We went her to have dinner before going to the Opera. We chose the 4-course menu for 2 ($120). We started with the Alpine Cheese fondue. It was a mix of cheeses with breads to dip in, and there was one cheese that did not mix well with the others, but it was still good. Then came a choice of salad, I had the house salad with ranch; very tasty. For the protein portion fondue, I chose the Pacific Rim one that came with 2 bite size portions of Ahi Tuna, 3 shrimp, 2 duck, and two other meats. It was about 1/2 way through this delightful course that I knew I was full, but of course, I still had dessert to come! We ordered the standard chocolate fondue but subbed dark chocolate in it based on our server Sam's (excellent) suggestion. May I say that it was so decadent and divine. It came with pieces of waffles, brownies, and other delightful things one shouldn't eat. It did have sliced bananas and strawberries to make it healthier...Again, I was full, but I ate most of that. We did share a bottle of wine ($48). Parking was slightly difficult as it was Friday evening. We got there at 6 pm and left because of our next event at 7:45. I was amazed it took that long, but the timing of the service was great. They know what they are doing. I'll be back.

We were sad when Melting Pot on 4th St. closed. This was our first experience with the new Melting Pot. It was great. Our server Jake was outstanding. He was very accommodating, had a great personality, was everything you could want in a server and more. When we come back we will definitely request him as our server we enjoyed him that much. The food was as expected - excellent. The atmosphere was lovely and not too loud - we could converse easily. Great job on the building rehab.

6 power surges before we were half through our main course. After the third power surge we asked to move but the manager decided it wasn't necessary, it's just a little flip of the breaker. We couldn't finish our main dish due to the pot losing the rolling heat. I'm sure the food would've been fine however the enjoyment of dinner was lost on the constant flagging down our server about our cooktop not working. After we moved seats and after asking for the 4th time, we asked for the manager. He had little to say, no sense of hospitality until pushed back and then he spoke up and said don't worry I'll take something off your bill. Sir, that is appreciated but too late. The entire experience was a disappointment. I hope the restaurant gets that area corrected so the next guests won't have the experience we did. The server was great and no fault to her.

Everything was great except the air did not seem to be working and it was SO hot in the building! And then adding the hot pots/cooking food was even hotter!

Alpine Cheese fondue was served barely warm. Although server turned up the heat at the table to get it warmed properly, that took a while. We should’ve asked in advance what the accompaniments were. French bread, pretzel bread, hard carrots, little pieces of broccoli, small tomatoes – there were other veg or fruits we’d have preferred with the cheese. Sous vie shrimp, teriyaki steak, and duck breast were tasty. Chocolate dessert was the best.

We go to the melting pot every year for our anniversary. You might call it a tradition anymore. This was the first time we had been to the St. Pete location which was very clean and nice. The service was amazing as always, and they even brought us out chocolate covered strawberries at the end. Great experience.

I have been to several melting pot locations in the Tampa Bay Area. This was by far the worst! Do not like the new location at all. The whole point for booking my birthday dinner with my husband was to enjoy a quiet romantic evening alone! I specifically requested a both a week ahead when making reservations, we were told no booths were available upon arriving. We were sat at the front of the restaurant close to the entrance which is entirely open with a walk up bar (there is no indication on the website that it’s set up like that) it was so noisy in there could not enjoy our meal or conversation. For the amount of money we spent I could’ve booked my birthday dinner anywhere else and enjoyed a quiet, romantic atmosphere. This defeats the whole purpose of going to the melting pot. Definitely will not be returning to this location again.
