Gaylords now rebranded as The Plantation House by Gaylords offers one of Kauai's most beautiful settings for lunch, dinner and happy hour. Located in the historic Kilohana Plantation home, diners are seated around an open-air courtyard with views of the plantation grounds and Mt. Waialeale in the distance. Our kitchen uses only the freshest, seasonal ingredients supporting our local farmers and fishermen. Our 67-acre sustainable farm provides much of the produce and herbs used in our dishes and cocktails. Menu items include starters like fresh Ahi poke, fried brie, fresh seafood, delicious steaks and vegan entrees too. Don't forget about our famous Banana Cream Pie for dessert! Take a walk around the Kilohana grounds, shop in our assorted boutiques, visit the Koloa Rum shop, go on a rum safari adventure or take a ride on the plantation train.

    The food was fantastic. The atmosphere was excellent. I would’ve given them five stars all around, except that they seated another party, thinking it was our party and we waited additional time unnecessarily. However, upon realizing their mistake, they quickly corrected it, and it turned out to be an amazing evening.

    It was a tie…on what was best . The poke stack, fried Brie or the fish Oscar style or Jeff’s amazing service!!!

    The service was really slow and they make you aware that you only have an hour and a half to dine. It was so slow that we never would have had time for dessert. Our fish and chicken were overcooked and dry. We ordered a glass of wine and it showed up after our entree. We overheard the waitress asking other dinners to pay before they were done eating. We didn’t eat much of our entree and waitress never asked if there was a problem, we sent it back basically untouched. We had been here before 2 years ago and had a much different experience, very disappointed and won’t go back again.

    The best bartender with the freshest cocktails sweetened by natural sugar cane! The food was outstanding - I’m still dreaming about the salad dressing on the sashimi salad and the Ahi Poke Stack was DELICIOUS!!!! This is a restaurant not to miss as the surrounding grounds are beautiful ❤️❤️❤️

    Dylan is a terrific server. He took good care of us. We were grateful to have Monchong fresh catch—a favorite of ours. The Caesar salad was especially fresh and tasty. Our friends enjoyed their meatloaf, sweet potatoes fries, sides of asparagus and chocolate desserts

    We had requested a seat in the gazebo, but were told when we arrived that they weren’t busy enough to open it. So we were seated by a party of 12, with kids. Not great for a romantic dinner. Then we ordered the chefs speciality, fish Oscar. Given it was his specialty, I was surprised that the hollandaise was broken. And there was a TON of it.
