The Pink Door is an independently owned (never cloned, never genetically modified) restaurant that has been quietly dedicated to fresh & local Italian food since 1981. Its seafood & produce driven menu has been the central theme throughout its wildly popular domain in Seattle's Pike Place Market.

    I’m not sure what all the hype is about. I saw so many reviews about how the lasagna was the best and to try the squid ink pasta. I had a hard time making a reservation for my wife’s birthday. I requested that we be sat in the lounge if there were performers scheduled. When we arrived for our time slot the place was pretty empty. The placed ended up being pack by time we left and there ended up being performers so they ignored my request because the host read my notes and then sat us near the window where I guess the view of the bay is, but they had all the shades closed even though it was a beautiful day outside. The service was very slow, food was decent but not really memorable. I had hope this was going to be a great place to celebrate my wife’s birthday but it was a pretty big letdown to be honest. I guess the hype is just for people to say they went to the place, but I don’t get it.

    Reliably great food in a well designed space. I have never been disappointed with the food. Coming here feels like coming home. Atmosphere is relaxed and the service and design show care and a desire to make you feel comfortable and well cared for.

    We recently moved here from California. We could not be more happy to find a restaurant that equals some of our Bay Area gems. If you’re looking for a restaurant that’s pretentious this isn’t it. If you’re looking for gourmet food, relaxed dining and quality service this is one of those places. We will be back.

    1st time here and what a FABULOUS experience! The service was stellar! The ambiance was wonderful and the food was delicious and beautifully presented! Will definitely ba back!

    The cheesecake was my favorite part! I wasn’t amazed by the rigatoni but the appetizers and deserts were amazing. Nice service and ambiance, great natural lighting!
