Our party of three had a mixed experience at this comfortable and pleasant restaurant. I ordered the perch, which arrived covered in a thick batter so saturated with grease that it was inedible (our waiter took it off our bill). The walleye was better. We also had oysters prepared fried and "Rockefeller" which were OK, but done with no greens and too many breadcrumbs. The octopus, albeit not easy to cook perfectly, was thoroughly overcooked, tough and burned in places! The coleslaw arrived halfway through the meal. Our very professional waiter deserves to be working in a restaurant with better cooks and more demanding management.

The Lobster Pot was a fun place to eat before we went on to the Captain's baseball game. We are not talking about healthy haute cuisine here. It is the food that you really want to eat while you enjoy friends and a drink. The food was good and a lot was shareable. We would go back when we are looking for a casual, easy, not expensive place.

The dinner was great. Kelli who waited on us was very friendly, knowledgeable and attentive to our needs. The only two things that I felt could be approved upon is to do a little soundproofing of the walls or something to cut down the ambient noise from guest talking. The booths are old and worn down. The seat cushion needs to be replaced as uncomfortable and you feel like you are sitting much lower than the table height. I would return for sure as the meal was that good.

We ate on the patio and it was delightful. Food was delicious and server was great, as well as fun! The only disappointing part was the lobster rangoon...there were 4 small rangoons which had very little lobster in each for $13. Tasty, but not worth the price. The lobster rolls are delicious!

We sat outside so it was nice and quiet. The smelts were excellent as was the perch. The cole slaw could have been creamier but it was okay. The fries were just so so.

The only negative was the noise level. The high industrial ceilings with exposed duct work , etc distracted from the ambiance. They need something to reduce noise level.

First time to the "Pot". Found it very loud with hard floors, hard to hear couple across from us. Staff was attentive, portions were good size. The lobster rolls were loaded but cold (is this the way they are normally served out east?) Friends had a lobster dish and surf 'n turf and thought it was great. Next time I'll have to try something else.

We had a great experience. All the food was so fresh and was quickly prepared. The lobster newburg was our favorite! This has made our list of places to bring guests to!

We had dinner with another couple. They both got the lobster special and loved it. I got the halibut, which was probably the best I’ve ever ate. My husband got the lobster Newburgh and also loved it. The noise level makes it very hard to talk. They need to add something to the ceiling or walls to absorb some of the noise.
