    Great location and excellent ambiance. Very busy for Mother’s Day which would have contributed to the slow service. Food was ok. The food can be a hit or miss when I go to the restaurant. I keep coming back because of its location.

    We had a fantastic experience at The Mooring! We arrived five minutes early and had told them ahead of time we were celebrating our first wedding anniversary. They had a card for us signed by the staff wishing us a lovely evening. We started with wine and tuna for an app. Very fresh and delicious! We ate the fish and chips and statler chicken. Both were delicious as well. The fish and chips was a large portion! Our server brought us key lime pie and flourless chocolate cake to top off the night as a surprise! She was friendly, sweet, and very attentive. We had a table overlooking the patio and the gorgeous sunset/dock. It was a very special evening overall. We hope to come back to celebrate our anniversary there next year as well.

    Excellent meal and drink menu. Lots of great gluten free choices if you need that. It was my wife's birthday and they signed a birthday card for her which was a nice touch.

    Good combination of upscale yet comfortable. Always busy and often a bit boisterous…in a good way (people are enjoying themselves). Very good bar staff and great menu choices (seafood, non-seafood).

    Fabulous meal! This is the 2nd time we’ve eaten here. Wanted to come back for a special occasion and it was an amazing meal! Service was spot on and you cannot beat the ambiance on that back deck. They had outdoor heaters which was perfect since it was a cold rainy day. I wish I lived closer to Newport so I could eat here more often!

    Best lobster rolls! Never rushed and second time we’ve had same waitress and she is excellent. Never had a bad experience here and we have been several times.

    Hard to believe that every time we go to the Mooring they make the experience so special and memorable. Jody was excellent theoughout the evening and the food was quite a treat.
