Our visit to The Last Kitchen was amazing. From the woman who seated us and made some recommendations, to our server who knew the origins of the hotel and gave great advice on food and drinks, the visit was a complete success. The food was excellent. We’ll definitely be back!

Excellent welcome with staff. Parked on the street to side of hotel. Decor is wonderful. Selection of cocktails is excellent. Menu's print is rather small (even with glasses on ) Very tasty duck entree and the half chicken was great......Cookies Plate dessert was perfect. I would definitely recommend this place and will return soon.

My wife and I went for dinner and they offer the bar menu in the dining room. The Bison burger is delicious and the accompanying pub chips were perfect. Thin slices of crispy heaven! My wife had the spinach salad, which she thoroughly enjoyed. I accompanied mine with a Weatherbird whiskey drink which was excellent as well. We finished it off with cheesecake and then were invited to try out the rooftop bar, which is a must see. Great views of downtown and you can also see the roof of the City Museum while you're up there. Definitely a great time both upstairs and down.

We arrived early on Wednesday, not too many other customers; a few playing pool (there is one table) and a few at the bar. We ordered the goat cheese tart appetizer (with beets) it was so delicious - they could serve it as desert :) My husband had the sirloin, and it was excellent. (I got to eat his brussell sprouts - YUM!) My son had the spinach salad with strawberries - similar salads are available other places - he liked it very much. I had the fire grilled chicken sandwich, but replaced the honey-mustard with Cajun Aioli, which I saw listed on another sandwich. It was great, and my husband got the pub-chips - we were both happy with our trade! The menu is not a big one, but if they can keep up the high quality, they will do well.
Side note: As a child, I used to come to that building with my dad to pick up shoes for his small town shoe store :) I LOVE how they have kept some small touches related to the shoe factory that once was. It is a beautiful space, with ornate columns and lots of marble. We hope to try the rooftop bar next.

Gorgeous restoration of the International Shoe Building into The Last Hotel. We were there on the first day of opening, and they did a remarkable job for Day-One. Catfish PoBoy was outstanding, but the fries need an upgrade. Looking forward to great things ahead as they get their operation fully running.
