The Lighthouse Restaurant and Dockbar
I made a reservation a couple days prior for an event. Our waitress and hostess were very professional and very friendly. Our service was prompt and the food was delicious. Perfect for our dinner party.
End of summer celebration
Look forward to a return visit!
Enjoyed your family dinning experience. Service and food were excellent.
We used open table to get a reservation for a party of 12. The table was ready when we arrived. Server was exception. Food as delicious as always. Great experience
Great service excellent food - try the grouper bites!!! Beautiful view!
It’s ok. The online menu has not been updated since changes made in April. We were disappointed by the lack of a couple choices.
Stormi was amazing! She was prompt and thorough. We never wanted for anything and the good was amazing!
Our server was great... especially with our party of 12 and 3 of the, we’re under the age of 8. The selections are plenty. The wings and calamari were delicious as appetizers. Three of us got the bacon wrapped scallops as our entree along with a side salad, and we all agreed the scallops were way underdone! We were kind of afraid to eat raw-ish scallops. We were fearful they’d be overcooked but they weren’t!
Beautiful view. Excellent food. Server made up for a reservation snafu with great customer service! Would definitely come back! Reasonable prices. Great live music just ask to be seated away from the speakers!
Food was beyond delicious and quite reasonable. Noise level so loud it was difficult to have a conversation with the others in our party of 6.
The service was great but the food didn’t reach that level. Me and my friends got crab cake sandwich with onion rings. I got my crab cake fried and theirs was broiled. Onion rings were fried so long the onion rings were were tough and chewy. When I got home I got sick. My other friends did not. Only difference was my crab cake was fried. Not sure why????
The food was delicious and the service was awesome. You have get the Cream of Crab Soup and the crab cake sandwich was amazing. The view is beautiful. I would recommend this restaurant to anyone and it different a 5 star.
Great food. Great service. Beautiful atmosphere. Will definitely go back.
Loved sitting outside...beautiful view! Took us about 15 minutes to get a server and then the server was hard to catch up with at the end. Prices are a little steep (almost think you pay extra for the water view). Seafood was delicious but twice we received a New York Strip, that was supposed to be cooked medium rare, well done. The waitress was trying to get us to eat it anyway but if I’m paying $34 for a strip it better be cooked the way we ask. We will probably go back but avoid a few dishes.
Great restaurant, wonderful food for the price! Great view on the waterfront!
We did a 2pm lunch. Not too bad. We also got a lb. of clams. They sucked very bad.
We had a wonderful dinner with friends. A beautiful table outdoors with an AWESOME view and lovely meal and excellent service...
Out favorite spot in Solomons, great atmosphere, great food, awesome staff!
Wait staff very friendly and helpful. Great view. Great food.
Service was great especially for as busy as it was food was delicious and huge portions
Good seafood, good service, it's dining vs eating.
We had a fantastic experience and would highly recommend.
We dine out quite often and enjoyed the space however it was very loud among the other guests at nearby tables so it was difficult to hear the conversations at our own table. 3 out of the 8 guests had ill stomachs the following day. For the price of the meals we thought the food would have a bit more punch and flavor, portion size was adequate. We will try again with a smaller group and sample other items on the menu in the future but do not feel it will be a place that we frequent. The waitress was friendly however inattentive especially after dinner was served. It was not very busy through the course of our visit with adequate staff on hand. Guests had to ask three times to receive fresh drinks, both from the bar and non alcoholic. Also, considering the cost of the meal we thought the wait staff would be dressed more appropriately. Tight and extremely short shorts are not appealing to some guests while dining. Please know I do not typically write reviews however felt it was necessary in this case. Also, I worked in the business for 25 years in all areas of the house, mostly management from fine dining to extremely busy crab shacks and would have wanted to know where our business could improve. Hope this review is helpful and not taken in a negative way...but you asked :) have a happy day!
The crab dip is phenomenal! Highly recommend the Chicken Chesapeake Wrap with fries. Prices are a tad high but worth it.
Great Food served by a new but very polite and extremely courteous waitress. Had a great time.
We loved our experience at the Lighthouse. It was beautiful scenery, excellent food and great service. Our server Paige was so sweet and very good! I have already recommended the Lighthouse to my friends-It's a must go to!!
Good food not great or amazing, but very expensive for what you get. Service was above average.
My boyfriend and I ate here for a dinner and we both loved it! It has a great atmosphere, our waitress was friendly and attentive but not too attentive, the food was delicious, the views are pretty, and the restaurant is big and has a fun vibe to it. I would definitely recommend people to eat here!
Over priced and nothing special. The outdoor dining is the best feature of this restaurant.
We had a reservation for 6. Our table was ready. No waiting necessary. I had asked for a window view and we did have it. The service was great and the food delicious. We tried several appetizers. The scallops wrapped in bacon were awesome. Great place to eat.
Best restaurant in Solomons hands down.
Everything was wonderful. Our waitress, Kelly, was phenomenal. She made our special occasion so nice. The food was excellent and the ambiance was perfect. We will be back to celebrate milestones in the future.
Atmosphere was great, service was great. Lunch menu was very reasonable. Food was good, but not great. Portions were adequate. Dessert was WONDERFUL. Fancy drinks were great as well. I would definitely come back. The place seems to fill up as we were leaving so perhaps the service and noise level would have changed, but since we were dining between 12:00 and 1:00 it was quiet and very nice.
We were in town for a wedding on Saturday, My mother in law's birthday was Sunday and we wanted to surprise her with brunch with the whole family. I was able to book for 15 people with no problem at all. I even had to change the time and again no issues. We got there and the staff was great, food came fast and was delicious. We ate outside and the view was unbeatable. Everything went off without a hitch and we are very grateful. It's not often easy to get a place to accommodate large parties let alone some where you've never been. These guys did a fantastic job.
I reserved a diner for my wife and I on a Sunday. We arrived 15 minutes early and were seated. We were given menus and then never checked on again. At least 4 servers walked passed us and never inquired at to us being taken care of. After 15 minutes we went to the hostess and explained we were leaving and why. I was only responded to with a "that's weird." There was no attempt at correcting the error. The menu looked great and we were very excited to try the menu. We never made it to a glass of water.
I am a frequent visitor the restaurant. I have a suggestion, however, due to my experience when we had dinner there with my family. My parents are in their 80's and they were visiting the area so we decided to have dinner at Lighthouse. My daughter and her BF also came so we could all catch up. Problem was they seated us right in front of the guy singing and playing the guitar. I expect this experience when I go to a restaurant/bar with live music that starts at 8 or 9, but this was 6pm! He was very good but it was extremely frustrating not being able to talk and catch up as we had planned. I would suggest putting the musical entertainment further away from the tables so they can be heard and enjoyed without being disturbing. The food was wonderful and the view was, of course, gorgeous.
We had a group of six and we were seated right away and the service was very good. Most of us ordered the signature "angry" crabcake. Everyone seemed pleased with their meals. The food is typical Solomon's fare. But, the atmosphere is fun and scenic worth the drive.
Took a group of 8, the staff was very accommodating when we asked to have a seat outside instead of the inside reservations they gave us. Food was plentiful and delicious with good service and nice view.
overpriced. pasta was undercooked. paper napkins at a $50.00 per plate dinner is not acceptable. too casual for the price.
