A lovely farm to table experience. If you are visiting Nashville it is will worth the drive.
On top of the favorite list. We love this place. Everything is so fresh and expertly prepared. Service was top notch and made sure our wine glasses were never empty.
We had the omelet, the farmers breakfast and the cinnamon bun.
Their eggs may be the best that I have ever had. The ham was salted to perfection and the cinnamon bun was to die for. Great place for a brunch with a date or family. Good service as well!
Highly recommend this place.
We went there on Valentine's day, and we were both underwhelmed. I am normally not critical, but it was a let down.
What a great find! Excellent food, great service. High quality without being overpriced or trendy.
Excellent specials, music, and atmosphere. Will definitely go back
Love the freshness of the food here, and its always very tasty.
One of the best dining experiences in Nashville for sure!
We forgot to ask for no hot sauce on the rabbit and they made us a brand new one when it was too spicy to eat. Outstanding service. The prices are high but the food was excellent.
Food was good. Items on the menu that we wanted weren't available. The service was very slow.
The food was great. There was wonderful band, playing folk music. We plan to go back for dinner soon. I'd recommend this restaurant to as many of my friends as possible.
Old School is the best!
The food was fresh and we enjoyed the cheese plate. The main courses were small and lacking of flavor
Great food. The pastry basket is a must. Full Farmer Breakfast was excellent!
Great food, small portions for the price, friendly staff...park in back and enter from the back
Food, as always, was good, but live bluegrass made the experience unpleasant. Not the music itself, which was really good. But the addition of music, and the resulting necessity for everyone at every table to talk loudly ,made it impossible to enjoy the quiet, unhurried experience of food and conversation. we have come to expect there. Just because we live in Music City doesn't mean we want a concert every time we go out to eat. I love music, but we come there to enjoy a great meal and conversation with friends. Plus, the music/dining combination was presented to us only when we arrived, no choice given. Not a surprise we appreciated.
LOVE this place! The best fried eggs ever. Especially good after an hour of goat yoga. Will definitely go back.
Great food and excellent service. Will go back again
Our group was seated in the bar area. Food was delicious--cheese board with beet jam (!), sweet potato salad, pork shank, pot roast, and trumpet mushroom stroganoff--all wonderful. And cake! We tried all three... Service impeccable. Live music was a nice surprise for us since we usually sit upstairs. Definitely try this option again. Definitely worth the trip out on a cold rainy night!
There is so much to love at the Old School Farm to Table... The atmosphere, garden landscape, location, and historical value is absolutely delightful and so easy to appreciate. The shear tastiness and freshness of the dishes are beyond description. You just have to visit and dine there for a grand eating experience. I also love the entertainment options the Old School sponsors often. Especially fond of "Sunday Supper" --- a dining experience you'll be a long time forgetting...
The omelette was filled with so stringy root like filling that looked like carrot or other root vegetable roots. Very unappetizing to look at and nothing appealing about the flavor. The server was very friendly and attentive. Coffee great as usual.
Catcher in the rye cocktail was delicious! I ordered the pork shank and it literally fell off the bone. We also had assorted cheeses to start out with and they were very creamy and flavorful. Definitely will be coming back.
New winter menu is on point. Sweet potato salad and pot pie are unbelievably amazing.
Just disappointed with the weird brunch menu. The music was nice but so loud it made conversation difficult.
We came for New Years Brunch and had a wonderful medley of fresh baked goods, cheeses, and deliciously prepared vegetable dishes. Great cocktail options as well.
Some great dishes and some average dishes. We were a party of 8. We ordered several of the sweets for appetizers but instead of suggesting how many we would need the server just brought one of each - it would have been helpful if she had better informed us. One dish was exceptional - the Shepards pie dish. the rest were pretty average. Good Bloody Mary's and other interesting cocktail. It is about 20 minutes outside of downtown - rural country setting. I think the best season would be summer and fall as they have their own garden - which was bare now (December/Jan). I can't say the reception was exceptionally warm - more perfunctory, although our server was very friendly, but in general the VIBE was not that welcoming, which was disappointing after reading the marketing materials online.
The sweet potatoe dish was outstanding. The cocktails had too much bitters. I drank the catcher in the rye but could not finish the Aslan. The cocktails need work. Had the porkchop in the past and it was amazing. I tried the porkchop again on this visit and it was salty. The honey pie was not so good. Maybe I chose a bad night because my past experience has been wonderful. Will give them another try in the future.
Outstanding food and a beautiful location. Great for a date night.
Amazing every single visit!!!
We had a lovely evening listening to The Farmer and Adele for Christmas. We really enjoy Old School Farm and are so happy they have vegetarian options. Our only complaint is that the food is quite salty, which detracts from the flavors and leaves us with salt bloat for a day or so afterwards. I wish they’d hold off on over salting and allow the true flavors of the foods to come through. Otherwise we really enjoy everything about this place.
Fresh creative real food. Never disappointed with changing menu and recommend you try it. Knowledgeable serve staff and creative drinks from the bar (non-alcohol).
It is fun to bring visitors to Nashville to see what farm to table really means.
The gourmet meals were delectable. Dining in the auditorium where we enjoyed live music was delightful. It was rather loud especially near the bar where we would be shocked if any stemwear survived.
The space and ambiance is perfect, but the food and prices weren’t too impressive for anyone in our party of 10. Good service and a really nice place.
Lovely experience! So pleased that Sunday suppers have been added. Cannot wait to return.
Fantastic Restaurant. Little bit of a drive but Worth It! Food is amazing. Very gifted chef.
We went to their first Sunday Supper and it was excellent! It's a prix fixe menu with a choice of either 2 or 3 courses featuring one of the local farms. We'll be back!
We will be back for sure. The music was wonderful and a surprise. Great brunch.
This was my second visit to Old School and it was simply lovely and the food was wonderful and flavorful!
The service and food are worth the extra five minute drive to this farm restaurant - do something different and try Old School Farm!
Most Nashvillians don't realize how close this place is, the address is so misleading. From 12 South, Goodlettsville, Franklin and many other locations it's a 20 minute drive. The address kept us away until the last few months and we've been back four times since. Guess we are making up for lost time. There's really nothing we don't like about the School House. The food is wonderful, the staff top notch, the location is perfect and the their mission makes me happy. So next time you want a great meal, hop in your car and head to Briley Parkway, it's just over a mile off of the Ashland City exit. You will be glad!
