The Pink Cabana is an ingredient-driven restaurant featuring Mediterranean cuisine with a Moroccan influence. Chef Jason Niederkorn has received world renowned accolades from Condé Nast Traveler, LA Times and Forbes, amongst others. Designed by Martyn Lawrence Bullard, the Pink Cabana is designed to be a fresh modern take on the great tennis and racquet clubs of the 50’s and 60’s in Palm Springs.
The Pink Cabana also specializes in elevated libations. Featuring unique wines from Mediterranean climates designed to pair with all of our culinary offerings. We also feature a variety of complex seasonal cocktails influenced by the Great Spice Route. Great patio and setting for dinner. They are known for cocktails and the Negroni and safe margarita were average. The food was average although we were disappointed in the chicken as it was dry and overcooked.

Even making allowances for Covid, this was a poor experience. We ordered cocktails which took nearly 15 minutes to arrive, despite the fact there were few other tables seated Our appetizer was served well before then the cocktails. We ordered a bottle of wine to go with our dinner but had not received it by the time we were more than halfway through our main course. At that point the server approached to ask if we wanted another cocktail; we reminded her of the wine order and asked that it be canceled.
The food itself was very good, though the portions were extremely small for the price.
Dinner was great, very clean and inviting. Dining room area/bar is amazing. Server was great assisted us throughout the night with our dinner. Highly recommend.
Still favorite place in the desert even without the lamb tegine ! Service was outstanding ambiance safe and perfect setting. Mussels and frites and drinks were fabulous.

I noted that I have a Birthday when booked dinner in the restaurant but didn’t get any complimentary drink or dessert, or anything else which is unusual for a restaurant.
Overall the meal itself was pretty good, but as for the service level, it could be better for the price.

During these COVID times, many restaurants are suffering - if nothing else, because they don't have an adequate or even pleasant outside dining area. Fortunately for The Pink Cabana, it is located in the Sands Hotel & Spa, which provides them with a wonderful, intimate outdoor dining space. It's romantic and quiet. But then there's the food. Everything my wife and I had was delicious - some more so. We started off with a moist and delightful yogurt naan and the red kuri (not curry) squash soup that had some unbelievable flavors. My wife had the harissa chicken, which was superb, while I went with the tagliatelle pasta, which at first struck me as out of place here. But it wasn't. Very Mediterranean. It was not your typical pasta, with mushrooms, squash and other items that made for a unique and tasty dish. They also had some wonderful wines from Northern CA vintners that had suffered damage in the recent fires - so good wine and a good cause. All in all, it was one of our more pleasant dining experiences in the desert. Highly recommended.
The Pink Cabana has adapted brilliantly to the COVID 19 rules by moving tables to the secluded, quiet, & beautiful outdoor garden usually used for weddings. The Sands Hotel itself is just a kick to visit, with all its black & white striped cabanas and splashes of hot pink everywhere, it’s Mad-Men-Rat-Pack era decor, and it’s Moroccan influences everywhere.
Food was interesting, varied, unique, and very good. I had the mussels with fries, my husband had the filet. Both were perfectly prepared and delicious. Don’t miss the small plate Frito Misto: a fun combo of artichoke hearts, calamari, and olives—-yum! The chocolate soufflé was the perfect sweet ending. Also, my Aperol Spritz was as good as any in Venice. So I had two. Our server, Christy, was top-notch, friendly, knowledgeable, and genuine: there when we needed her but not hovering or phony (my pet peeve).
All in all, a lovely, quiet place to enjoy some Mediterranean-style food in a beautiful atmosphere.

Good potential but they have some service issues to work out. Food was tasty but needs to be served on hotter plates. They were out of wine glasses and had to reuse our glasses for a different wine. Cocktails was delicious. Tried to give them the benefit of the doubt during these times but they need to make some major adjustments because the prices are high.

It was lovely EXCEPT for the music. It was not conducive to conversation. Im pretty sure we won’t be returning. Our waiter was outstanding.

Food was great, ambience is hip and cool. There were long waits between our courses. My daughter ordered a 2nd drink halfway through entree. After our food was cleared, she flagged hostess down and said to cancel drink. Waiter brought drink a few minutes later and said they would comp her drink. Bill came and drink was still on bill. We asked and they did remove it. Overall, I would probably go back - food was good and ambience was fun. Could be a new server who is still learning or it was disorganization in back. He was very nice.

What is not to love about a place called the Pink Cabana. The food, atmosphere and staff are all top notch. I have had the salmon, harissa chicken, fish special along with trying some of the filet. All of them are amazing! I love their house salad as well. On this last visit to the Pink Cabana, our table was next to a delightful gentleman who struck up a conversation with me. Come to find out, he designed the kitchen for the restaurant. The decor of the restaurant and hotel are very cool and chic. I highly recommend!

It was possibly the worst service I’ve had in years. Our server said close to ten words to us all evening. Brought wine to the table in silence, opened it, poured it without asking if we cared to taste, and walked away. The menu is limited and execution of the dishes poor. Frito misto was very greasy and calamari was terrible. Would never return and never reccomend.
