For those who love their afternoon teas fresh, fragrant and steeped in history, Palm Court at The Drake Hotel serving tea for over a century. Even the Queen and Princess Diana have made their royal visits here. Your afternoon tea begins with Palais de Thes menu, which features 15 tea blends including classic selections like the English Breakfast to modern yet delightful twists like the Mélange du Cap.
Tea is served in individual tea pots accompanied by the traditional three tiered tea tray filled with an arrangement of gourmet finger sandwiches and scones; and dainty petit fours with complements of preserves, lemon curd and English double Devon cream.
And let’s not forget about our little tea. The Prince & Princess Afternoon tea service, suitable for children between 3 and 12 years of age is available throughout the duration of afternoon tea service.
Reservations are heavily encouraged.

For those who love their afternoon teas fresh and steeped in history, Palm Court at The Drake Hotel serving tea for nearly a century is the quintessential Magnificent Mile afternoon tea experience. Even the Queen and Princess Diana have made their visits here. Your afternoon tea begins with a peruse of the Palais de Thes menu, which features 15 tea blends. Tea is served in individual tea pots accompanied by three tiered tea tray filled with an arrangement of gourmet finger sandwiches; delicious breads and scones; and dainty petit fours with accoutrement. The Prince & Princess Afternoon tea service, suitable for children between 3 and 12 years of age. Reservations are heavily encouraged. Full tea service seating duration is 90 minutes max.

Once in a lifetime experience. Divide great. Food ok.A little uneven. Cucumber sandwiches tasted old. Otherwise sandwiches were great. Like that you can ask for as many of anything you want. Also take home leftovers!!

The service was amazing. My sister and I were treated like royalty and our waiter was very attentive despite all of the tables being full. The ambiance is lovely especially with the harpist as we came on a Sunday. Most of the food was very good. We had a few items that weren’t as good as everything else but also we couldn’t finish all of the food we got! This is a great place to come for a special occasion or just to feel fancy!

Beautiful area. Fantastic service. Our high yea experience was an elegant and a special experience. It was the only phenomenal part about our stay at The Drake. Our room had no hot water, a broken window and a hole in the wall. We asked repeatedly to move but had no success. But the Palm Court was very special.

The beautiful Palm Court was a perfect setting for an afternoon tea. The food was delicious and the tea was wonderful. I highly recommend this experience.

Excellent service and beautiful ambience, tea and food are delicious- however the price is extremely high (over $500 for 4 adults and two kids) for what is essentially tea and scones/sweets/sandwiches. Good for a very special occasion.
