Our Sunday brunch was a mixed bag. we were seated in the music room since other room was closed. We ordered beignets, root salad and Farmhouse items. the couple next to us had ordered root salad and they got their salalds and my Farmhouse. They sent back the Farmhouse and got right item. A few minutes later the root salad and a now recycled Farmhouse was delivered. Fortunately the eggs were still warm to hot. My major complaint was with the bacon--it seemed the bacon had been passed through heat but not fully cooked. Also our beignets were sent out after we pointed out they were missing.

Off the beaten path, outside of Nashville. GPS didn’t give good directions. Roads were icy & not salted, so it was difficult to get to. Not kid friendly (which was ok, my kids were fine and are used to traveling). Nice presentation. Cool atmosphere. The cheese grits were AMAZING!!! Great outdoor event facility. Our server was super sweet, but the service was super slow. If looking for a nice drive outside of town, try it out. Probably wouldn’t drive back out there, but it was nice to try once!

Just love this place. We've been here twice, once for dinner and once for Sunday brunch. The food was amazing both times. You can just see and taste all the care that goes into the menu and preparation of the food. Everything is locally sourced (many ingredients literally grown on the premises) and you can taste the difference. At brunch, we ordered an assortment of breads and pastries--each one was a masterpiece, and warm cinnamon rolls in a cast-iron skillet that were fantastic. The eggs were so fresh and the house-made green tomato and pepper bloody marys were delicious. The atmosphere is terrific too--great natural light filtering into the dining room and it's somehow fancy enough to work for a special date night but rustic and casual enough to be super family-friendly, especially at brunch. Finally, the service is outstanding. The servers were knowledgable, friendly, and attentive. We will definitely make the drive to return!

On our first trip to Nashville we decided to venture off the beaten path and make the drive (only about 15 minutes) to this interesting and worthwhile restaurant. I love the concept of the converted schoolhouse, as well as the great feeling of knowing that our meal was actually supporting the job training programs run by the associated agency at the farm. Even our stoneware dishes were made in-house! Almost everything on the menu is locally sourced (of course the Parmesan is from Italy) and our waiter did a great job explaining the menu and the concept. We particularly enjoyed the meatloaf, the charcuterie board and the smoked trout risotto. We did not find the meal over-priced, as the portions were more substantial than expected. As a matter of fact, our dinner for 6, with cocktails, app, entrees, coffees and a dessert, only came to a little over $200. My only complaint is that the music is really too loud to allow for dinner-table conversation. The artists were very good and I would have enjoyed them more if we'd been sitting a little further away.

The dinner menu was not very good, we hear that the brunch is far better. Will go back to try the brunch.

It was the perfect place for Christmas Eve brunch! We look forward to coming back for dinner. We have been raving to all of our friends and colleagues about how wonderful everything was. Our server, Jessi was amazing! Love love loved the entire experience!

one of my absolute favorites in nashville. Small but thoughtful menu, excellent Bloody Marys, real sense of connection to the land. In a sensitively extorted old school house, surrounded by fields for organic produce. Friendly, idealistic staff.
