Gastro Pub
We welcome you to The Palmerston where you can expect fine dining in an informal, pub environment. We offer an extensive wine list sourced from around the world. Friendly and knowledgeable staff are on hand to assist you and ensure that your experience with us is relaxed and enjoyable. The Palmerston re-opened after a much needed refurbishment on the 27th of February 2004. Since then, under the guidance of Head Chef Jamie Younger, it has received much critical acclaim and has become a firm favourite in the increasingly popular East Dulwich area of South London as proven when, through public vote, the Palmerston won the "Best Gastro Pub in London, Gold award' at the LBC, Independent Newspaper - 'Living London' 2006 awards. In 2008 The Palmerston entered the top 60 in the UK Restaurant awards.

We have been doing date nights at the Palmerston for years, absolutely love everything about it. Very sad to hear it is going under new management and changing its format.

Restaurant failed to Tel the public that IT WAS CLOSED ON MONDAY!!! And that it's closing down. So we didn't get in! OpenTable apparently failed to put a notice online about the pub being closed not just for lunch but also for dinner!

The Palmerston has been a East Dulwich institution for 15 years and one of the pubs that turned East Dulwich into the place it is now. It is a terrible shame that it is being taken away from the current leases by Enterprise inns, and this will be to the detriment of the pub and the area.

Great pub, great food, great staff! Shame the lease has been revoked and the pubs future is now unknown.

Good food, friendly servers, good value. Usually a good ambience, but this time a table of noisy diners was distracting.
