Lovely experience! So pleased that Sunday suppers have been added. Cannot wait to return.
Fantastic Restaurant. Little bit of a drive but Worth It! Food is amazing. Very gifted chef.
We went to their first Sunday Supper and it was excellent! It's a prix fixe menu with a choice of either 2 or 3 courses featuring one of the local farms. We'll be back!
We will be back for sure. The music was wonderful and a surprise. Great brunch.
This was my second visit to Old School and it was simply lovely and the food was wonderful and flavorful!
The service and food are worth the extra five minute drive to this farm restaurant - do something different and try Old School Farm!
Most Nashvillians don't realize how close this place is, the address is so misleading. From 12 South, Goodlettsville, Franklin and many other locations it's a 20 minute drive. The address kept us away until the last few months and we've been back four times since. Guess we are making up for lost time. There's really nothing we don't like about the School House. The food is wonderful, the staff top notch, the location is perfect and the their mission makes me happy. So next time you want a great meal, hop in your car and head to Briley Parkway, it's just over a mile off of the Ashland City exit. You will be glad!
Great food, cool venue, fun atmosphere, nice to eat healthy, but can get very Loud!
Once again they delivered! If you want great food come to this place!!!! Words cant describe how awesome the chef is!!!
It was amazing!!! We got engaged :-)
Great food & great vibe!
We had a wonderful experience at The Old School. The cocktail options were fun and interesting. The food was truly delicious- one of my best meals in Nashville. Everything is so fresh, and delicious. The servers were great and offered great recommendations where we needed them. It was a cold night when we were there but they have a fun fire pit for s'mores. Beautiful outdoor seating for nicer days!
Loved the atmosphere , food, & we had Cloe taking care of us . She’s amazing! Already have told friends to go there and check you out.
Amazing Brunch! We lived the atmosphere and the lovely and delicious food
This place never fails to impress. It was the first day of the new fall menu and everyone in our group of seven raves about their dishes. The pumpkin gnocchi was incredible. Attentive service and an all around first class experience made venturing out on a cold rainy night well worth it
We had a wonderful brunch with my dad’s cousin. She and I shared several dishes (sweet potato fries were standout good!), my husband and son each had the burger and shared a tasty bite with me. My daughters loved their cinnamon rolls, eggs, and bacon. This is a great place to brunch with kids, especially during the jazz brunch on Sundays. The music was great and not too loud and overpowering. There is no kid’s menu but they will serve adult meals in smaller portions and offered sides of bacon and eggs.
Went there last week for brunch and back again, it was so good. The dishes are so creative and delicious. The ingredients fresh and the service impeccable on all levels. Just a cozy spot for great food with friends, going to have to make a trip for dinner one night soon!
This place is so charming! Love it for brunch or dinner. It's a very unique, cozy environment for Nashville. Off the beaten path.
My husband and I spent are anniversary here and it was super delicious! The atmosphere was lovely, the service and staff are fantastic.. The live music was delightful.. We will be returning soon. We highly recommend Old School, it's an A+ in our book :)
Recently went with group for brunch. Everyone enjoyed ambiance & live music and thought the food very tasty and well prepared. Wish they had Espresso/Americano on menu.
Planning on going back for dinner soon.
The food was so amazing and the drinks were excellent! The green Chile vodka was fantastic and the pastry chef is ON POINT!
Wonderful setting for our fifth anniversary dinner.
Food was good, but greasy. It was the pork belly hash. The Bloody Mary's were delicious.
Love the ambiance; the authentic, locally grown foods!! An excellent special evening out!!
The food was outstanding! Chef Kirstie Bidwell creates such tasty dishes. I've never been disappointed. The old auditorium where the bar is has such a great vibe and they had some great live jazz when I was there on a Friday night. The servers are very well informed and super helpful.
The brunch food was simply the best ever... different, tasty and so satisfying... The brunch music provided by PT Gazell was an awesome addition to Sunday brunch. Couldn't have been better... A great music/food combo... Thank you!
My mother and I visited The Old School for Sunday Brunch! We thoroughly enjoyed our time there! The food was exceptional! It was original and creative in the best way! The baked goods in the bakers basket were all very fresh and so delicious! The croissants were the best I've ever tasted and our server Nick was very personable and outgoing! I can't wait till I can visit again!
Our Sunday brunch was Amazing!!!!! The drive from the city was picturesque. The chef orchestrated an unique twist on many breakfast classics. THE BAKERS BASKET and PORK BELLY HASH was to die for. Not your mother’s hash ... more deconstructed with sweet potatoes, white potatoes, onions, apples YUM. The flavors were delightful none over powering the next. The staff was extremely warm and welcoming. OH and there’s live music 🎶... the sound was at just the right level to allow table conversation without having to yell or repeat. Love love love.
Wonderful food and such a cool story behind the restaurant. Truly farm to table.
Old School Farm is such a treasure; I love to share it with out-of-town friends. I take pride in having this restaurant in our neighborhood. The food was lovely. Portions could be bigger for the cost of the meal.
25 min drive from Nashville. The maître d’ was not a good communicator. The images that are showing online not represent what half the restaurant looks like. We were the first ones into the restaurant after having reservations when they open and they sat us in the part of the restaurant that felt like the basement and not represented of what we saw online, when we approached the maître d’ he had is wait for 25 minutes before he said ...the room was now full and he could not accommodate the room to change.
The food wasn’t bad but it was not anything spectacular and for the price there are many organic places to eat closer to the city.
We went for brunch. Some of the entrees were spot on. The special was amazing. I had the aged ham with short bread, and it was good but seemed incomplete. Could have used a little salad or something else to balance the meal a bit.
Drove about 2 hours to get to this place.
Great looking building and ambience. Service was almost non-existant. We didn’t know who our server was. Nobody took our order for entrees, and we left after appetizers. Also ordered a cocktail which was never delivered to the table.
Host called my phone to apologize and offer a complementary dining experience. I appreciate that.
Because of the distance and poor experience we will not be returning
Excellent restaurant that grows much of the food they prepare and use local food sources.
They also sell their produce at Farmers' Markets. Our server Ashton was very friendly. We were at a small table by the bar which some people might not enjoy.
In an old school house surrounded by a garden where much of the food is grown. Everything was excellent and is one of our favorite Nashville restaurants. Menu changes regularly based on available fresh local ingredients. Great outdoor area for groups or just hanging out before / after eating when the weather cooperates.
A trip to Old School Farm to Table Restaurant is always a treat. It is a pleasant quick drive west of town. The restored school makes for great spaces for dining particularly the old gym/theater which serves as a stage for live background music for your meal. The food is fresh, creative and good, as are the cocktails. Service is smart, pleasant, and efficient. The mission of the whole facility makes for guilt free dining; be sure to ask about the history of the building and the restaurant.
This restaurant is fantastic. We ordered way too much food just because we wanted to taste the unique menu items. We were there for brunch, for our second visit. There is enough on each plate for at least two people. You must have the potatoes. The biscuits are also a must. The omelet was full of exciting, unique flavors. The ambiance is so unique. I wish it had not been raining because we would have enjoyed walking around the farm. On both of our visits we ate upstairs. We did not know there was a downstairs. We had occasion to go downstairs for a restroom and discoverda whole different atmosphere with a Bluegrass Band playing. We will be going back and maybe trying dinner next time.
Perfect as always! The food, the drink, the service is always top notch!
This place is such a gem! Super romantic and not far from the city. I think it would be a wonderful place for a decent sized group too. Food and service were wonderful. We will be going back!
This place is simply AWESOME. Great food, Great atmosphere!!!
