up a few notches or taking the price point down quite a bit to match the flavor and I would return often.
Our server, Dillon, made the experience quite pleasant. We chose the restaurant because of it being featured on the Triple D television show so we were expecting over the top food. The fried chicken was good but not great.
Waiter was very knowledgeable and we let him order for us!
All the food was fantastic, and service was above and beyond.
Our server Andre was great, and the manager came to check on us and that was really nice. The food was fantastic, I had the fried chicken ranch BLT and my husband had the chicken and waffles. However the whole thing was marred by the red head woman working in the magic shop near the bathrooms. She was incredibly rude and short with us. She made us feel unwelcome for just using the bathrooms and spoke to us as if we were intruding. I'm unsure if the business are connected, besides sharing the building, but that encounter really soured the experience.
Very good food, excellent service!!
The food was amazing! We ordered a family style meal which was plentiful and delicious. We had a reservation made more than a month prior to the dinner, so we were quite disappointed to be seated in a room separate from the main dining room. It was in a cold annex with a view of high chairs and stored summer items. Perhaps the table could be rearranged so that no one has to stare a storage during a special celebration meal.
Very happy with the breakfast burrito, waffles and veggie hash skillet! Sooooo good!
The food overall was bland. The chicken was flavorless and the desserts were dry and not sweet.
Great food, my family and I will definitely be going back.
We had made reservations for Saturday brunch at 10:30 and got a phone call at 9:00 AM to see if we could be there at 11:00 instead due to a "kitchen issue". Was not a problem; just inconvenient. Once there we ordered Bloody Mary's (an advertised signature drink, but then told they were out of Bloody Mary mix and would not be able make them so we chose something else. Again, not a problem just inconvenient. Hoping this was just a bad day and not a reflection or overall poor attention to meeting customer expectations.
Unfortunately some of the kitchen equipment was down, so the full menu was not available. What we did have was very good and the waitstaff did an excellent job. As Arnold would say: "I'll be back"
The chicken was beautifully fried and the cocktails and beer we had were amazing too. The server was super friendly and the overall atmosphere was super nice.
Food was exceptional, as was the service.
Cute space, good drinks and delicious food!
Seated right away, server was very attentive at first and then got a giant table so a couple of small things fell through the cracks but another server took up with us and our original server came back to say good bye.
Chicken strips is 4 to a serving so more than we expected which is fine! Chicken was juicy, crispy, not too salty; fries were plentiful, slaw was really good, Mac and cheese has some chili ish spice to it (not my favorite with the spice- probably mentioned on menu - someone else ordered it) but good! Overall - perfect for what we needed.
Best chicken leg and kids' waffles we have EVER had!!!
Reserved 2 days in advance, arrived on tine, requested a booth, denied even though there were booths available. Ordered 1/2 chicken, service was great, my thigh was bloody inside near and on the bone, I told 2 people nothing was done about it.
Delicious food, great ambiance, service was 10/10. We had the deviled eggs, 1/2 shrimp and chicken tenders, all were so yummy! The Moscow mule was also great. They have a small menu but everything sounded so good, and we were happy with our meals!
Excellent management and service. Even though they were short staffed they went out of their way to give us a great experience. Food was fabulous even for vegetarians and gluten free
The Post staff was excellent and the chicken did not fail to please. Thank you, we enjoyed!
We enjoyed our meal. This Post location is new and is hitting the high notes of the early days in Lafayette (which has slipped). Located in a building at the Stanley Hotel.
Love The Post! Their food is always amazing, service was spot on and the location/ambience was perfect! If you are in Estes, or any of their other locations, stopping in for lunch or dinner is a must!
Everything was wonderful! The food was delicious and fast. The beer was nice and cold! The server was nice and attentive without being overbearing! All in all we will be back!
Food was great, servers very accommodating, a little loud-but otherwise a great way to celebrate!
It was amazing!! Our server Holly was the best! She made our experience so enjoyable!
Line out the door but with open table we waited 5 minutes. Server was friendly and genuine. My gf got a great drink. I got the howdy pilsner that tasted….just a little off. But the pour was perfect. The chicken was amazing! Mashed potatoes were also great. We had ordered the Brussels sprouts appetizer which happened to come out after the meal. The manager came over and apologized without us mentioning a thing and took it off our bill. The sprouts were the best we ever had! Had a unique flavor and some marinated onions in there too.
I’d recommend this place to anyone. Our server was inattentive and indifferent, which impacted our experience. The other servers we dealt with were very friendly and helpful.
We’re on vacation In Estes Park. This was probably the worst experience we’ve had in a restaurant. it started out really bad. We’re on vacation in Estes Park. Estes Park is a special place to us. It started off really bad. We had a reservation at 4PM. We arrived at the restaurant 5 to ten minutes early at the most. Instead of inviting us in, they made us wait outside in the cold because their doors don’t open until 4 P.M. To us, this is poor practice. A restaurant should never make their customers wait and be uncomfortable. This also allows opportunity for customers to leave, which we were considering doing. We decided to give it a chance , but everything went downhill from there. When I made the reservation, I requested a table with a really nice view, as we’re on vacation and my husband and my father-in-law are into photography. I also requested that we have a really good sever, we are quite particular, as we should be especially at a restaurant like this at the Stanley Hotel. The table they sat as at the was very drafty. We asked to be moved, despite there being ample tables, they didn’t want to move us. They said they would keep the door closed, that’s definitely not what happened. The door was opening and closing every 5 minutes. After asking multiple times, they finally agreed to move us. We should have only had to ask once. It’s not like we came in without a reservation. My husband and my father-in-law ordered the half fried chicken, which they both said was very good. However, it didn’t come with any sides. We’ve had fried chicken in nice restaurants and it came with sides. Additionally, we noticed that the server didn’t write anything down. We don’t like when servers don’t write things down, because it’s too much opportunity for mistakes. I ordered a cheeseburger. I didn’t get any cheese on my cheeseburger. I also asked for lettuce and tomato on the side, if the meal came with it, I didn’t get it until I was done with my meal
Dillon was a great server
Food was delicious
Best Brussel sprouts
Well, this was less expensive than if we were to dine in the Stanley Hotel’s main restaurant but the chicken was just OK. The portions were really big. We had the fried chicken, the macaroni and cheese, the homemade slaw (excellent), and the cheddar biscuits. They were all good. I just wish the chicken were a bit more tender. Everything else was really good. Our server was especially great. You have to pay $10 to park with a five dollar token off the bill.
The food was tasty, we were a party of three and all of us were pleased with our selections!
Our server Dylan was the best! The food here is great and we are actually going back again tonight!!
Great overall! Thanks
