Our food was good but maybe wait a few months while they work out the kinks in service. We had a reservation but our waitress was still overwhelmed and inefficient. We did like the new decor and bright addition of lots of windows.

For a resort with such an outstanding reputation as the Boar's Head Inn, I was greatly disappointed in the level of service provided in the Mill Room. We waited more than ten minutes at our table after being seated before our server appeared. When I brought the delay to the attention of the hostess, I was told simply that they were busy. When the server appeared she brought the requested wine menu and promptly disappeared again. After an additional ten minutes, I made a second request to the hostess to have our server return at the earliest opportunity. She responded by pointing the waitress out on the opposite side of the dining room, informing me that "she [was] over there." The Inn is not shy in charging for a premium experience, however they certainly did not deliver. One's money would be better spent elsewhere.

Our meal and service was excellent. Being Charlottesville’s restaurant week, it was somewhat noisy, but to be expected. Will definitely dine here again. Renovations done on property as a whole are fantastic. Great place for a nice dinner and experience.

Post-renovation, the interior is beautiful! Food was outstanding - our party was unanimously pleased with the meal. They have also improved wheelchair access to the restaurant, which was a welcome sight. Would absolutely recommend - can't wait to go back!

Overall this was a good dining experience. I ordered an open face chicken sandwich and the chicken seemed to be overcooked, but the peanut soup, salad with blue cheese crumble viniagrette and local beer were delicious. One of my friends ordered lamb sliders and fries and said they were great. The service is above and beyond. I think I just ordered the wrong dish and would like to try something else on my next visit. For these reasons I gave four stars and would recommend The Mill Room.

The remodeled Mill Room is very bright and welcoming. The service was perfect. The only issue we had was a pesky fly that bothered us all through our meal.

We wanted to see what the newly renovated space and new chef are doing and were glad we did. We were impressed with the menu choices (which include several fish/seafood entrees), food preparation and presentation--high quality and elegantly plated. Tables at the large windows are well-spaced and the view of the lake on a beautiful summer evening was an added pleasure. Attentive service was another plus. We'll definitely go back.

First thing to all restaurants - KEEP YOUR WEB PAGE UP TO DATE. I re-checked the menu online the morning of our reservation, and when we got there it turned out they had changed out the menu three days earlier. The item I had my heart set on was no longer available. But we were staying onsite at the resort and I had planned dinner there all along. The food was okay. Tasty, but too many flavors on one plate contradicted each other. Menu needs to be simpler. The prices weren't bad, but for just okay, maybe a bit on the high side. The portions were fine. However, the service was excellent. Top level staff.
