We are opening 07/01/2019 While we are perfecting our recipes we are offering an opening menu for the first two weeks, still filled with delightful choices!

- Common areas deep cleaned daily
- Digital, disposable or sanitized menu provided
- Sanitizer or wipes provided for customers
- Sealed or wrapped utensils used
- Waitstaff wear masks
Menu was not the same as seen online. Service was way too slow and our server seemed unconcerned about us. Also thought it was ok to bring our salad and entree at the same time, after waiting too long. Charged bar price for a dinner Coke, $5!
Definitely not recommend.
When I booked the table on line I was very excited by the look of the menu but when we got there and was handed the menu options were burgers salad and pizza. Being that we were celebrating a birthday it was extremely disappointing. The food was ok but way overpriced for what it was.
Unfortunately restaurant was closed due to COVID even though it was open for reservations via open table . Very disappointing-staff was not helpful at all and quickly dismissed our suggestion to update their open table status .
They have a limited menu but the food, service, and bar were awesome.
Had a reservation, was told “sit anywhere” by what appeared to be the only staff there. The next thing we knew, we didn’t even get a glass of water until about 10m in, with no greeting, not a single word from the waiter. At which point, we got up and walked out. I don’t trust the experience was going to be redeemed at that point.
Although the menu was a bit limited (we assumed it was due to the global pandemic), we thoroughly enjoyed our dinner. The full service bar in the hotel lobby was quite enjoyable as well. Our bartender, Royston, took very good care of us.
Jordaryl gives the best service in town. He's very knowledgable about cocktails and food menu and he will make you the best drink ever. I will definitely be back.
The food was fantastic! Recommendations were spot on and I loved the architecture and ambiance. Only downside was that our service wasn’t great. There was only one server and she didn’t have the ability to give us much attention. Took a while to get drinks served.
First time visiting with a group of locals. Space is beautiful and well laid out. Food was great, we all had something different and everyone was extremely pleased. Bison burger was excellent as was the Roasted Cauliflower and Brussel sprouts. We will be back!
Suggestion by OpenTable to try this place for breakfast/brunch, and I’m glad I did! It’s inside The Last Hotel, which in itself is worth the trip downtown. The restaurant area is open and spacious, the food was simple and delicious, design/decor is stylish but not pretentious. $10 unlimited Bloody Marys and $15 unlimited mimosas are a nice touch. The prices are competitive with other brunch spots in the area. Overall really good! I will be returning soon.
The ambiance is awesome. The hotel is built in a remodeled shoe factory, with many of the original features remaining-floors, brick walls, pillars. We ate in the bar area during a very busy happy hour so the table service was not available after our order and we got our food. We understood this when we ordered though. Lovely place!
Lovely. We truly enjoyed our day clubbing. Our brunch was excellent.
Was a fun place to go over a local overnight stay. Service was a bit slow...although we were in no rush, however it took awhile to get refills on requested tea. Manager was walking around and very attentive!
After dinner you have to take a trip to the rooftop even if it’s just one drink.
An AMAZING experience. We went for date night and were treated to a well styled intimate space with ambience to spare. The menu was well curated and the staff was very friendly and attentive. All told I spent somewhere near 150 for two on Valentine’s Day and would certainly have spent more for this experience. Don’t read anymore JUST GO. Try the duck.
A unique and unexpected menu with lots of variety. The fried Brussels Sprouts were fantastic. I wish I had seen the roasted cauliflower on the menu, it looked fantastic! We ordered the Romaine salad (a basic Caesar salad), the Brussels sprouts, shoe string fries ( didn’t disappoint), the half chicken and beef ragu. A heavier meal, but oh so good. The half chicken was phenomenal!
We wanted to try a new place. We were delighted. All four of us ordered something different and all were very satisfied. The martinis were excellent. Mischa, our server was great. We will return for sure.
It was ok... not very intimate. I had the bison burger which was great, my gf had a turkey melt and she said it was dry and flavorless. The chairs we sat in were not comfortable. We are not complainers, but this place was just ok for the cost. The rooftop bar was very cool though!

Crab spinach dip was pretty good. Ordered the Buffalou bites, Bolognese, and Steak
sandwich. All subpar even for a mediocre restaurant. Cocktails and service were the highlights. In the middle of a hotel lobby. Expected more from a restaurant on the “Top New Restaurants in STL” list. Will only be back if it’s for cocktails.
Food was good but a special appetizer arrived cold. Manager was great and took it off the bill but...
Service was spot on. Space was okay but a little noisy.
Overall I’ll go back and give them another shot.
Their web site has a banner which says, “Now serving brunch” but when we got there we found that they only had a lunch menu. We were deeply disappointed and angry about their false advertising!

Service, food and ambiance were all very nice. The live jazz music would have been a pleasant accompaniment if it were not so loud. Hard to talk.
The only reason I'm giving it 2 is the manager tried to save our meal but unfortunately it fell short. Christmas Day 2019 and we made an open table reservation here for 10:30am as we had a plane to catch in the early afternoon. There were 5 of us, and in fact we called to make sure they were open for brunch. No mention of a breakfast buffet only! Ok, we get to the Last Kitchen right at our reservation time and greeted by the hostess. She says to give her a minute and they are only serving their breakfast buffet now. We were kind of disappointed, but it was one of those we can get over it fast kind of issue.
The hostess tells us to not even sit down but to go ahead through the buffet and by then our table would be ready. 4 of us decided to wait for the table to be ready so that we could put our coats down etc. The one who went through had no food on her plate except a couple of potatoes and some fruit. She whispered to us there was no food left in the chafer dishes.
So we all go up to get food and lo and behold-nothing! Not even potatoes anymore. I look around and there are 2 chef coated guys standing there staring at us and when we said there was no food, they just looked at us funny.
I took my empty plate back to the table and went over to the front desk of the hotel. I asked for the manager and told him the issue. He said he would get these chafers refilled as soon as possible. The food kind of trickled out from there and we asked if we can get some eggs made to order since they were out of the only egg dish (fritatta). after a while they agreed to make some eggs for 2 of us.
We also noticed there was NO bread or bakery items at all? No danishes, toast, croissants, etc, nothing nada.
Folks- this is breakfast buffet 101- especially for a hotel kitchen to be so bad at getting food out and then not even having the MINIMUM to have a mediocre one at best and all for the low, low price of $20.00 per person.
Toast was finally brought out when our meal was done.

With respect to the "noise level" - the entire time we were dining there was an electrician replacing light bulbs in the lobby and there was a constant, annoying, very loud beeping from the lift the electrician was using to replace bulbs. One would think that this work would have been performed at another time of the day other than during the lunch hour - the noise was ear piercing. The service could have been better.
First time there and won't return. We arrived for an 11:30am lunch reservation...the floors were dirty with food and crumbs. The bathrooms (specifically the toilets) were dirty and the locks didn't work. Our server was friendly and the food was adequate at best, not worth what they charged for a burger and fries. They were putting in some type of dimmer controls for the lighting which resulted in an incredibly loud alarm sounding every 3-5min. We complained and it continued. Had high hopes for this place and saved as our holiday date lunch but were thoroughly unimpressed.
We were two couples for a party of four with a 7:00pm Friday reservation. We all really enjoyed our food (goat cheese + beet tart, steak tartare, cabbage soup, pasta ragu, bistro steak, panna cotta, house "candy bar"). The Last Kitchen kitchen is putting out flavorful food, but the front of the house was a bit rough: our server wouldn't look at us when taking our orders, staring around the room instead of focusing on us. Courses were delivered out-of order (the lone soup arrived at the same time as the diner's main-course pasta), remaining main courses arrived 5 minutes apart, requested bread service never materialized, desserts were delivered before the requested plates and flatware for sharing, and the wine bill, which was paid by one couple, awkwardly arrived in the middle of the meal instead of at the end with the food bill. Live jazz music at the other end of the room provided enjoyable background music, but the scattered service proves that the growing food scene in STL is making it difficult to find and train good servers.
Terrific steak--among the best I have had in St. Louis. Worth returning for.
Amazing service and food! They had a live band playing in the lobby which added so much to the ambiance. We will be back!
Service was very attentive but food was just ok. We all ordered the chicken. The dish came out different than how it was described on the menu.
My family loves the Last Kitchen for Sunday brunch. On this, our second visit, we were all Repeaters, meaning each of us reordered what we got before because we enjoyed it so much the first time. My granddaughter and I got the ricotta blueberry pancakes that are simply the best pancake I have ever ordered out. Though only eight she revealed herself as a foodie when she exclaimed: “They are fluffy and dense at the same time, so moist, it’s amazing! She’s right, and they also have a fabulous flavor, crust and crumb. Then my husband and grandson reordered the avocado toast with lox and a fried egg. My son went for the breakfast sandwich again. This time we shared tastes and agreed we could understand having fallen in love at first bite! Try it! You’ll like it! But be prepared to wait. Service and kitchen are SLOW as molasses.
The menu was on the limited side but you had enough items to make everybody at our table happy. The drinks were very good but a little on the pricey side. Our server was very attentive and did a great job. Good range of prices on food items.
Such a wonderful evening. We visited the rooftop bar for several great views of Downtown St. Louis before dinner. Then made it to the main floor for dinner. The service was exceptional, along with the food. Pizza, bison burger to salmon. It was all very good! We finished it off with the cobbler. Oh yes! We will be back.
Sunday brunch. The restaurant was empty and appeared closed. The food was expensive and very ordinary.
This is a beautiful location and establishment. If only the ambiance, food and service had lived up to the potential. Unfortunately, the night we dined there (Friday, November 1st) a (solid) Jazz band was playing but much too loud for us to comfortably converse. The service was slow to arrive, uninformative when we asked questions and then generally inattentive throughout the evening. We had to go up to the bar and collect our own drinks that were just sitting there while our waitress was engaged gossiping with other staff - this happened several times! It was so bad that the section manager ended up waiting on us (she did her best to save the day). But when the food arrived, the presentation was poor, the duck was greasy and undercooked and flopped down on what looked for all the world like a meager smear from a can of baked beans. My fellow diners were similarly underwhelmed. The top manager tried to make it up by offering free desserts (much appreciated) but it did little to salvage an extremely disappointing evening. Too bad as this noble space deserves much better.
Remarkable hotel lobby, large bar, open kitchen. The menu is small, which is a good sign to me, because it means the kitchen is cooking what it does best. Actually, there is a chalk menu above the kitchen opening, a restaurant menu, and a bar dining menu. I chose a daily pasta special, which I really liked --- I expected a good pasta dish because the chef used to work at Pastaria in Clayton. For a side: roasted oyster mushrooms - delightful
