The food was creative and delicious. Our server was over the top friendly and knowledgeable of the menu, but mid-way through the meal he must have gotten busy with other tables as we became accustomed to refilling our own wine glasses and requesting necessary service from other waitstaff. I love the idea that everything served is "Farm to Table", is seasonal and raised or produced within a 20 mile radius, but would have enjoyed a side dish of a vegetable (or two) even if that meant a greenhouse product (saluted spinach? winter squash?) All in all very good and we will return. I understand their Sunday Brunch is spectacular and look forward to giving it a try!

I’m fairly familiar with the area being a native of Nashville but this little gem in what I think is the old wade elementary school was awesome. My wife and I went for date night and thoroughly enjoyed the hummus as an appetizer, I had a chicken dish (I never order chicken but it looked so good being delivered to other patrons I had to try it) and my wife had the trout ravioli which was also amazing (she was gracious enough to share).
Check it out. It’s all farm to table so the menu changes frequently.

If you are in the Nashville area, you must stop at The Old School Farm to Table restaurant.
It was wonderful food, the service was excellent and the staff were friendly. It was a great experience. Stop here and support this establishment that is trying to promote locally sourced food and support their growers!

We were set in the bar room, there was music playing and it was a great atmosphere. We ordered the cheese plate, chicken pate, and farm sausage it was all incredible. The service was amazing, many different people checking on to make sure everything was good.
Definitely will be back.

We were in the room with the stage and a great duo played the entire time. The burger was the best we had ever had and the lamb shank was delicious. We very much enjoy the whole experience of dining at The Old School.

The food is amazing, the atmosphere is great, service was wonderful. I love how they restored this old school and made it into a beautiful restaurant and venue. Shenanigoats yoga in the barn was so fun! My husband and I have been twice and we will definitely be back again.

This was the best meal we ate in Nashville the entire weekend. Great service, friendly staff. All food is sourced within 20 miles from local farms. Cozy, farmhouse decor.

The food was good, but not for the price. The cheese board was meh (asiago, goat cheese, and farmer's cheese [which was lacking in taste]), though the garlic jam was spot on. The rabbit was good, but not fantastic. The Navajo Nashville Tacos were pretty good, but I wasn't expecting the dough to be so thick. Beer can chicken- good, but rather large (half a chicken). The bangers and mash were also pretty good, but the mash was a little liquidy. Two in our party had the burgers, and though I didn't try those, they seemed to be fine. The side of carrots was great- they were cooked to a good consistency and came with sweet clusters of... sesame? I wasn't super hot on the combination, though.

Food - Excellant
Service- ok - waitress left a dessert menu and returned with the check. Never got a chance to order dessert.
Bar drinks - terrible - ordered Moscow Mule. Waitress said that the drink will take a while. Waitress said they had to go into the basement to get the ginger beer. Ordered a bourbon and got a maybe 1 oz pour. Ordered a wine by the glass - worse pour and finally had to complained to the manager. He appologized and returned with a pour after dinner almost finished.
This is the first time I have ever written a review but felt the bar needs improving. Food was fantastic but the bar brings the dining experience down. Will order either beer or wine by the bottle if I go back.

The food is delicious here. We enjoyed lamb, which was so tender, and the squash tortellini. Both were cooked perfectly with a nice twist on taste to make the food special. Our table felt romantic, and we enjoyed each other's company! Great place for a holiday like valentines or everyday.

The food was delicious and the service was nice and friendly. Very cool dining room - relaxed and casual but attractively decorated. The only thing to watch out for is that it’s a little hard to find and the signage on the street isn’t great.

This one of the best meals I have ever eaten and I've eaten at great restaurants in major cities around the world. It's the kind of good where you have a hard time talking about anything else besides how good the food is. You want to eat at The Old School.

Our Sunday brunch was a mixed bag. we were seated in the music room since other room was closed. We ordered beignets, root salad and Farmhouse items. the couple next to us had ordered root salad and they got their salalds and my Farmhouse. They sent back the Farmhouse and got right item. A few minutes later the root salad and a now recycled Farmhouse was delivered. Fortunately the eggs were still warm to hot. My major complaint was with the bacon--it seemed the bacon had been passed through heat but not fully cooked. Also our beignets were sent out after we pointed out they were missing.

Off the beaten path, outside of Nashville. GPS didn’t give good directions. Roads were icy & not salted, so it was difficult to get to. Not kid friendly (which was ok, my kids were fine and are used to traveling). Nice presentation. Cool atmosphere. The cheese grits were AMAZING!!! Great outdoor event facility. Our server was super sweet, but the service was super slow. If looking for a nice drive outside of town, try it out. Probably wouldn’t drive back out there, but it was nice to try once!
