We’ve been to the palm well over two dozen times. This really is the last time we will be there. Yikes. Ordered martini’s with olives. We got no olives. A manhattan made with an olive vs cherry. Ordered carpaccio. Got something else delivered. Calamari was cold and like rubber. Overall service was so bad we legit got up and left. It was terrible. We’ve never done that as a family ever.

My family and I had dinner here on a Sunday afternoon. The first waiter we had seemed a little distracted and the service was slow, it took a while for them to bring my husband a set of silverware, and to get the drink menu we requested multiple times. The first waiter must have gone on break or went home because then we had a second waiter. He was much better and way more attentive to our table. Besides this the food was excellent. It was a little noisy but we were in the bar area. Overall we enjoyed our experience at the Palm and may give it another try just maybe not sitting at the bar.

We celebrated our 9-year anniversary at the Palm and they made us feel so special. They decorated the table with “Happy Anniversary” confetti and signed a card for us. They also decorated the complimentary dessert to read happy 9th anniversary with our name. The food was amazing- we started with the lobster ravioli and meat ball and then had the chicken parmigiana and bone-in ribeye along with asparagus and au gratin potatoes. The drinks were delicious as well, especially the lemon drop martini. Great service and a nice ambiance completed our special day. We will definitely visit the Palm again.

Excellent meal and the wait service were excellent. The restaurant setting is nice, but is basically all interior so no good views of the city or even outside. The meal was excellent and I highly recommend the hashbrowns which is one of their signature dishes. Compared to other high end restaurants I have been at, there were few choices of signature dishes for The Palm. But excellent food and service overall.

We go to the Palm Chicago every year for a birthday celebration. Every year we normally have the jumbo Nova Scotia lobster’s as our main entrée. This year we changed things up a bit and found that it was a mistake and particularly unremarkable. Instead of two jumbo lobsters, my wife had the jumbo lobster and I opted for the lobster tail. The lobster tail was over cooked and dry especially when compared to my wife’s tail from her full lobster. The full jumbo lobster was Delicious as usual. We ordered two appetizers which included grilled octopus and a clams duo dish. We sent the grilled octopus back as it was fishy and tough like shoe leather. The clams were also underwhelming, and Instead of sending them back, we decided to eat some of them. We exchanged the octopus for fried calamari, which was exceedingly greasy. The wait staff was exceptional as usual and they were particularly giving when it came to my birthday including fresh fruit for dessert on the house. Overall, we had a nice time and every once in a while, the kitchen isn’t on point. We expect to do this again next year and hope for a better experience.

The only reason The Palm gets one star is for outstanding service. Food was dreadful. Little neck clams instead of cherrystones were so small, they slid off the clam fork! Fried onions on a wedge salad with barely any blue cheese! Caprese salad with unripe tomatoes -truly bizarre . Returned and credited, of course, but very disappointing. Filet was lovely and creamed spinach was wonderful! Clam linguini had too many hot chili flakes for a white sauce. Should be called The Bomb and not in a nice way!

As usual the service and food (mainly prime steaks) was up to the Palm's elevated standards. We were a party of eight and needed separate checks, which the server handled with aplomb (unlike many other restaurants serving large parties). The ambiance is typical of all Palm restaurants-rich in its New York Italian heritage. It is always a pleasure to dine at the Palm.

We celebrated my husband’s 40th birthday. I wanted to surprise him by adding 2 more to our reservation. They accommodated and even decorated the table for us. The wait staff was wonderful, always filling drinks, always asking how we were doing, if we needed anything. The food was excellent. Appetizers were delicious, a lot of options. With our entrees, the steaks were cooked exactly how we asked. The sides were large so we could share. We enjoyed our meal and our time there very much. We would for sure come back again.

Lets start off with they charge for refills via there small glass..Now lets get started on my experience. The service was good with no issues at all and the food wasn’t anything amazing. The price doesn’t reflect the average taste and the average restaurant inside of a hotel experience. I personally think this place is much to expensive for what you get and I feel like you can have a better experience & flavors elsewhere such as Gibson Italia or steak 48 which both are way better then this place in every way possible and these places wont be petty enough to charge you for a refill.

Was here last year and it was divine. Last nite - not so much. Waiter was very nice, but someone else brought out our steaks and said the sides were coming. Had to flag down our main waiter 5 - 10 min later and ask. He quickly appeared with one of the sides and when asked about the second one he had a bit of an edge when he said it was coming. It did arrive about 5 minutes later. The first side was cold and we were halfway through our steaks before either showed up. In fact, I was done with my steak. Bread was cold and stale. Had I not been entertaining a family friend I would have asked for a manager. Won't be back anytime soon - ver $300 for 2 and the steaks were fine - but not great. Service - poor. But yes, I still tipped over 20%.
