Outstanding service, food, and ambience everything was perfect from start to the last detail. lovely staff always with a smile on their face.
Great service the new menu is fresh and delicious and the atmosphere is just sooo elegant!
Always such a delight to dine here. Thank you to the staff for all your extra little touches to make it such a special evening.
Nous avons passé 2 très bonnes soirées dans ce restaurant ou le service et les plats sont de très grandes qualités
Great pretheater lunch close to the coliseum.
This was our first time at the Corinthia. I booked a table for 4 people on Christmas Day. The venue was beautiful and the staff friendly and efficient. The 'amuse bouche' and starters were delicious. The main courses however were very substandard, it seemed as they were prepared by someone else. I've had better at local gastro pubs! The vegetables looked as they had been reheated! We complained to the head waiter and got a desert wine as compensation. The table next to us were also very underwhelmed and complained too. We had half a bootle of lower priced wine and a cocktail each. The bill came to £298 each which I think is pretty pricey by most peoples standard. I've eaten this year at the Shard a few times and at the Ivy, I also ate at Cliveden where I believe the chef has come from. All were memorable and were less than half price. At these prices, I don't think that Xmas can be used as an excuse for offering substandard food. Shame.
We booked the Christmas Day Dinner for c.£250. The setting is lovely but the food was a let down. The turkey was completely dry and the staff seemed ambivalent when we highlighted it. We were given a free glass of dessert wine, but it doesn’t really make up for a dry turkey on Christmas Day given the price point.
Starters was good. Size was good, not too big for starters. Main course was not good. It was too much to eat and taste was not good. Plain. Food on plate does not look nice.
Service was friendly but slow. Food came before wine. Water has to ask. Dessert was good.
First time dining at the Northall, enjoyed the festive menu very much. Generous portions and the service was excellent. Our table was the last to leave and yet we felt very welcome till the last moment.
Excellent service in a beautiful dining room. We ate the Christmas menu which was very good.
From ambiance, service and excellent food, a wonderful evening, thank you!
Beautiful restaurant and lovely food. The service was very slow although the staff did make up for it by being so lovely. We waited 25 minutes before someone came to take our order and then the waiter told us to wait for the sommelier to order out wine but she never came. We ended up having to ask for her to come over. After that is was an enjoyable evening, the speed of service just let the experience down a bit.
Amazing food, atmosphere and service. We felt very well looked after and would definitely go back again.
Wanted to love Northall as have enjoyed Andre Garrett’s cooking at Cliveden, however experience was really disappointing. Went with friends for our pre Christmas treat dinner. Hotel too busy to sit in bar for drinks, ended up in the lounge with tea diners. Service bad throughout, in lounge, ante restaurant and in the restaurant where staff gathered in a corner to chat together. (Except notably lovely cloakroom guy!) Sommelier was very indifferent, we chose a wine which she had described only for her to say well we don’t have it. Chose the lamb en croute for two was told they didn’t have any, only had 4 which they sold at lunchtime. Food was really hit and miss. Husband said his lobster bisque and cod were good but a little mean on portion size. My beef was good, very unremarkable beetroot and burrito to start, totally unseasoned and tasteless. I returned dessert as the poached pear was horribly furry and mushy. Was replaced but waited too long to have coffee, no one asked us anyway. Service was slow and inattentive and it wasn’t that busy. Lovely dining room, had to change my seat from the too low, too deep banquette, needed a couple of cushions! Lovely wine but list is rather expensive. Didn’t have a second bottle because of unfriendly sommelier. Hate giving bad reviews, so wanted to love it, really doubtful we will go back and give it another chance for such high prices.
We are regular visitors to the Northall as we pass through London on our way to Gatwick airport and home. This time we had the 'Festive Menu' which was a veritable bargain as are most of the various set menus throughout the year. Great care and attention is paid to every detail of the preparation, presentation and serving of the food. Always a great experience.
Very poor food ! Use to always come here for Sunday brunch but haven’t been for a while and most definitely won’t be returning. Very greasy roast potatoes , very hard cauliflower cheese and strange vegetables. Meat wasn’t great . Waste of money . Really needs to improve
The food was exquisite, we could fault nothing. The service was second to none, nothing was too much. They made my husband feel really special for his 50th Birthday.
We had the festive menu which was great value for £47 including a glass of champagne.
The food and service were of the highest quality served in a wonderful room. Excellent and highly recommended
Food-good-all fish cooked perfectly.Service at table good and attentive oversight.Reception on arrival was dire (not the first time) surly and off hand who didn’t seem to understand that arrival is part of overall experience.needs a personnel change.
Convenient location. Good food and very attentive staff
Those who are interested to eat seasonal food in style, then this is a great place to dine.
Friendly and courteous service! Would recommend for a special occasion
Food was good apart from the roast potatoes which were a bit hard.
Service was great and glass of champagne with the dinner was fab
A fabulous venue for our annual small gathering to catch up at Christmas. Staff very attentive and as it was our seventh visit we had a ‘welcome back’ which was much appreciated.
Fantastic meal, great staff. Had a wonderful evening.
Fantastic Sunday lunch. Lovely restaurant and not too noisy.
Very nice food with great staff
We had Sunday lunch and the food was excellent, staff really friendly and couldn’t do enough to assist. The restaurant had a lovely ambience. Booked to go back already.
Amazing. Our night here was amazing. The food is delicious, the staff is just so friendly and professional! We are definitely coming back soon!
Fantastic birthday lunch for my friend, they made such an effort to make it a special lunch for her. Beautiful interiors, delicious food and fantastic friendly service. Will be going back.
We had to try and get attention on a no of occasions to get wine ordered - first time this has happened so probably due to them being busy
High level of skill with excellent results. However I felt menu choice was rather limited unless you went for the options for 3 diners. Wine list and other drinks eye-watering my expensive as you would expect in a luxury hotel
Fabulous food, attentive service and good value.
Very good service and food, in a really pleasant environment. Andre Garrett (ex-Cliveden) and his team do a great job in the kitchen, as do Daniele, James and their friendly, front of house team. The 'fixed price', pre-theatre menu provided a good choice but we were rather surprised by the near 50% price increase (to £47) for 3 courses & glass of champagne for the 'festive season' version, which is not reflected on the restaurant/hotel website. At the 'normal' price of £32, the menu offers exceptionally good value for theatre goers and early diners!
Great food but disappointed that the set lunch menu advertised on their website wasn't available. It was instead replaced by a festive lunch menu, which was around £15 more expensive and wasn't as nice —a full Turkey roast is quite heavy for a casual lunch in mid November!
We went for the set menu. The smoked trout for started was very tasty, the beef cheek was great and the chocolate dessert devine. Friendly arrhythmia was an added bonus.
Excellent pre-theatre menu with glass of champagne. Excellent service - there were no other diners for most of the time! Ambience in the hotel dining room was a bit lacking early evening. Good vibe in the hotel bar and so pretty with Christmas glitz.
Wonderful service from lovely staff. Good attention to detail and made to feel very welcome. Food served in abundance. Only downside was no doggy bag available which was a little disappointing as hate to waste food.
My guests absolutely loved it. Amazing experience and 1st class service. 5Stars!
