Great food and great service. Love the new location downtown.
Grew up going to the Palm and was so excited to bring my fiancé for thanksgiving with my parents. It wasn’t great… busser removed my dads martini thinking it was finished and it wasn’t. Corey our server though was 5 stars. I don’t write many reviews but felt like it was worth giving a shot out to The service. Stay away from the old fashion’s it taste like they do a pre make. It was pure sugar! We probably wont be giving it another shot but hope it goes back to the old palm ways on Westhiemer.
Thanksgiving and two birthdays
So pleased to see the new location and loved the new meeting rooms and expanded wine list. A perfect blend of the old and the new. Our server, Ramon, was flawless and the General Manager came by personally to be sure everything was to our satisfaction. Definitely on our "regular return" list.
The restaurant is beautiful, the staff is terrific, our waiter, Tony is the best! Kudos to Eric, the manger for doing such a great job pulling the new location together! We’ll be back often…
The food, as always at a Palm restaurant, was superb.
The service, on this occasion, was not at all what we would deem acceptable. The waiter seemed nice enough but tended to disappear for lengthy periods. We ordered lobster gnocchi but were served truffle gnocchi instead (this was corrected). We ordered a decaf coffee with dessert but the coffee came well after the dessert was finished. One of the other waitresses kind of helped us out when our waiter disappeared.
The piano player/singer was fantastic and added greatly to our experience.
Overall, this was a disappointing experience but we loved the food and will return for another try.
Outstanding! Food was great; the restaurant itself was gorgeous! I am going back again for sure.
First time at the new downtown location. The design is a nice blend between keeping the Palm idea while being timeless modern. Our waiter was great! Friendly, very service oriented. The food was prepared with large portions! Well done to the Chef and servers!
Great food and service.. a little noisy, but we could still hear each other talk.
Too noisy for a business lunch
Fanflipingtastic!! Food, staff, & drinks!! We loved it!!
Another nice time at The Palm. Food and service are first rate.
Staff was exceptional and friendly! Especially our server. Food had wonderful layers of flavor. Veal was one dish and linguine & clams. Delicious. The live music 🎵 was incredible talent.
Hemos estado en varias ocasiones en este restaurante, sin embargo, esta vez no superaron nuestras expectativas. Sentimos un poco duras la langosta y las manitas de cangrejo estuvieron también duras. Esta vez no fue la mejor.
We had a great dinner and service was great. The music in the bar was extremely loud-too loud‼️. Eric moved us to a much quieter table in the bar.
Excellent experience. Would highly recommend the ambience and location for a business meal
Everything was okay. My only complaint is that I called prior and asked about payment. They told me that we could pay separately but instead they had us pay with different cards on one tab. We had to do our own totals because the machine wouldn’t allow it. It made the end of the night a hassle.
Great date night for downtown Houston.
Everything is superb; gigi salad is phenomenal! A must-have. Romantic setting in corner booth. Wonderful evening. We'll be back for sure.
A little loud - very hard to have a conversation over the din of so many diners. Need better acoustics
The Palm is not living up to is decades old standard of excellence
First time to the Palm. Great service, pleasant and sophisticated furnishings. So high marks there. Food was deemed to be above average. The roasted chicken had good flavor but was dry and overcooked. None of the veal choices were available that evening. So went with 4th choice of the pasta. Pleasant yet otherwise non-noteworthy. It was my choice but thinking i should have gone with the chicken Parma offered as a replacement for the veal. The best part of the meal was the cheesecake for desert. Rich and creamy. Best I have had in a long time. It was complimentary due to it being a birthday occasion which is appreciated. A thoughtful consideration by management for those celebrating an special occasion. Live piano bar/ lounge music in the bar area which was nice. Unfortunately the music from the live performer in the bar area was piped into the dining area at a volume high enough such that we found it uncomfortable in that we had to raise our voices to talk to each other across the corner of the table. Perhaps fine if expecting an energetic night out on the town but less than romantic.
Great food, great service and a very nice dining room. Entertainment was too loud.
Food was good.. everything else was great.........
Excellent food and remarkable service
The singer Ariel Hill was excellent. I've never heard a better singer in a restaurant before, and I have been going out for dinner five days a week for 35 years. Because of her we stayed longer, drank and ate more.
Food and service was great. Small menu. Music was nice and not to loud.
Service wasn’t the best , food was badddd .... waiters nice but busy , manager very nice
We had a great time at the new Palm restaurant visiting with friends visiting Houston. We needed to pick a downtown spot and this was the perfect place. Food was 5 Star, service was honestly incredible, every detail accommodated. The live music was outstanding. We will definitely return.
Very enjoyable dining experience! Food was delicious and service top notch. Live music provided by singer / piano player was a surprising delight. 5 stars
We went for a birthday lunch and it was a great experience. The Palm offers a "power lunch" at a very reasonable price. Must have is their bacon appetizer and homemade mozzarella. The sides offered are decent portions for 2-4 people. Service was excellent. Only "complaint" is the music is LOUD and according to the servers it's even louder on weekends combined with piano bar; so good luck with conversations and trying to hear servers with masks on.
Great night celebrating our Anniversary! Steak had great flavor!
Our server Travis took great care of us. Delicious Wedge Salad.
This is was our first time dining at the Palm, and it was amazing. Our waiter Corey went above and beyond to help make our experience great! We’ll definitely be back!
Usually very good but with the closing of this location the service and everything seemed off. Hopefully better when they get to the new location.
My husband and I enjoyed a date night here on a Sunday evening for Houston Restaurant Weeks. The restaurant was very quiet, and few patrons, so everyone was definitely socially distanced. They also offered outdoor seating, but it was a bit warm out. The manager was finishing up an evening service meeting when we walked in. He checked our reservations and had us seated in a cozy booth quickly. The lighting is dim, but not too dark. Our server greeted us speedily, and brought us menus. After bringing us water, I inquired about the RW menu, he quickly retrieved two for my husband and I. They had a decent wine by the glass list, offering different size pours. I did have the one rose on the list with my main meal, and I have had better, but it was decent. They also offered a neat selection of cocktails. I started the evening with the Italian 75-a light, refreshing summer cocktail, and my husband got their best old-fashioned. He enjoyed it very much. Our server Richard was patient with us, as my husband and I just wanted to visit for a bit. He came quickly when we were ready to order but never hovered. I decided on the lobster bisque as a first, the broiled salmon as my main, and mezzanote cake for dessert. The timing of all the courses was perfect, the food always hot, and the presentation of the bisque was beautiful! The taste was even better. The creamy broth had a hint of heat, and it melded beautifully with the light lobster shreds. My broiled salmon was an 8oz cut, which was amazingly cooked, and I definitely felt I got our money’s worth. My husband and I were so full, that we decided to take our dessert to go, which is where the one misstep occurred. My husband had requested the key lime pie, but we made it home with cheesecake somehow instead. He was disappointed. My mezzanote cake was decadent, moist, and I was in chocolate heaven.
Food and portions were enough to feed my 5 month old baby
Been here many times but this was the first since Landry's bought them out. The wait staff was very good and in keeping with old times. The ambience was unchanged if you like that sort of thing. However, the food quality took a big dip. Tough, tasteless shrimp (likely frozen) and the same with their prime rib. Given the price point it was overall a disappointment.
