It's always a great experience at The Manhattan for dinner, cocktails and live music. The chef is fabulous. They offer an extensive range of delicious and innovative tapas to choose from, including changing specials. There's such a variety that we never get bored with the tapas menu. They also have a great selection of their own creative cocktails, as well as a compact, high quality, good value wine list. The owners are very much hands on, as is Donny, the GM. At least one of them is present during every shift. They take a lot of pride in what they do. They make sure things run smoothly and make a point of checking in with guests to ensure everyone is happy. One thing we always enjoy is the live music in the bar room, in particular, jazz by the Schmidt Brothers. It's not so loud that you can't have a conversation, and not so crowded that you can't enjoy yourself. If you're looking for a more toned down evening, the main dining room may be a good choice because it's separated from the bar, but still allows you to hear the music.

First time trying the manhattan Spanish style tapas. We ordered the seafood casserole, the chicken spring rolls and grilled octopus. The casserole was in a creamy sauce that was tasty but the seafood a mix of crab and scallops tasted frozen and had a slight fishy smell. The chicken spring were served with cilantro aioli. In my book kind of bland. All were pleasantly decorated with herbs or flowers. But The inside consisted of chicken only. There was no flavor. Lastly was the grilled octopus. It was mixed with home fried potato’s. The octopus was cut into tiny pieces and took on the flavor of the home fries. All was served with fresh warm bread. Only disappoint on the tapas menu was the empanadas offered were with lamb. No beef or chicken. We also ordered from their extensive mocktail list. We chose the the spicy marg-tail. Very good. When then ordered 3 desserts. The blueberry cheesecake, the pineapple spinach cheesecake and the ice cream filled puff. The best was the spinach pineapple cake. It was moist and delicious the blueberry cheesecake was not a typical cheesecake. It was sour and wet texture. The ice puff was good but nothing I’d rave about. The coffee was delicious and the service was friendly. The owner came to the table several times to check and make conversation. He was very welcoming and humorous! Our bill was $98.00 without tip. Which I would consider average if the food was better. I wish them luck but I think they need to step up the quality of the food.

We celebrated my birthday, a few days late, but loved our meal! Thanks to our waiter, he was wonderful! The food, escargot, whipped feta with sauce and bread, swordfish and seafood fra diablo were all delicious! Ended our night with a beer and an espresso martini. Thank you for making my night wonderful!! We will be back!!!

The food was delicious! Highly recommend the shaved brussel sprout salad and there was a special grilled shrimp over chickpea purée tapa that was AMAZING! Our server Yuri was delightful and accommodating to meet our dietary restrictions and preferences. And she was the one who thankfully helped to narrow down a tapas decision I was making between two tapas by recommending the grilled shrimp over chickpea purée, so my tastebuds are forever indebted. Worth the trip to check this restaurant out!

We had an outstanding experience at The Manhattan. We were a party of five on a Tuesday evening which was very quiet with not a lot of patrons. I've been told it's very busy on the weekends, so we were happy to have a table immediately with our reservation. The food choices were so interesting and so different from the usual restaurant fare (that we are getting tired of.) We ordered several tapas and each ordered an entree as well. Our server, Julia, was so great! We all agreed we would return again just to see her! But we don't have to go just for that since everyone loved their food choices. The manager was very friendly and attentive as well. Also, the Pear Martini was excellent! My favorites of the night were the chicken spring rolls and the entree special of stuffed shrimp with lobster risotto. There is no doubt we'll be back!
