In January this place was exceptional on ALL levels! In April the sandwiches were dry. This time the sandwiches and scones were dry and the desserts were very disappointing as well. The young servers were amazing despite limited knowledge. I will give them one more try for fresh good food.

Great ambience in a beautiful old house - authentic and carefully cared for. China was sweet and the service was excellent. Really enjoyable. I felt it was a better value than the Empress - better prices and very personal. Will be back.

Four grandaughters, one mother and one grandmother had a fabulous experience at the Pendray Tea House. The towers of goodies and the tea and the ambience made it a memorable experience.

My partner and I took Scottish High Tea for dinner on a Thursday evening (note that Scottish High Tea is only available in the evenings). The Pendray Tea House is part of a beautiful inn tucked in the Inner Harbour, and provided a sweet, old-world charm to the experience. The savoury portions of the tea were lovely; we recommend doing the wine and whiskey pairings, which highlights the local wine and whiskey makers. The tea selection was lovely, and light symphonic music poured through the dining parlours. I found this experience to be a far calmer, fitting tea experience - with beautiful scenery - than The Empress' (though there are extra touches at The Empress like a burner for your tea to keep warm). Highly recommend!

A wonderful dinging experience. We each had our own pot of tea and the food was delicious. The selections were very tasty and there was enough to satisfy, with some left over. The room was bright not crowded, plenty of space between tables.
