Love the restaurant but our waiter was not attentive. He rarely checked on us and we were sharing appetizers but never brought extra plates. It was a birthday brunch and he mentioned that he would be doing some thing grand … and then never acknowledged it again. Very strange and disappointing.

From start to finish we were treated with excellence. My date and I both noticed how well each dish was spaced out in the meal. The servers gave us just enough time to enjoy each plate, and then have a break and talk before bringing out the next.

The restaurant is beautiful, the service was OK and the food was mediocre. It is very expensive, and you expect to be blown away by the taste of the food. I do not want this place to fail, so hopefully someone will see this and make some changes to the food. I’ve seen many reviews that say the same thing. Kebabs were way overcooked and rice was kind of cold and bland. The hummus was good. The atmosphere is great, so if you’re looking for somewhere cool to go for a drink, this would be a good place.

Service was inattentive and slow. We waited 35 minutes between our app and mains, but it was not a busy time—maybe 5 seated tables, no large groups—and we could clearly see kitchen staff just hanging around doing nothing. The food was fine, but definitely not worth the price. You can get much better for less elsewhere. However, you want to pay more to eat at an Instagram-worthy spot, Peacock was very pretty and very ‘Grammable.

We waited 15 minutes to be seated (there was no line), but the food arrived very late and was cold. The place was at least half empty. The food here is overpriced and no longer of high quality. The valet parking is $30, which they don't compensate for. There are so many better places in Austin
