   Fantastic restaurant ! Food was wonderful the waiter Austin was excellent!!! Would recommend to anyone visiting Newport RI!

   Our food was good, but sadly we couldn't enjoy it. Jodie S. ruined, my Mom's birthday lunch. This is Jodie's idea of service: -When asked to bring my Mom water without ice Jodie rolled her eyes. -Removed our plates without asking if we were done eating. -Sighing in annoyance every time we asked a question. -Rolled her eyes, again, when we asked for the dessert menu -While removing menus from the table almost hit my brother in the face with the stack. We come to the Mooring as a family very frequently, and have never experienced anything like it before. Today we paid to be mistreated without provocation. How disappointing! We will think twice before returning.

   We showed up 30 minutes early and got right in! Was seated in best possible table with awesome view and we were greeted with a ‘happy anniversary’ card signed by whole staff ( as all I put in reservation notes it was our anniversary) the waiter and food was amazing.

   The service was extraordinary, even though our waitress had four tables she made us feel we were the only. The seafood was excellent, as expected.

   Always a great time. It is a must in Newport. The oyster Rockefeller is always a must.

   Went to the Mooring for an anniversary dinner with my wife. When we sat down at our table, we were greeted with an anniversary card signed by the staff. Our anniversary wasn't acknowledged by our server, which would have been preferred and made our experience feel a bit more personal. Overall the staff were friendly and prompt though. We started by ordering a couple drinks, a Sangria and the Sip of Sunset. Both drinks seemed watered down. We followed up with oysters and clams as an appetizer which were good. For dinner we had the Bouillabaisse for two. We both thought it was pretty flavorless, nothing special. When we come back to Newport we'll pass on this place. Our expectations are a bit higher when you're paying a premium price. A bit disappointed because we really enjoy their sister restaurant Boat House in Tiverton.

    We had a great night. The biscuit was to die for and a must have! Would love to have that recipe! Server was so nice and enjoyed the entire evening!
