The Mustang Ratings and Reviews
We booked this through open table but the restaurant did not inform us prior to arriving that we’d be forced to buy the set menu, which was pricey, plus we didn’t want desert, also it was obviously limited choice since it was set - not the menu presented when we booked - the food wasn’t that great either. It was ok but not for that price.
Love Mustang. The food is consistently great. We enjoyed the Pot stickers and brushette appetizer. I always get the Scallops, and the Halibut. Our guests enjoyed the Chicken and Filet Mignon. The Bar seating is quiet. Great for a friends gathering, date or special occasion. Mustang never disappoints! A Park City favorite tucked away on lower Main St.
Read the reviews and decided to try it out since we couldn’t get into the River Horse. It’s every bit as good and not as crowded. The food was excellent and prepared with an artistic flair. The halibut was incredible as well as the trout. Highly recommend the Mustang.
The Mustang was recommended to us and we were blown away. We started with a Duck Chili Relleno, which may be the best chili relleno either of us have ever had. They have a nice wine list, we ordered a Ponzi Pinot which complemented our meal perfectly. My wife had the Sea Scallops and I had the Sea Bass, we both loved our meals. We rarely have dessert, but we tried the soufflé and it was amazing. Michael our server did a great job and Dustin the owner stopped by a couple times to check in with us, which was a really nice touch. Clearly they care about their customer's experience.
Don't visit Park City without visiting this restaurant, you won't be disappointed.
I wasn't sure what to expect when I headed out for The Mustang. The reviews were good, but all left me wondering what the ambiance was like there. I was not disappointed.
The restaurant gives a feel of elegance immediately. Dark drapes, white linen table cloths, glimmering wine glasses dotting each table. There were vibrant paintings on the walls (of horses, of course!), and bright colors accenting the restaurant nicely. The lighting was wonderfully sufficient on each table, but left the overall restaurant somewhat dim and romantic.
The service was mostly what you'd expect from a fine dining experience. There were a couple of times I wished I would have seen our server sooner, but overall she was personable, helpful, attentive, friendly, and knowledgeable. We were VERY pleased! Thanks, Sharon!
The food...well, the food was perfection. We started with salads. I had the spinach and pear salad; it was good but NOTHING compared to my wife's Fried Goat Cheese Salad. That was outstanding. For our entree, we each had the filet. They were cooked PERFECTLY to our specification, and the flavor was delightful. They did not have horseradish to offer (a personal enjoyment of mine), but they were amazing nonetheless. Now, we have had fantastic steaks many places, but what we hadn't had were the potatoes that came with it. They were called sweet potatoes pave, and they were AMAZING! Thinly-sliced Yukon potatoes sandwiched between thinly sliced sweet potatoes, coated in a glaze and baked. Just incredible. The brussel sprouts were cooked to perfection, and the carrots were delicious.
We each had some fine cocktails and wine. Their prices are superb for restaurant wine and scotch. The cocktails were a touch small, but the other drinks were great.
We didn't indulge in dessert this time, but they had several that I'm sure would have been stupendous, had we tried them.
We highly recommend The Mustang to anyone thinking of a special night.
Great Resturant. Very accommodating with our seating. We had the duck chili appetizer and wedge salad that were both large enough to share and had wonderful flavors. For our mains the sea bass was delicious as was the Elk chop. Additions were also phenomenal. We ended with the chocolate soufflé. A memorable occasion.
We've been going to Mustang for years, and it never disappoints. The food and service are consistently excellent. Being at the bottom of Main St., it's not quite as "happening" as some other places, but we usually go with friends that we want to visit with, anyway.
