The Melting Pot Tallahassee has a bit of a reputation for being one of the better places in Tallahassee for gluten-free food. My spouse and I went there for an early anniversary before Oktoberfest kicks in truly in force (and everything has gluten in it). When I made my reservation, I included a note about gluten-free allergy. I told the host, who said it wasn't necessary and the server would get the ticket. We told the server anyway, to be safe. She seemed to understand. The cheese course seemed okay. When we got the entree, though, the raviolis were doubled up instead of the vegetables, and she played dumb like that made sense for gluten-free. The entrees had to be remade while the cooking liquid boiled away and reduced... and I was left wondering if the "gluten-free" bread I was served for my appetizer was actually the gluten-free version. We also received the teriyaki sauce, which contains gluten. Needless to say, I didn't eat the brownies in the desert and just stuck to the fruit. I tried to find a manager, but they were nowhere to be located... unless they were the gentleman alone at the 6-top being taken of by our server. Even if it had been the manager or even the owner himself, I wouldn't have been able to stay and talk: I was too busy trying not to curl up and pray that I wasn't going to embarrass myself with the stomach pains I was being put through. Tallahassee celiacs and gluten-intolerants, cross The Melting Pot off your list! It's not safe anymore!

This place was amazing me and my husband had a great time he took me for my 30 th birthday. It was very romantic we had candles and rose petals it was amazing food was awesome and the service was top notch.

We’ve had Race as our server twice now, and he is JUST WONDERFUL. He is warm, personable, and knowledgeable, and he always makes us feel special and taken care of. Melting Pot is my favorite restaurant and it’s so nice to be able to enjoy my favorite restaurant with such fantastic, impeccable service. Thank you, Race!
