Built circa 1820 as a grist mill, The Old Mill Inn is a newly-renovated historic, waterfront, adults-only (18 years+) bar and restaurant on Mattituck Creek, located on the North Fork of Long Island. It serves classic American fare with a fresh local twist such as fish & chips, crispy squid, oysters, cheese burgers, and seasonal local vegetables by Executive Chef Kyle Bloomer.

The past and the present collide inside the historic bar room (serving classic cocktails, wine and beer-on-tap) where the mill's original gear shaft stands among the wooden ceiling beams signed by past patrons, dating back to the late 1800s. The new owner received the award for Historical Renovation of the Year from the Long Island Preservation Society in 2024.

The service was terrific. The music was loud and the acoustics weren’t helpful. The fish and chips were too heavily battered and the chips were lukewarm and tasteless. The smash burger was boring. The striped bass with curry was tasty, but needed something like rice for the sauce, rather than just the bok choy.

Just an all around fantastic culinary addition to the North Fork. We love everything about this place and are thrilled to have another "go to", place for nofo dinner. The noise level inside is a bit overwhelming...music and lots of loud chatter against mostly hard surfaces is hard on the vocal cords but...The Old Mull is WORTH IT, 10000%! *****To the staff! They are a real standout in an area where one is mostly getting served by clueless high-school and college kids, this staff is clearly from restaurant heaven! 😍😍😍😍😍😍

The location is awesome and the restoration is really great but the noise level is crazy loud. My wife and I could barely speak to each other. If I ever go back I will sit outside weather permitting. We ordered a KK’ s mixed greens salad and it was terrible the greens were very tough it was like eating weeds! The manager comped us on the salad. We both had fish and chips which were delicious. I would highly recommend that selection. Our server was Kim and she was outstanding and very attentive to our needs and concerns I would rate our experience as average at best.

I wanted to love it since the building and views are setting the stage for something great, but they are missing on the food entirely. We were not impressed with 3/4 appetizers we tasted. The ceviche was the only well balanced dish that arrived. The service and attentiveness was lacking as well. Hoping they’ll work out the kinks and we would only return if so.

First time at Old Mill. Service was very good, food was delicious but the dinner chicken portion was very small. Surprised me. More like an appetizer and I left hungry. Place is very pretty, wood booth seats could use some cushioning. Beautiful location and excellent view.
