   I respect my friends and family far to much to recommend an average hotel and venue. HHI has FAR better to offer.

   Arrived: 8:30pm and said I had a reservation. The hostess seemed perplexed but sat us anyway. Band playing nearby. Great atmosphere at sundown. Seated: same hostess said she would get us water because she wasn’t sure where our server was. No menus. After about 10 mins, still no water, the bartender came out and asked us if we had been helped. She was fantastic the rest of the night. Never saw the male waiter who was supposed to help us which was fine by me. Ordered: 8:55pm Food arrived 9:45pm was prepared well. Tasted great. Refills were on point by server. About that time, another table who had arrived before us finally received their food after us from the male waiter we were supposed to have. The customer asked to see the manager because it had taken so long. The MANAGER did not apologize, in fact, she raised her voice and said she didn’t have to listen to him complain. Then she HAD THE MAN, his wife, his mother and son THROWN OUT OF THE RESTAURANT by security!!! UNREAL!!! She came out laughing about it in front of her staff and customers. The shift manager should be fired. Accepted no responsibility for anything. It’s clear she doesn’t have control of the staff. Thank you to the personal heroics of the bartender for saving our night. With out her, I would have asked for the manager and would have potentially been humiliated in front of my family.

   Images online made this place look like mire than what it is, which is a poolside hotel eatery. We were expecting something more. The menu was more limited than we expected and although we planned ahead to request indoor seating, the doors were all open so it was hot! Love the heat when we’re in the pool, not when we’re having dinner. Burgers did look good and fried shrimp was decent. Service was good, although as others have mentioned we did have someone point out they were closing at 10:00pm. The real question: would we return? Nope.

   We had to wait quite along time for our dinner, our party of three and one other party of two were the only ones there. Once the food arrived we were swarmed bye flys.

   The server was pleasant. My husband ordered a mojito, however, the server informed us that you had no more mint. Not sure how a restaurant runs out of an ingredient that is required for at least two drink. The server was trying to be helpful by suggesting another drink but that required mint as well. I ordered a burger, well done. The bottom of the burger was totally burned. I never had that happen before. I couldn't eat it all. I told the server while we were paying, he apologized although it wasn't his fault. The server said that he would have made sure that I received another burger. To be honest, I wasn't going to wait longer to get a burger. It seemed like we had to wait longer than we should have for our food. My husband had ordered the ribs, the meat didn't fall off the bone. My daughter did enjoy what she ordered. So, for me, I was disappointed by this visit and don't plan on coming back. And I don't need to because there are many other restaurants to visit.

    Perfect beachfront atmosphere where you can grab a bite without being surrounded by only swimming gear. Food was good although it was very heavy for a day at the beach. Porkchop is delicious although they didn’t tell me it would be breaded. I could’ve also done without the gravy on top. My husband’s ribeye was excellent. My son enjoyed the ravioli and succotash. Our server was wonderful, she is friendly and made our experience enjoyable. I thought she said her name was Shelby but I can’t remember. We had a party of three, got in right at 5 o’clock , Had a couple of drinks and just enjoyed the sound of the ocean. Highly recommend if you’re looking for a relaxed place to go sit down and have a meal. It does overlook the hotel pool so you occasionally have kids running around unless you sit indoors. Our table was off to the side so it wasn’t so bad.
