   We are locals and love trying new spots. Had a moody vibe with dark, rich colors. Nice menu with a range of pricing options, which we found refreshing. Everything ordered was great with lots of flavor. They have 2 levels of regular seating and a 3rd on the rooftop, where we had a drink after our meal. Would go back!

   The overall experience was great! The only reason it didn't get 5 stars across the board is because there are few places I've been in my life that are perfect in every way. This is one of the best places in Charleston.

   We had an outstanding Easter dinner at The Peacock with our family of 11. The service was spot on, the atmosphere was trendy, and the menu had something for everyone—from teenagers to older adults. Every single person raved about their dish, which is rare for such a large group! Between all of us, we tried nearly everything on the menu, and not a single plate disappointed. Highly recommend for a memorable group dining experience.

   Food is mediocre at best. Crab dip was more cream cheese than anything.

   Enjoyed a delicious meal. Try the Truffle Fries! Shareable. Loved the art deco decor. Great people watching.

   The service was very good but the appetizers we ordered were not. We ordered a crab dip that I’m not sure had any crab in it. It didn’t taste very well either. We also ordered roasted pecans. They served them to us burnt. The waitress said the kitchen knew they were burnt. They didn’t charge us for the burnt pecans.

   Having dined at multiple restaurants downtown, was underwhelmed with Peacock. The service was exceptional, but the food not memorable, lack of flavor in fried green tomatoes, salad was also not flavorful, spicy pecans were burnt, ketchup with fries(not my choice) was watery, and wasn’t asked regarding doneness of steak kebabs, came med/well, would have preferred med/rare.

    Cocktails were solid; had one from menu and a paperplane (not on menu, but was made true to form). Charcuterie was tasty- our table ate every single piece on it. Maket fish special was amazing. Green beans were tasty but a tad over sauced. Desserts (cheesecake and tiramisu) were perfect. Service was attentive and friendly. While no child menus, provided plastic cups for kiddos!
