   Had I if known that they do not provide table service I would never of booked. Menu very limited and only good things on there were not available. Very disappointed. Not likely to return.

   I went with my friend who had only had lunch there before. I booked a table thinking it would upstairs in the new bistro. Apparently, this is only open Friday and Saturday evenings and it was a Thursday evening when we went. The staff apologised and showed us to a table downstairs. The food was lovely and the pub has a good atmosphere. The downside is that some of the furniture is a bit tired looking, tables are a bit rickety when you are eating. Other than that, we had a really nice evening.

   The service is professional and friendly. The staff are very helpful and are happy to discuss menu options. The food is excellent, plenty of choice and freshly prepared. The black pudding starter was beautiful, two of our party had the terrine and both thoroughly enjoyed it. Three is us had pizzas which were the best I've ever tasted. We have been before and have always enjoyed dishes from the A La Carte menu as well. I strongly recommend this venue.

   Good food, with nice atmosphere. We were a pre-booked group of 9 and the speed of service was excellent. The staff were all friendly and efficient and cared about the service offered. Good range of food including children's menu.

   Food wise, one of the best steaks in a long time. The service was mixed: despite booking and arriving on time we were left hanging around waiting for the table to be set up. The one clearly assigned to us in the nice ambiance of the bar was occupied by two people and the four of us assigned one round the back, under the stairs. That said, once seated the service was good and, along with excellent food, made up for the cool reception on arrival.

   Service was very poor unfortunately, pub was quiet for a Sunday afternoon but despite this service wasnt great at all. No menus at table, which despite waiting five minutes no one bothered to pro actively bring over...bill had to be asked for twice and even then it was a long wait to receive it, also felt like we were bothering the waitress when needing to order or ask for something. Burgers were very nice and presentation lovely. Being a resident of the area I won't be returning in a hurry and it's a shame because it's very convenient and has bags of potential. Summary = overpriced for sub standard service and clearly under staffed as soon as things started to get a little busier.

   My partner had steak frites he said it was the nicest he had tasted out of France, I had fish n chips was luvvly, wasn't offered a steak knife but thts by the by, wld recommend and wld go again, the downside there's not much Parkin n it was pourin down but not their fault, good service, nice food n reasonable

    Staff worked tirelessly and were friendly Staff told us 40mins for food and it arrived in about 10 min. Service was excellent...easy to book online....great vibrant ambience...good food...nice restaurant.....reccommend to everyone......
