   On arrival they only had a table booked for 4 even though I had booked it for 6 on the app. There was a good selection of food and was of good quality. The staff were friendly and helpful. However the meal should have come with parsnips and didn't and for desert we ordered the apple pie and custard but when it was brought to the table we had to ask for more custard as there was only a little in a bowl. Apart from the 2 minor issues it was a lovely meal

   I just want to mention that our booking, through yourselves, did NOT find its way to the Malt Shovel, fortunately they could accommodate us!

   I'd not been here for a few years and was pleasantly surprised to see it was even better than I remembered. Staff were friendly and efficient, even the trainee waitress. Foid choice and quality was excellent as was the ambience. Nice not to have to shout over excessively loud music. I'd thoroughly recommend this place for a night out.

   We were told there was a table on the system but then the pub phoned up to say that we couldn't have that booking. The booking was for Mothers Day so I was really worried and upset but then the Black Horse in Iver Heath came through for us and wow what a gorgeous dinner and great service.

   I have eaten at the Malt Shovel on numerous occasions and they never fail to have great staff, good food and a nice environment. They are a reliable eating place and I shall continue to eat there especially whenever I have guests

   Quiet for a Sunday but nice chilled atmosphere. Lovely waitress who made an extra effort for my nans birthday by adding some candles to her pudding and singing - she loved it! Have been to malt shovel before and food is always good, will be returning.

   There is very little good dining available in the Uxbridge area, the Malt Shovel is always delivering good food with excellent service in a very nice building and location,we eat there at least once a month

   We love this place, great value , great space - food is generally really good just a little inconsistent in portion size and finish at times

    Our first visit, as visiting our son at the university. We had Sunday lunch and thought it was very good value, they catered for one of the group who is coeliac without making a fuss. It would be nice to have the gluten free dishes marked as GF on the menu though, rather than having to look through a separate book to check the ingredients. We would return and would certainly recommend to others.
