The Pig and the Lady comenzó como un humilde restaurante pop-up que evolucionó después a un stand con productos de cosecha local, convirtiéndose eventualmente en un verdadero restaurante cuyo chef Andre Le (doble semifinalista del premio James Beard) dirige junto con su familia, creando platillos esencialmente familiares, presentándole a los comensales de Honolulu una moderna y audaz gastronomía de origen vietnamita. El chef Le y su equipo han desarrollado un enfoque moderno y fresco de la comida tradicional del sudeste asiático utilizando los productos locales más frescos, sirviendo platillos como en famoso banh mi y pho, junto con los nuevos favoritos. Staff was friendly and funny. Chris was an amazing server and helped guide me through the menu- could have floated away at the end of the night.

P&L is consistently excellent. Green papaya/watercress salad was terrific, lots of flavors and textures; shaking beef was the best I’ve had since the old Slanted Door in SF. Tried to sop up every drop of the sauce with the rice. The latest in a string of top meals at P&L!

We had been wanting to try this restaurant for some time but it was definitely underwhelming. The food was over priced, the Pho 75 (specialty) did not even taste like pho, chicken wings (another specialty) was bland unless drowned in their sauce. Staff was friendly enough and atmosphere was lively. Definitely didn't appreciate the unexpected extra 6% kitchen fee on top of the overpriced food. Would not recommend.

Got help from Alex on switching my reservation and that was awesome walk right in and got help off the bat Shawn was our server dude had some cool frames for glasses and help us and did a remarkable job from start to beginning hope to visit one more time before they hele out to Kaimuki you guys made China Town proud 🤙🏼

Second visit this month — still blown away. We started with the Ahi and fried green tomato bites and the Bánh Xèo — both packed with bold, layered flavors. Pho #73 was rich and comforting, and the Mango Soft Serve Swirl was the perfect finish. Every dish felt like an adventure. We’re already planning our next visit to keep exploring the menu.

Always great food. Service was kind of slow. I got my food before the rest of our party. They waited another 15-20 minutes for their food.

10 out of 10 experience! This was highly recommended to us and it was awesome. Interesting and delicious cocktails, concise quality wine list. Every dish was well executed and clearly had so much depth and thought behind it. Service was warm and attentive. We never had to ask for anything, waters were never empty, timing of dishes was great. We were celebrating birthdays for my Son and my Husband and it was such a great experience. If we didn’t live on a different island we would be regulars for sure. Oh, also special shoutout to the coolest bathroom ever, iykyk. :) and sit at the counter if you are a restaurant person and want to feel at home. Gah, Thank you, The Pig and the lady, I want to go back already! 💕
