Our restaurant is located at the bottom of Victoria Street in the heart of Edinburgh's Old Town, just a few steps from the historic Royal Mile. While enjoying the best mussels, oysters and steaks that Scotland has to offer, you can catch a glimpse of Edinburgh Castle from our window.
Our menu features classic seafood and steak favourites with seasonal Scottish specialties: fresh oysters, kilo pots of steamed mussels, shellfish platters and delicious matured Scotch beef steaks. Food was nice, don’t think it was outstanding so probably won’t rush back. We were sat right by door and it was chilly I had to ask a few times to get door closed. We were the first sitting when it opened for dinner and the seats had crumbs on them from the lunch service. Didn’t really feel like the feels for the price charged for the food.

We had the most wonderful time at The Mussel and Steak Bar! Upon arrival the staff was so warm and welcoming they made us feel like we were regulars even though this was our first time. The food was amazing! The steak was cooked perfectly and tasted out of this world. The seafood was spot on and portions were generous. We would highly recommend dining here and look forward to coming back again.

A superb meal of Cullen Skink, the best I've had since moving to Edinburgh last summer, and delectable North Atlantic Pan-fried Prawns, with my companion enjoying the Mussel and Steak Bar Surf & Turf. We were both immensely satisfied and highly recommend Mussel & Steak Bar!
