Gaylords now rebranded as The Plantation House by Gaylords offers one of Kauai's most beautiful settings for lunch, dinner and happy hour. Located in the historic Kilohana Plantation home, diners are seated around an open-air courtyard with views of the plantation grounds and Mt. Waialeale in the distance. Our kitchen uses only the freshest, seasonal ingredients supporting our local farmers and fishermen. Our 67-acre sustainable farm provides much of the produce and herbs used in our dishes and cocktails. Menu items include starters like fresh Ahi poke, fried brie, fresh seafood, delicious steaks and vegan entrees too. Don't forget about our famous Banana Cream Pie for dessert! Take a walk around the Kilohana grounds, shop in our assorted boutiques, visit the Koloa Rum shop, go on a rum safari adventure or take a ride on the plantation train.

    Came back here for the first time in years. Food was just okay. Not at the level for the price point. Restaurant grounds are beautiful but the tables/chairs etc felt old. Service was good. Needs a little TLC.

    If you ever find yourself on the lush, serene island of Kauai and are searching for a dining experience that transcends the ordinary, look no further than our dinner at The Beach House Restaurant—a true culinary gem nestled right along the shoreline of Lawai Beach. From the moment we arrived, we were greeted with the warmest aloha spirit. The host led us to an oceanfront table just as the sun was beginning its descent—painting the sky in breathtaking streaks of orange, pink, and gold. Watching the surfers catch waves while sipping a handcrafted lilikoi (passion fruit) cocktail was the kind of magic you can’t replicate. The service was impeccable—attentive without being intrusive. Our server was knowledgeable about both the menu and the local ingredients, offering insightful recommendations that made our choices even more enjoyable. We started with the seared ahi tuna, perfectly crusted with sesame and served with a wasabi aioli that gave it a subtle kick. For our main courses, the macadamia nut-crusted mahi mahi was the showstopper—flaky, buttery fish wrapped in a golden, nutty crust and resting on a bed of coconut jasmine rice with a ginger-lime beurre blanc that tied everything together in perfect harmon

    Great food. Reasonable prices by comparison with similarly rated restaurants in the area. Lovely outdoor dining environment. Very attentive manager. Great experience - we will be back our next visit to the Garden Isle.

    Gaylords is our favorite dinner place for anniversaries. We had our wedding dinner there with friends and family 13 years ago and our 10-year celebration with the same friends and family. The food is always great and the plantation house and grounds are amazing.
