We are situated in Ivory House is a statutorily listed Grade 2 building, brick built over 5 storeys with slated roofs with an arched ground floor supported on cast iron beams and columns. Our food is simply great sustainable sourced seafood cooked well from the British Isles.
We aim to talk to the skipper of the boats directly to encourage the freshest product straight from boat to plate in as minimal hours as possible.
Our cocktail list is inventive, creative with great twists on classic cocktails.

    Fabulous pear and ginger sour cocktail to start. Food was delicious though for me could have been slightly hotter. Blue cheese ice cream a surprising hit!

    The food was great, although we had to wait a while for the food, but it was worth the wait. The staff were very attentive and friendly. Considering the location of the resturant and the quality of the food, the prices were very good.

    I always enjoy my experience at the restaurant. Food is outstanding, delicious and interesting. Atmosphere is vey welcoming and inviting. Very good place for a date, business lunch or dinner with friends.

    Excellent meal - service very good and the fresh fish was fantastic. We had langoustines to start which were large, juicy and succulent. This was followed by Red Mullet which was meaty and tasty, and a Whole Guilthead Bream which was cooked to perfection! The accompaniments did not overpower the delicate flavour of the fish. Only comment was that the tables for two were very close together as well as being quite small for the dishes, wine glasses etc., although the tables for four seemed to have more space. Servers were most attentive and helpful with suggestions; we hope to return, especially as it is nice to try different types of fresh fish. Thank you.

    The food was innovative and delicious. The host graciously seated us when we arrived way early. The waitress was pleasant but seemed like she was unsure of herself, probably one of her first weekend shifts. I ordered two different wines by the glass and the red was too tannic but the white was delicious. I will make it a point to return here whenever I visit London.

    Fabulous food and surprisingly quiet for a Friday night - perfect for a table of sharing small plates with 5 friends. Reasonably priced wine list too. It was my second visit and I will be back!

    Very disappointed. Had to wait for ages for the main (waiter asked what I want for dessert thinking I had my main already) and then got very dry octopus. Restaurant gave me 10% on the octopus off (£3.10) - so I paid £128 instead of £131. Really bad. Won't go again.

    Location location location... The Melusine is the perfect blend of a small village atmosphere in an iconic central London venue. It's a find when you are torn between telling your friends and keeping it all to yourself. Superb seafood prepared with care from fresh, authentic ingredients. Served with the attention to make you feel truly spoiled. Quality. Presentation. And flavour! Lovely evening out!

    Loved the menu and the dishes we chose - chalk stream trout sashimi, plaice and octopus were all cooked beautifully. The wine list was interesting and relatively unknown to us. We took guidance on our choice and thoroughly enjoyed the Viognier that was recommended.

    Drinks didn’t arrive until chased. The staff have kindly swapped the table booked inside for the outside one but failed to mentioned that the outside seating had to be vacated in less than an hour and the food ordered took half an hour, so it felt rushed. We were sat there with no drink or food for a long while, had to have our cocktails with the main meal and then had to leave.

    This was approximately our 8th visit since lock down, and as usual, it was a wonderful meal with great service, and where we could hear each other speak. Lovely that it looks over St Catherine's dock too.

    Food was okay but the service was very bad. Staffs were unprofessional. The reception staffs were judgmental and racist, first we walked in and the staff said no table was open they can’t give us a table except for the bar. After checking online, we found multiple tables open and found one with in 10minutes. When we went in again and told the receptionist, he acted nothing happened and gave us a table. There were multiple tables open at that time, we were there about an hour and half and there was no reservations for those tables.

    AS always a brilliant evening. The fish is amazingly fresh, tasty and imaginative recipes to whet the appetite. All the team are so friendly and welcoming and what a great location at St Katherine's Dock.

    4-day trip to London and we even went twice to The Melusine: The first time (passing by by accident) we were "invited" by the look of the dishes on the tables and the small menue, sounding like fresh meals. With little hunger only, we only had the excellent starters and some dessert. Two evenings later we reserved for our anniversary and had the "full package". Great food, combined with excellent & friendly service!

    Very interesting and novel dishes available. We sat outside as weather was just about right. If you had to sit inside it might be a little on the cramped side. Australian waiter very helpful and attentive.
