   Be careful while reserving : after less than one hour during dinner we were told the floor was closing and moved in the pub downstairs in an awful table aside kitchen and loo . And even worse we were even told to be grateful staff was so kind to keep a table downstairs. The discount offered by the manager mitigated the disappointment. Any way severe decrease of overall quality in the place comparing the previous year. To avoid

   Had a great evening with friends. Good drinks & food choice. The vegetarian choices were very good

   This was a huge disappointment. It used to be, in my opinion, the best tapas restaurant in London. Great food, great portions, great value. Why would you want to change such a winning formula? There used to be theatre, watching the chefs preparing your food in the open kitchen. What you get now beggars belief. Instead of delicious tapas, there’s a beef burger, sausage and mash, fish and chips, lamb skewers. My wife chose the lamb skewers. This used to be a tapas dish. Now it’s a large plate!! The plate might be large , the food certainly is not. 3 very small lamb skewers, 3 cherry tomatoes sliced in two, two very small pitta breads that were hard as nails and cold, a tiny dish each of yogurt and chilli sauce, and for that you get charged £17.95, it was disgraceful. I chose the burger at £12.95, Wetherspoons do it better for half the price and you get a free drink. The waiter was honest in his response to our complaints and asked that we pass on our comments to the “concierge “. Well, he ignored us on the way in and though we stood in the doorway waiting to speak to him on the way out, he just carried on texting or surfing the internet on his smartphone, oblivious that we were there. If you are looking for great food, you most definitely will not find it here, avoid at all costs.

   GinTonica is in a lovely old building at the heart of Portobello Market, and it has one of the best gin lists I have ever seen, BUT in some ways it relies too much on being cool and having good location. The staff were all larking about, ignoring customers, slow service, we had to beg them for a 2nd drink. They should be all over it. So, all in all, I would come back and I would recommend, but I hope the service picks up soon (at these prices, it really should!)

    This is a really great place to go with friends or on date night. It is not too noisy and overall I felt it wasn't too expensive. I had a great night here!
