Built circa 1820 as a grist mill, The Old Mill Inn is a newly-renovated historic, waterfront, adults-only (18 years+) bar and restaurant on Mattituck Creek, located on the North Fork of Long Island. It serves classic American fare with a fresh local twist such as fish & chips, crispy squid, oysters, cheese burgers, and seasonal local vegetables by Executive Chef Kyle Bloomer.

The past and the present collide inside the historic bar room (serving classic cocktails, wine and beer-on-tap) where the mill's original gear shaft stands among the wooden ceiling beams signed by past patrons, dating back to the late 1800s. The new owner received the award for Historical Renovation of the Year from the Long Island Preservation Society in 2024.

Very friendly service (Sean was great!) The food was delicious ( a bit pricey) , but delicious. Not really a local hangout as the bar is also pricy ( maybe happy hour / drink specials ? Overall, we truly enjoyed our anniversary dinner and hope to be back.

The Old Mill is a historic gem on the North Fork and is one of the most beautiful spots in the region. The new owner Anthony has done a fantastic job renovating the building and has put together a terrific menu. The food is locally sourced and delicious and the wine and beverage list is eclectic, creative and matches the cuisine perfectly. This place is a must visit!

We arrived 15 minutes early for our 5 PM dinner reservation. There was only 1 other couple seated at one of the 12-15 tables/booths. Why the hostess proceeded to seat us at a tiny high top in the bar area, literally 3 feet from the front door is beyond us. We requested a move to an actual dinner table away from the bar. The black garlic wings were tiny but delicious. We both ordered the gruyere burger with fries and that was delicious as well. Our server was attentive. We enjoyed the waterfront atmosphere and would definitely go back.

The Old Mill is so great! We have been 2x since opening night and am so happy it has reopened. This is a special place and we will return over and over.

This was one of the most enjoyable dining experiences I have had on the north fork in years. The new Old Mill is absolutely stunning. The renovation was completed with a clear appreciation for the local beauty and history. The physical space could not be more beautiful. I ordered oysters, squid and artichoke with a Caesar salad and everything was exception. The wine list is comprehensive and my selection delicious and fairly priced. The wait staff is attentive and professional. I am a fan! This is a restaurant that reflects the absolute beauty of the North Fork and delivers an exceptional meal.
