If you are attending the movie theater and eating the food then it is nice. If you were only at the outside restaurant, you could find a better place for your money
Despite the recent bad reviews I decided to try it out because of how pretty the space looks whenever I drive past it. Big mistake. There was only one server when we got there so we weren’t checked up on AT ALL during our meal. The food runner brought another table’s dishes to our table TWICE. And the food just wasn’t that great. The corn was so watery, half the bowl was basically liquid. The calamari was nothing special and the Caesar salad wasn’t tossed right and had no dressing on the top. The best thing I had was a mocktail. Do not come here to celebrate a special occasion. Our server was nice, he was just really busy and I’m sure overwhelmed.
We arrived early for our reservation & were seated immediately. Great service!
The waiter was friendly and cordial . His dining recommendations were awesome. My guest and I truly had a great experience 🙂
Everything was great!!
Daughters 18th birthday
Great food and service. Just a bit on the lonelier side. Took the kids, both kids and adult menu was great.
Portions are shareable.
Fish & chips was not the best but the Flatbread was better except short on topping. Wedge salad was the best deal of the night.
Wished I had taken a picture.
Due to pandemic restrictions, the menu was a bit limited, but overall things were very good.
There was a wedding going on wish I had been alerted. Service was not great. Food us pricey. Burger King impossible burger for $18
went to watch Sunday football. had a great time. Cant wait to go back
Had a wonderful time with friends. Safe social distancing in regards to other tables and customers. The servers were attentive and polite. First time here for dinner, will be back again.
Very average food.
Unfortunately, the menu has been significantly limited due to COVID. The service was outstanding, but the ambiance, space design, menu has been impacted. I am sure they will return to preCOVID excellence soon.
Awesome food, great deals for happy hour, and our server was hilarious. Will be returning.
Menu disappointing, used to be interesting and different, classier. Now basic pub food!
We had no service. And then it got dark out - and we had no way of seeing anything at our table.
They have drastically cut back their menu. Their drink selection remains very good but the food is more appetizers and sandwiches. The ambiance and service were very good as always.
Loved the food and our server with the DRAGON TATTOO. Jk...it was Gyarados but I couldn't pass up that opportunity. The only bad thing was completely uncontrollable by you guys(the frequent stops in conversation due to the planes!) I WILL be back.
Harrison’s was our server. Loved his knowledge of menu and adding egg with avacado to chicken sandwich was genius. Brussel sprouts rocked
We had a very nice dinner out at The Lot. The service was excellent and friendly. The food was good, as well. Lots of outdoor seating.
Food and service was excellent. Love the ambiance. We had a very helpful, friendly waiter.
Staff did not wear masks properly, did not follow other safety and cleaning protocols I have seen in other San Diego restaurants. I did not want to eat the food, because of the front of the house staffI’m poor safety management.
Food was delicious. Lucas was very attentive and gave great recommendations. Definitely be coming back!
Unfortunately, Open Table showed that The Lot was open and ready for reservations. I made a reservation for my friend and I, but when I arrived, it was very apparent that it was closed. One of the managers who was there was very apologetic and understanding of the inconvenience. He provided me with his business card and two movie tickets for my future use. It definitely sucked that it was closed, but the customer service was outstanding! Looking forward to coming back soon
Great service. Excellent food. Spacious outdoor dining.
Staff was very friendly and the food was delicious!
We waited 10 minutes for the host to greet us upon arrival. It also took over an hour to get our food after ordering.
Wait staff uninformed about Fathers Day offerings. All good was a nice kid and took good care of us.
Our server Alejandro was great and offered great suggestions.
Great experience all around
We had the Valentine’s Day special! It was so beautiful and the food was delicious! We will go again and we highly recommend for a special occasion or date!
The restaurant experience had much to desire. The food was decent but the price is too high. Convenience of being at the theatre is what makes this a good choice. I prefer the one in La Jolla. Better ambiance. The server was absent for a while, so don’t expect great service or maybe I just got a bad one. Also the greeting was horrible. I stood there next to three employees and no one greeted us, until I approached them.
I booked a table for the Super Bowl. I knew that The Lot was going to be playing the Super Bowl, but I wasn’t aware of any specific event they were doing. When we arrived, the host sat us at a table. He told us he was also a manager if we needed anything. His name was Ryan. We were told that they were doing some special drink and food specials and gave us a specific super bowl menu. He also informed us that they were doing a super bowl buffet. If we wanted to participate in this it would be $25 per person and gave us wrist bands.
Later when we got our bill they had charged us $50 per person and $35 for my child.
We called over the evening manager he told us that it was $50 per person for the buffet. He said the misunderstanding must have been that it was $25 for kids. (He charged us $35 for our kid) He said it was advertised “everywhere “ that is was $50
Per person for the buffet. This is not true at all. I did not see one single sign and when I called to confirm my reservation they never made mention of that charge. We never would have paid $50 per person for chicken wings and burgers. I just feel that the Managment did not communicate with one another on this.
The evening manager gave us some complimentary movie tickets to try to compensate for the miscommunication, but I feel like they should have honored the price we were told at the beginning.
Our server Treasure did an amazing job and this did not reflect on her at all.
We arrived on time for our reservation. We were told to seat ourselves. Service was slow which was surprising since there were very few customers. We were later contacted by OpenTable for not keeping our reservation...
The food was so-so and one of our meals was returned as undercooked. We will not be back.
The setting of the restaurant is beautiful. Unfortunately, we were disappointed in the menu items as well as the level of service. Service seem relatively slow for a restaurant that was not full. In addition, the menu choices were limited technically because it was brunch even though it was 12 o’clock on a Saturday morning. In addition, a number of the items listed on the menu on the Internet did not match the menu items at the restaurant.
We had a wonderful brunch before our movie. Our server was excellent and very polite. Food was great.
With much of our family and friends away for the holidays, we decided to see a movie and have dinner at The Lot on Christmas this year. The movie was fun and our early dinner afterwards was delightful! Our waiter let us chat over a leisurely meal and we thoroughly enjoyed every moment!
I would recommend the movie theater but not the brunch... We Will not do another holiday Christmas Day brunch the food was dry, cold & they didn’t fill up the empty food trays... they also had two sets of two tortilla dishes (two tooo many) one with red sauce one with green & then another set of two that were the same thing but hard thick strips of over cooked tortillas of who knows what could have brien a tooth on them.. these two dishes were repetitive very dry and tasteless... the meat was so dry as well! the desserts looked great when we walked in small custards pies cakes cookies etc...but after we ate our brunch there was only red velvet cake and very sweet baking soda tasting color sprinkled cookies! No one replenished the deserts our brunch was at 1:30pm and it was like we got the crumbs of what was left... we should of had the same desserts as everyone else who paid the same money...not worth the money at all very disappointed.
We were not aware that there would only be an expensive buffet option available. The restaurant is lovely and food good, but we were not looking for $35/person breakfast. Service was fine but waitstaff was sparse.
