As soon as we walked into The Malthouse we were welcomed by a friendly gentleman who took us straight to our table. The vegetarian wellington was delicious and the trio of meats was very tasty. The service was excellent and the staff were friendly and attentive and nothing was too much trouble for them. We thoroughly enjoyed our time here.

We were a party of 10 people (7 adults and 3 children, celebrating grandparents' golden wedding anniversary. The meal for most of the group was very average. The 2 GF 'fish and chips' meals were disgraceful. The batter was excellent but contained the tiniest amount of fish possible. The manageress was called to the table and acknowledged this and offered an alternative meal. However, this would mean 2 people eating separately after the others had finished. I suggested that we did not pay for those 2 meals and it was agreed. Unfortunately this took the edge of the occasion.

Me and my partner have taken a liking to eating at the malt house recently and have also shared with friends and family who have also now started going, the food is beautiful with lovely staff..Iv not been able to fault anything at the malt house so far apart from yesterday, when we went for Sunday lunch. although the food was incredible as always, both me and my partner were abit let down with missing a few of the vegetables off our plates the roast carrots and parsnips which apparently on the menu came with the lunch, we didn’t get told by the waiting staff that they weren’t serving these. Again the food it’s self is amazing and because of this we didn’t say anything at the time, if we had been given the roasted vegetables as stated in the menu I think I would say this would of been the best Sunday lunch both me and my partner have had

Lovely meal with the family, everyone lovely their meals. Had starters and mains. Great selection. Great range of drinks too. Seating area was prefect. Only down side was that one member of the group was vegan and there was only one mains option - a vegan burger. The only starter they could have was olives, which I thought was a bit poor.

Nice family meal at the Malthouse, although service was a little slow, had to chase things we had asked for and the waitress split a drink on one of our party. I would go back, but maybe not when its so busy.

Wide choice of starters& mains. Roasted fig & goats cheese was inspired. Salmon beautifully cooked with couscous & asparagus & roasted tomatoes Delightful!
