Served with Angel Hair Pasta & Sun Dried Tomato Pesto
Great steaks! Attentive wait staff.
Best dining, steaks, and seafood in Myrtle Beach. Ask for Bryan
The food was outstanding, the filet was the best I'd had in quite some time! The garlic mushroom appetizer had great flavor as well. Service was outstanding, Jason did a great job.
Amazing meal & the ambience was so romantic. Will definitely go again when visiting Myrtle Beach.
The food is simply elegantly prepared, fresh and delish.
It was a fabulous meal- we had Stead Diane prepared table side- perfect- salad with balsamic- great - mango mojito- wonderful- potato and carrots were the sides they were fine- then we had Banana Foster prepared table side- out of this world- we have eaten at a lot of nice restaurants over the years and this one rates right up with the best. Brian was our server and he took good care of us! We will be going back!
Always love The Library. The food is always superior and unmatched to anywhere you could go. Fine dining is not easy to find in SC so The Library is a gem.
The atmosphere was excellent. Staff as totally professional. Service was better than most NYC top shelf restaurants I have been to. Food prepared to perfection (had the Salmon with crab topping). Wine list was very good. If in Myrtle Beach, a must go to spot.
Great place to try once!
First time visiting The Library. Atmosphere and Decor were great, well decorated and gave me the feeling I was having dinner in an early 1900's English Library. Our server, Bobby, was professional and took pride in his craft. The chef prepared each course with his own unique touches that surprised us, which is something that I truly appreciated. I travel a lot and find myself spending more time looking for the best restaurants, and always looking for the best experience possible. My experience eating at The Library is one that I would definitely share with my friends who are visiting the Myrtle Beach area.
Food was great, just a little too pricey!!!
Superb food and wine quality, prepared and presented in an outstanding manner.
We have vacationed to Myrtle Beach many times and this restaurant never disappoints. By far, the best cuisine, service, and ambiance in Myrtle Beach.
Great service, food and ambience. Will definitely go back and would recommend without reservation.
We dined at the Library on June 24, 2020. We had the entire dining room to ourselves for our 8:30pm reservation. Our server, Brian, was exceptional in every way. Service and food were well above our expectations.
our waiter Bryan was awesome. He took great care of us and had good conversation.
Food was very good and flavorful
Our server was great. His knowledge of the menu and food preparation was at the level of TV personality
Overall a good experience - will definitely come again next time in South Carolina
My husband and I reserved dinner at The Library for our 29th anniversary. The food was outstanding and full of flavor. It is an intimate place and perfect for social distancing during the pandemic. The waiters were great. Brian was our main waiter. He was very pleasant and I would want him to serve us again. We are returning to MB in August and plan to eat here again.
Our server, Brian, was outstanding and the food prepared was exceptionally delicious !
Ask for server Bobby Hill he is fantastic! Worth every penny.
My wife and I have eaten at the Library for our anniversary the last 12 yrs. The food is always delicious. Highly recommend dinner there.
We had a lovely experience dining at the Library. We plan to visit again.
Impeccable service, top quality food, chef has some strange notions. A shame they had no local seafood.
It was a little over priced. But it was very good, would go back for a special occasion.
Shad, Chris and Liz were great
88 Keys with Jenny was a pleasant surprise
We arrived 45 minutes earlier than our reservation time. Only to find that I had made the reservation for the wrong date. Thankfully they accommodated us with a table in the dinning room.
Other than the food being extremely delicious, our Sever Josh was the highlight of our night!!!
He was extremely professional and very engaging with my best friend and her eight year old daughter.
We not only found him as a terrific server but as a friend when we left.
We enjoyed the house mushrooms and couldn't believe how tasty the sauce was.
We also indulged in escargot, French onion soup, table side caesar salad, halibut, salmon, and lamb chops.
We were so full we unfortunately had no room for desert.
Josh and the whole staff at
The Library did a fantastic job ensuring our experience was top notch!
Also very clean restaurant with plenty of social distancing in place!
Amazing every single time
Delicious food , three courses served and prepared to perfection table side for a unique Myrtle Beach A plus experience in dining.
The food and service was amazing. The she-crab soup was possibly the best I've ever had, I'd highly recommend!
Our waiter was informative, yet unobstrusive. He was polite but not condescending. We enjoyed the ambience, sitting near the fire to be able to see the whole room if we wished. We had a delicious melblanc with our dinner. My husband had the seafood appetizer which included lobster tails, crab and shrimp.I had escargot which was delicious. We both had delicious filet mignon. Our dessert was a nice finish on the lovely evening.
Awesome special occasion Restaurant
Great for Birthdays, Wedding Anniversaries or special occasions
Wonderful! Great filet and rack of lamb! Very impressive!
We chose to sit at the bar enjoyed the bartender Liz the maître d’ Chris was a pure gentleman. The owner and chef came out to greet us at the end of our meal everything was exceptional! We even enjoyed talking with other customers in the bar area. We are looking forward to going back and enjoying another delicious dinner!
The Halibut special and Filet special were excellent! We especially enjoyed the Dragonfly cocktail, but I thought that the Manhattan was a little unusual.
Food was delicious. A little overpriced. Great overall experience
Great service and food. The steaks were extremely well-prepared.
Danny, our waiter was spectacular!
Dinner at The Library highlights how far fine dining in the US has come since the restaurant opened in 1974. That is not to say that dinner at The Library is bad, because it definitely is not. It is, however, to say that far better meals can be had for comparable money or less all throughout the region. The restaurant definitely has its highlights - the wine list is diverse and well curated and the bar offers an array of well-crafted cocktails, both classic and modern. We particularly enjoyed the she-crab soup, which is elevated from the norm by the inclusion of curry and jerk spices, which mesh perfectly with the soup. This is a great example of what The Library could be - a perfect blend of classic and modern.
Instead, much of the experience is staid and tired. I often order duck at restaurants; it's one of the few things I don't cook at home. I was saddened by the duck l'orange I received - seven thin pucks of well-done duck, swimming in overpowering, store-bought sauce. We were surprised to learn that the shrimp "scampi" comes in a hearty red sauce and accompanied by what seemed to be a half-pound of parmesan cheese. The six shrimp, at least, were hearty, fresh, and succulent, sauteed just perfectly.
Service was cloying. We asked out server for a minute to look over the wine list, he returned in under 30 seconds and stood over us while we tried to read. It took him five full minutes to describe the fish special, which could be summed up adequately as "Your choice of halibut or salmon, topped with fresh blue crab and finished with a champagne cream."
While I suppose The Library should be commended for the things they do well and their commitment to classical American fine dining, there are a number of restaurants in the area that deliver better and more modern food in pleasant settings for the same price or less. We're glad we revisited The Library, but won't hurry back.
Every time we go to The Library it never disappoints. The food is always excellent and The service is always exceptional. Danny, our waiter, is always exceptional and very attentive. We have been dining here for over 25 years. Danny and the food have kept us coming back. I would highly, highly recommend.
