Prepared Tableside with Creamy Mushroom Demi
Caribbean Cream of Crab with Sherry, Almonds, & Burnt Crème
A Library Tradition Prepared Tableside
Bob’s service was OUTSTANDING his service is what made the experience exceptional! The food was AMAZING as well. I would definitely recommend to anyone
Absolutely outstanding! Definitely don’t get too attached to the menu until your hear the specials. We chose both a baked feta and mushroom cape for the appetizers and they were incredible. The aroma hit as Mr Fisher, our waiter, entered the room. Side bar-request the secret room for unique experience. The appetizers we chose are best for one person each.
The salads are large, very fresh, and the house dressings were amazing. There was table side preparation for the Caesar.
We tried a mango and traditional mojito for our drinks and they were outstanding. Fresh lime juice, mint muddled perfectly, and a good size.
For dinner we chose a filet special and a table prepared filet au poivre. Again, Mr Fisher delivered. He cooked my wife’s filet a perfect medium. My filet was a perfect medium rare. While mine was prepped in the kitchen and hers table side, they were ready at the same time. Outstanding timing here.
Be sure to save room for dessert. We had to take outs to go as we were completely full. Even the to go presentation was impressive.
Mr Fisher, our waiter, was absolutely as impressive as the meal itself. He knew the food history, stayed on top of our needs (without being intrusive) and generally was a pleasure to speak too. It was clear that he not only enjoyed his job but also enjoyed the food and understood the importance of experience. Thank you so much!
Food was amazing, waitstaff knowledgeable and attentive, would definitely go here again.
Not going back
Anniversary. Food was perfect. Brian our waiter was fantastic!
Great dinner, seafood trio appetizer was excellent as well as the filet special
Ryan was very attentive and helpful with suggested menu items. Great food and great presentation. Highly recommend the table side Caesar salad an Cherries Jubilee.
Everything was wonderful from start to finish and our waiter, Mykle, was awesome!
Unfortunate for us, we had a late seating. The staff were overwhelmed serving other tables. We had a change in our server about 1/3 of the way through the meal.
Our meal felt rushed. Our main course was served while we were still eating our salad and soup. Water glasses were rarely refilled.
Salad was over dressed and the lettuce was not bite size.
Salmon - had a “fishy” unpleasant taste - I should have sent it back.
Enjoyed the stuffed mushrooms, French onion soup and the lobster cocktail
Nice wine list; excellent mojito
Very nice experience but a little pricey.
Excellent food and service. Table side mixed Caesar was delicious as were our perfectly prepared filets!
Service was delayed as our server was making table side Caesar salads for multiple tables. Specials were pricey. Wine on the higher side.
Salmon and beef melted in the mouth - specialty is filet mignon. Chocolate peanut butter cheesecake was the best we have ever had. Coffee was weak. Vegetable sides were simple but well-prepared. Ambience was refined - Definitely a fine-dining establishment. Air temperature was a little too cold. Service was impeccable.
Amazing food. A little pricey even for the upscale experience but still worth it.
Our meals were excellent and so was the service. The appetizer with the shrimp and lobster tail was superb.
We enjoyed everything. This is a great place to eat dinner. Thanks for a great night.
We visited The Library while on vacation in Myrtle Beach. We went for my boyfriend's birthday and were very satisfied with the service and the food. It is a pricey meal out, but we did splurge for the occasion. Would absolutely recommend The Library!!
Excellent dining experience, everything was perfect.
Great food excellent service and a very intimate atmosphere
Awesome service and the food was delicious. We would go back.
Best dinner we ever had in Myrtle beach. Bobby was an excellent waiter. Second time this year. Highly recommend
Amazing experience with Bobby as our server. We had filet, lobster and salmon dish from their specials and they were all spectacular. Library martini and mango mojito were also great! Def give this a try
What a great experience. The dining area is very small, maybe ten tables so you can have a quiet dining experience. The service was great and the food was delicious. I’d make hotel reservations and the 4 hour drive just to go back.
We have been to The Library several times and it never disappoints. From the time you walk in the door you are treated like someone special. From the barmaid who could not have been nicer and made a great drink, to our waiter Chris who was phenomenal. He catered to our every need. The food as always was delicious. You could cut the steak with your fork. I definitely recommend if you have the opportunity to dine at the Library to do so.
The food was not good and over priced. I went for my birthday and I was disappointed
Our entrees were excellent, as always, and our server Ryan was outstanding.
It is said that Myrtle Beach is referred to as the Red Neck Riviera. Which in English means if it's expensive it must be good. This restaurant has a local reputation of the best there. Well, the appetizer was a special of Feta Sorrento: heated feta topped with what amounted to as spaghetti sauce. Having been to this dish's namesake, I never encountered such. Then the 6oz filet (the best you can get said the very chatty waiter, he chatted across the dining room and with other waiters) was gristly and overcooked (medium rare requested) and the accompanying single red potato was undercooked. It was also finished with a bourbon reduction and blue cheese with sautéed mushrooms on top. That pushed it into the just acceptable rating. A single glass of La Marca prosecco was >$10. A split was priced but was not available. At $90, which did not include tax and tip, the meal was rather overpriced. I did have better and less expensive meals elsewhere.
The atmosphere, food, everything about the Library is enchanting and full of class. Michael took great care of us and his recommendations, presence, and professionalism truly added to our experience. The food was beautifully presented and every bite exceeded the one before. This is a great treasure and a must place for an incredible evening.
Went there as me and my wife go out every Saturday for “date night”. Everything was perfect from the Library Martinis to our dinners . I had the she crab soup and undeniably the best I had in South Carolina. My wife had the Cesar Salad which was made in front of her. The twin Lobster tails were exquisite and huge and my wife had the duck which she simply said it was perfect. Meals aside , the waiter , Bobby couldn’t be more attentive than he was. The perfect waiter. I would ask for him again! Overall it’s the perfect place for an enjoyable dinner.
Miss the old place but the food
Is still perfect as always will continue to return!!!
The Library is the best restaurant in Myrtle Beach. The food is excellent. We come here every time we are in the area.
It was a very nice night out to celebrate my wife's birthday. We started with the beef carpaccio, which was delicious and very purest for those who enjoy that, like me. We followed that by duck aux cerise and the chicken chardonnay that were cooked perfectly and totally bursting with flavor. We will be back.
Both of us had an amazing meal. Filet Mignon and Duck l’ Orange. Table side Bananas Foster was wonderful. Our server was Bobby, he did an outstanding job. Will go back next time we are in town!
This was a lovely place for a nice, quiet, delicious meal. Our server, Paul, was fabulous and made wonderful recommendations. The baked feta and escargot are very tasty and good portions. We were all glad we ordered the grouper for dinner. It’s very quaint and perfect for conversation.
Absolutely superb in every way. Our waiter Ryan was attentive, friendly and charming. Food was amazing. We ordered Caesar salad made table side, duck with cherry reduction, and chicken with mushrooms and artichokes. Fine French cuisine is very hard to find and this meal was the best. My husband and I can’t wait to go back, and we will bring our friends.
Nice , ambiental restaurant
Service was terrific. Food was very good. Very very old school- think 70’s, with tableside caesar, escargot, etc. no local fish on the menu, but wonderful Alaskan halibut. We are foodies, it is very good, bit the priciest restaurant so far and one of us doesn’t drink.
Delicious quality food! Everything was outstanding!
Lovely night! Special thanks to Bryan. We will be back!
