The service is really bad. They have always been short staffed and it has only gotten worse.
Lovely server, happy hour VERY limited. But good food!
- Host not at post - had to search for someone to seat us for our reservation
- Took 15 mins for someone to take our drink order- the host!
- Placed dinner order at 7pm for party of 5. Didn’t receive one of our meals until we asked. Late Food arrived over cooked & inedible.
- Long story short - too expensive for the poor service & mediocre food.
I had an excellent mother day lunch there. The service and food was great.
They even gave me (the mom) a free desert and Mimosa.
The service is STILL sooooo slow- ugh. It took 2.5 hours for our party of 4 to get through dinner. 25 minutes before our drinks and appetizers were delivered. And the restaurant was only half full! Terrible.
Great food. Great ambiance. Our waitress was excellent. Drinks a little slow from the bar. After dinner went to movie at The Lot.
The salads and fruit was good but the hot food was't good at all. The fish was over cooked and don't have any flavor and also I don't like it when the Waitress charged 18% service charge on buffet style that we got our own food and she just bright few times coffee. This is not fear at all.
We had the best time. Our waiter was fabulous. He never rushed us, was very polite and attentive. The food was excellent. Every course was beautifully presented and tasted great.
The only slight drawback was our seating as we were near two doors and a wait staff station where a computer was. So it was a busy position to be at in the restaurant. That being said it surprisingly wasn’t too noisy.
We truly enjoyed our experience.
I didn’t get the clear idea of Valentine’s Day celebration. Since I was able to make a 2:30 table for reservations for 2 I was assuming I was going to be a part of Valentines celebration - not realizing the celebration was from 5-9 only
Allen was very apologetic and sat us at another section of the room. The food was delicious but it was a very small portion. We had to ask for the. Bread We were really hungry.
We were very disappointed but party my fault. I had tried to clarify when I made the on line reservations but was unable to get anyone on the phone. I tried quite a few times.
Allen was very gracious and gave us complimentary tickets to the movie. Ashley was absolutely wonderful. She just had a lot to handle from being bartender and waitress at the same time. Allen was also handling the people coming in plus helping organize the event. It seems they were basically the only 2 actually working. They deserve a lot of credit.
Decent evening. We’ve been before, but came tonight for a birthday. I noted it down on the reservation but they didn’t do anything extra to celebrate or acknowledge it. Was a bit disappointed. Food was great as usual (definitely recommend ahi nachos and truffle fries); service was acceptable but nothing special.
Great service and great food service was excellent
Perfect brunch place! Great ambiance, amazing food and the service was first class! Will definitely be coming back here!
The food was average and they served my glass of wine in a dirty glass.
The women’s bathroom had no soap to wash hands. Absolutely gross and unsanitary.
The Lot has went down and it’s very disappointing.
Had a bite to eat before the movie. Happy hour is best bet. got the burger and beer for $15 ...
Service is still slow, inaccurate and chaotic
Food and service — no complaints! Excellent! The couches were low so felt like a kid sitting across from my friend who sat in a regular chair. The piped in music could be turned down a notch or two.
Taco Tuesday is very loud so just be aware if you want to actually talk and hear your dining companions
Food not a great value for price. Table for two with one person sitting in booth seat and ther in chair was not convenient. The distance between us made it impossible to carry on conversation. Not to mention the loudness of the room.
It would be nice to have a sign pointing to the restaurant part (since one door opens to the theatre and the other door that we didn't come through opens to the restaurant) or have someone designated to guide you; we had to ask where to go for our reservations. The first waitress who seated us did not seem to be a "people person". Luckily, our actual waitress who came to our table a few minutes later was great! She gave a great recommendation on the brussel sprouts : ) Some said the food was bland; salad dressings and sauces. Unfortunately, no water refills were given but ice teas were refilled. There goes my "drought" logic for the waters not being refilled. The restaurant is a big open space with a lot of light coming through the floor-to-ceiling windows...so much that facing the windows made it hard to read the menu due to glare. Over all, we enjoyed our lunch and might come back again, not sure.
This is a good restaurant with potential to be great. On the positive side we were greeted warmly and seated promptly. The waiter was very friendly and helpful. The entrees were good (skirt steak and roasted salmon ). We also ordered ahi nachos to start and house salads.
The ahi nachos are a nice attempt to be creative. However the peppers were very hot and not a great addition to the concept. The house salads were strange- loaded with cucumbers and not much else. We called attention to the waiter. He apologized and said they would let the kitchen know. Also the entrees came out before the salads so we had to eat everything together.
For the price I’m hoping they get their act together. It’s a nice venue for dinner and a movie in the great theatre connected to the restaurant.
"I love the relaxed feel of this place – like a comfortable dining room in a friends home. I definitely would return to try more dishes. The burger was great. As we're the cocktails. Service was well-timed and friendly.
The truffle fries were amazing. While the portion was generous, the Caesar salad dressing had no flavor and we did not receive a refill on our water until the end of the meal.
The Lot is a beautiful venue. We made reservations 3 weeks prior, and days before when they called to confirm, I was informed that if we didn’t purchase the special event tickets, we would only be offered a limited menu. I was concerned being that I had out of town family, no chance at booking a new reservation, and worried that the limited options would not suite my family’s varied preferences. The woman confirming the reservation said she would speak to the chef and call me back.... nothing. I called back the next day, (side note, No one EVER answers the phone, I called 5 separate times.) they returned the call and relayed that the menu actually would stay the same. I was relieved. The atmosphere was great, our server was fantastic, BUT the food turned out to be disappointing.
Weeks ago, I made a reservation for Christmas dinner. And with other reservations with Open Table, received reminders to confirm. To our surprise and dismay, the restaurant was closed! The movie theater manager was present and apologized, but unless we wanted concession food we were out of luck. Open Table takes no responsibility for the error, and it appears The Lot does not either. Lesson learned....don't rely upon the information in Open Table!
The poke nachos were wonderful, and a good-sized portion, as well.
We decided to give The Lot a try for Christmas Day buffet. We had a horrible experience at the buffet and at the movies following our meal. They ran out of some foods before we got there and ended up having to apologize to buffet guests. Not sure how that happened since it was by reservations for buffet. It was very disappointing since we skipped out on cooking a nice meal at home so we could try the Christmas buffet. We looked forward to the Star Wars movie and snacks given the lousy lunch. Our drinks and snacks never arrived at our movie after 90 min so we had to leave the movie and find out what was going on. They didn’t know who took our order, what our order was, and were clueless even though we ordered at our seats before the movie began and they swiped our credit card. We were so disappointed!
Brunch for 2=$100. Only coffee's included for beverages. There are a ton of better brunch options for that kind of money
Had Christmas brunch there this year. The food in the buffet was very good but it seemed like I was always waiting for empty items usually main items on the buffet to be refilled. Even coffee was never full. Had to tell the employees that something was empty, and then had to wait for more to come out. I felt the management there is poorly prepared for the brunch, and for $40 per person which is a very fair price, I shouldn’t have to wait 10-15 minutes every time I needed to get a cup of coffee or another piece of prime rib.
For me, bar service and appetizers are the way to go. Dinner was exhausting. Our service was okay BUT the tables on either side were seriously neglected. I was so affected by their bad service it ruined our night out.
The music for taco Tuesday was absolutely way too loud. Couldn’t even talk to the people next to/in front of me.
Two simple lunches took over an hour to be served. Meals did not come out together. Restaurant was not busy, so no excuse. Food quality was below average. Prices are on high side
My waitress Kristan (spelling) had to take the order; check on the kitchen several times, she eventually had to go make my drink, And worked tirelessly as other people stood around.
Well, i had a reservation for 7 @ 4:45 pm and when i arrived on time, they had given our table to someone else. There was no table for us.
That's it. There is no more to say....or to evaluate.
I ate at the Lot in October and had a good meal. Sadly, this visit was horrible! No food for 45 minutes. orders were incorrect and had to be sent back twice. No refills on drinks. Other tables seemed to be receiving incorrect orders which needed to be replaced. Our waitress was horrible. The manager was most apologetic and gave us movie tickets. I felt sorry for the poor man as he went around the restaurant trying to correct orders and apologizing. Once we received our food, it was a disappointment . I do not intend to return to The Lot.
Great server, very friendly, very attentive .
Love the restaurant
Food was terrible. Salad was old, pasta was returned as it was undercooked. Just a bad experience overall. Will not talen clients there again.
Service at The Lot restaurant is great! Ron was an excellent server, knowledgeable and on top of every request. The manager came over at the end of our meal and was also very helpful.
Thanksgiving Buffet with friends
Thanksgiving Buffet was amazing!!!! The staff was super accommodating and I so appreciate everything they did to make our evening with our family memorable. From the moment we arrived everything was on point. We arrived early to see a movie and it was sold out, so we opted to stay and have a few drinks while we waited for the rest in our party to arrive. The staff in the bar was awesome!!!! The manager stopped by to check on us and wish us a happy holiday. He was very kind and our sever in the bar was also top notch. I checked in with the hostess to let her know when the rest of our party would be arriving. We had one special accommodation and she made sure I knew she had seen it on the reservation and she made sure it happened. I so appreciate her thoughtfulness and attention to detail!!!! Our server for dinner was also amazing and so very kind and helpful!!!
I was worried the buffet would not be great, due to all the one star Yelp reviews. Everything was phenomenal and everyone in our party was raving about the food and the service. We will be back to celebrate our next family get together.
