Although the food was good, I was very disappointed that for Restaurant Week the menu only consisted of a 3 course dinner instead of the usual 4 course dinner. For an additional 6 dollars you could add the salad which put you back at the original 4 course dinner menu price. So there was no real bargain in Restaurant Week. We will probably look elsewhere next time.

My girlfriend became ill right before we received our first course. Completely unrelated to anything the melting pot did. We had already ordered everything and were using a Groupon. They were kind enough to give us the Groupon back and wouldn't charge us for the first course. The service was beyond good and when we went back the food was delicious. I highly recommend going to celebrate a special occasion.

Terrible service, but the food was good. Had to go up to the bar to get drinks because the waitress was no where to be found. Made reservations for 7:30 PM, and we did not start our dessert until 10:30 PM!!! TERRIBLE, TERRIBLE, TERRIBLE SERVICE!!!

Great food, it wa smile and my wife’s first time. We enjoyed the food and atmosphere. Definitely interesting choices and set up of how the food is served and cooked. Would recommend to other couples for special occasions. The romance package is great and the will switch things up if need be in the package if you don’t drink and add extra strawberries. I do appreciate that a lot cause some restaurants just say that is the way package comes. So thank you melting pot for a great anniversary dinner.

It took us over 3 hours to eat dinner. Our waiter complained about the hostess to us and kept disappearing. My friend ordered the wine flight and only received 3 of the 4 drinks, the waiter did take that off the check though. It seemed the staff was really struggling and not working well as a team. I put in the reservation that it was my birthday and they did not do anything special or mention it.

The only negative was; about a fourth into my wine my husband noticed lipstick on my glass, as I was not wearing any lipstick that night so it was not my lipstick (YUCK) When we showed our waitress she just poured the wine into a different glass instead of getting a new glass and fresh pour... $12 dollars wasted and who knows what germs :(

This was the first time we went here; thank goodness it was our anniversary. It's the peferct place to take someone you want to impress. Is it pricey? Yes; but in this case you DO get what you pay for. Yes, I would go again.

I love the interactive nature of the melting pot. The food was tasty and the server walked through how it all works and what is popular. Don't skip the chocolate - it's one of the best parts. We often go for salad, cheese, and chocolate because it is so much food, but we don't want to miss those courses

The waitress spilled her tray and dumped an assortment of sauces all over me, my face, in my eyes etc. While I understand this can happen occasionally, it was how it was handled that results in the negative review. I will never return based on that.

We had a 7:45pm reservation and it was not too busy for a Sunday evening. After 15 minutes past our reservation time we asked how much longer and were told that we were next and that we were just waiting for a table to be cleaned and then a few minutes later we were seated at a table that had been clean the whole time across from the bar, next to the high chairs and bus bins.
We then waited another 10 minutes for our server to show up to take our drink order.
The rest of the evening was strange as our server was very slow and very casual with us.
Everyone was very friendly but it just wasn't what we're used to from The Melting Pot.

Frankly, we both left incredibly disappointed. We have eaten here many times and felt that everything fell short of our expectations. We elected not to do a full entree, as we had early reservations before church. Our server seemed to "check out" once she found out that we wouldn't be doing the full four course experience. For the cheese course, aside from apple, 3 chunks of raw carrot, and a few shards of cauliflower, the dippers were entirely bread. Salads were much smaller than they previously have been and the house dressing was essentially non-existent. After finishing our salads, we waited more than 15 minutes for someone to take our desert order and then another 20 minutes for desert to arrive - a very watery chocolate that more closely resembled chocolate syrup and 1/2 a teaspoon of nuts. We know this restaurant is expensive and are fine with that, but what we received was absolutely not worth the $70 we paid. Service was mediocre. We were asked once if we wanted another drink from the bar and after declining, our water was never refilled. The entire experience just fell very short.

When we were seated we were informed the restaurant was not accepting Groupons on that Saturday night. There was no prior notice. We felt wronged, offended and even swindled. Because date nights don’t come that often for us, we sucked it up and paid full fare. If the management of the Melting Pot has an ounce of integrity or a hint of good customer service they will seek to contact me and make it right. I encourage everyone to not buy a Groupon from them. You don’t know whether they will honor it.

First time visiting and our server (Tatiana) was very patient and answered all of our questions and gave great advice. We had the loaded baked potato cheese fondue for an appetizer and it was excellent. We had beef, chicken and pork for the entree. Mine were all good, but my wife thought the filet mignon was a little chewy. We had the bananas foster for dessert (flambé!) and it was excellent. Overall, we enjoyed it very much. A little pricy to do often, but definitely would be fun occasionally.

Food was good over all but after we were sat our waitress didnt come to the table for a while. We actually had to get the attention of the lady who sat us and tell her that we had not been helped yet. After that we were helped by two different waitresses and the general manager. Got drinks on the house. Don't go if you don't have alot of time to spare.

My friend and I come here every year to celebrate our birthdays. We still love it but the amount of food we received has gone way down. Usually we are full when we leave, but not this time.
Also had a party next to us that was using filthy language loudly which was very annoying. We felt management could have done something about it.
Otherwise we really like the place.

Changed our reservations to the bar seating. I Took husband for his birthday. They did offer us a complimentary chocolate fondue. Which was very nice. Were greeted by the proprietor and talked to us extensively. Thought we were in for a treat. Well the server was horrible. It took forever for anything. Water clearing the table more sauces and veggies. It just was very very poor service. Not sure if we will ever go back because of that

Great experience! Mario was our server & he had the perfect mix of attentiveness, professionalism and a personable attitude. He gave us just the right amount of time in between courses, and was very timely with our wine flight pairings. Food was delicious! Perfect way to celebrate our anniversary! Highly recommend.

Was a good experience. Waitress was a bit unsure about some things we asked about. Sort of brought the food out a bit too quickly for a four course meal (table is only a certain size, needs to be a bit bigger so it doesn’t feel cramped and the hot plate/hot bowl should be more pushed center so both persons can easily access it and have grooves so the prongs can easily sit in the bowl and not lay over one another causing mayhem about getting them out. GF was reaching a bit, but didn’t like the big, bulky box at the bottom of the table to sit closer). Private area needs to be updated; painted, maybe a bit more romantic, etc..

Overall it was a good time. Friendly staff. Good atmosphere walking through.

ive been going here for well over 4 plus years. I love this restaurant and I stumbled upon it by searching for different food options. Tired of the typical steak and seafood restaurants and fast food places....bars get old too- even the more upscale downtown styles. This is a fondue styled restaurant, which is definitely different and worth at least the try to see if you would consider this as a normal options. I was going to the Greenville,sc location for a while 1 time every month. They offer 4 course options as far as meal options and also a 1 or 2 course option. So if you are just after a different style of chocolate and sweets this is great too. They do have some seasonal items so 4 times a year you can always expect a different menu option to add to the personal menu that you choose, so you get a taste of different seasons and accents. I love it.
PS- if you are looking for a places that "has the lights down low" this is it! They also takes special requests such as a bottle of wine for the table or rose petals and anniversary cards signed by the entire staff. Including the option of reserving a table that you just like better than the others!

The server verbally made us aware that she didn’t know much about menu saying that she was new. The meat was of high quality. Romantic for two, in my opinion the fondue concept works best this way, I couldn’t see myself enjoying it with more than one person as it is a very close and personal setting with lots of sharing. Food was excellent and menu was easy to navigate.

We have been visiting The Melting Pot in different cities all over the U.S. for a while, we normally just order cheese & chocolate, this unfortunately was the worst visit. Our waitress made the cheese too watery, and left the heat on too high when it was already done cooking. So because of that our cheese slid off of everything easily! When it came time for chocolate we ordered our usual “Pure Chocolate”, our waitress quickly dropped it off, stirred it, and left quickly. When we looked in the pot of chocolate it had peanut butter and peanuts in it. Far from what we ordered. I flagged down the waitress who seemed pretty annoyed to be called back to our table. When she got here we explained we ordered the “pure chocolate” she told us we ordered the “original chocolate” Not only am I disappointed in the chocolate now but am completely baffled that this waitress had the nerve to tell me that I ordered incorrectly when we get the same thing every time we go there!! What if one of us had a peanut allergy?! I really hope the next time we come there it is a better experience.
