The Melting Pot - Greenville Ratings and Reviews
Me and my girlfriend went for our anniversary, we were promptly greeted and shown our table. The seating arrangements are extremely nice, gives each table a sense of privacy and comfort. We had a trainee and a server take care of us, and both were great. The food was excellent and worth the price of the experience.
We heard so many great things about this restaurant. We were looking forward to cheese and chocolate fondue experience. We weren't prepared for the cooking style options, but the broth cooking option was fun and the waiter (shout out to Tony!) made the experience enjoyable. The next time, we'll venture further and try the canola oil option which will allow us to fry our foods. The garlic and wine seasoning added pop to our food. We will definitely purchase some on our next visit!
The ambiance of the restaurant was not appealing. I chose this location to treat my fiance to a date night. We were seated directly across from a table staring directly at them. The entrance to the kitchen was right there as well. Very noisy, not romantic. The waitress at the table next to us kept using the ledge to separate the tables for her tray, which was very bothersome and the black wall attached to the table was very dirty. The service was good as well as the food.
First time and not the last at The Melting Pot!!! Me and my boyfriend wanted to try something different for our anniversary and this was the best place we could’ve chosen. We chose the “Big Night Out” option and had a blast!!! The food was filling and absolutely delicious, with our amazing server Danny helping us/teaching us about the whole dining experience!! He was delightful & knowledgeable and really made that night awesome!! I literally don’t think we could’ve had a better time and will definitely be back!!!
Emory was our waitress, and she was spectacular! We had never been to The Melting Pot before, and wanted a special dinner to celebrate spring break. Emory described the experience to us, and how to order and really cleared things up. The food was outstanding, and the experience really unique. I would recommend The Melting Pot for a special occasion!
We went for Ladies Night Out, and it was a busy night. We were seated almost immediately, and the server came by within 5 minutes to get our drink order. It took close to 10 minutes to get our water and then close to 20 more minutes to get our other drinks. Another server kept trying to deliver the wrong kind of wine to the table. Eventually, we got our drinks. We sat down at 715, and our order was finally taken by 8pm. Anyway, it took 2 hours and 50 minutes for the 3 of us to finish everything. The cheese and the chocolate were really good. The spinach salad was not good, but it was recommended so we tried it. The main course was not great, but i think the ingredients were a little old- it's hard to prepare something good for so many people. I'd go again, but it won't be a monthly event. I will definitely order differently, too.
Great restaurant with great atmosphere. Great for the whole family, even though I would not take kids who can't sit still. There is not a whole lot for the kids to do and a lot of people go for dates and kind of ruins the ambiance. The staff was great and the food never disappoints.
Everything was great! Except... There was one waiter that found an apparent connection with the occupants of a table very near my table. He was very out spoken (loud), carrying on about video games. My wife and I wouldn't mind it, but he was very loud. We could barely hear the customer speaking, but could clearly hear him. It got to the point that I looked over at two other tables and we both made eye contact and we kind of shrugged our shoulders and raised our eye brows.
